There's something magical, watching a true professional at their craft. Weather an athlete, an artisan chef, a craftsman...it doesn't matter. I truly respect the skill and knowledge that develops over a long period of time - something that can not be learned by simply reading a few books. I've always had a strong work ethic and I don't like laziness, excuses or lack of responsibility. I worked with a marine veteran for a few years, who had zero tolerance for anyone who didn't give 100%. Pretty often, I'm disappointed (though not surprised), how so many people really don't care about their reputation, long-term client / customer relationships or pride in their work.
When we were looking at houses, our realtor kept telling us, "Don't worry, I have someone who can fix that", "My guy Apollo can redo that"...the typical BS you would expect from someone earning commission, trying to get you to settle and sign on the dotted line. I wasn't getting my hopes up, but we were in a new area and I didn't have any contacts of my own.
Moving to a new house is exciting and stressful at the same time. The inspection report revealed several issues and the inspector missed quite a few others. Apollo was able to remedy everything that was broken, and improved several other things on our "wish list".
Seriously, I can't possibly put into words how happy we are to have met Apollo. From the start, his work ethic, demeanor and skill set was phenomenal. There's such a relief, when you feel comfortable with and truly trust someone, whether it be a doctor, mechanic or handyman. Apollo has earned our trust and we are thankful that he is available when we need him. Our realtor was right and I'm glad we took his advice.
We have one of those home warranties (OneGuard)...don't get me started. Not a great experience and we are definitely not renewing the annual service plan. Huge waste of time and money. 95% of things that need repair are not covered under their contract. We actually had Apollo fix their "repairs" 2 times already.
If you're trying to find someone who is professional, punctual, responsible and trustworthy, you've found him. Just don't keep him too busy (we need him too)! :) read more
