Fleet Paint & Body

Beware Beware Beware…read more **More detailed review on TikTok under Rookie Truckn Owner operator's, Small business, and potential customers please take the time to read this lengthy well detailed review. IT COULD SAVE YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN THE FUTURE. I have contemplated on writing this review for the last couple years mainly because I knew Fleet Body and Paint was not going to do anything to make it right. Now this is the final straw. Back in June of 2021 I dropped off my truck for a frame of restoration. I was specific in what I wanted done and how I wanted it done. I explained to Bob I was painting the truck in memory of a family member and I wanted it painted in Chrysler B3 paint code. Prior to dropping the truck off I sent Bob detailed pictures of the truck and asked for an estimate. He quoted me between 25-28k dollars. When I dropped the truck off I confirmed the price with Bob again as I told him I had a 30k dollar budget. He assured me that they would be able to meet that. During the process I asked Bob to paint the inside trim pieces which he said he can do and it would be an additional 1000 dollars, sure let's do that. The pieces were already out of the truck along with the interior. The truck gets finished and I get shocked with the price tag of nearly 35k dollars. Wow that was unexpected but I was happy to get my truck back after 8 weeks of down time. I ask Bob if he wanted to be paid in cash which he refused, I offered a wire transfer and he refused that as well. He said he wanted to be paid in cashiers check because I was out of state. Keep in mind he didn't have an issue taking on the job knowing the truck was an out of state truck. Bob stated that I can pick the truck up after the check clears. That ended up taking a additional week. Weird but ok. I get the truck back home to finish installing the battery boxes, deck plate, California hook up, and some additional lighting. At this point I realize the there was overspray in certain areas, the frame I asked to be sand blasted and durabonded was only done half way (I asked to have it done to the front). The CB antenna cable was supposed to be routed to the back of the sleeper while interior was out but it was ran through the mirror. Bob's response was "sorry about that we must of over looked it". If you are still here please be patient I'm getting to the main point here. So now we are at the 4 year mark of my paint job and the posted pictures won't lie. Along with the detailed video of things on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. **Please not the truck will be at the Kasson truck show on September 5th and 6th 2025, feel free to stop by and I would be happy to show you the flaws in person. Oh I also forgot to mention I wanted to get the front of my rear fenders touched up from the rock chips. I bring the truck to a local body shop to see if they can scan the paint and get the correct paint to repaint the fenders. Come to find out they can't pull up the paint code. So I call Bob to ask him how I go about getting the paint code for the paint they used. Guess what, Bob tells me they mixed their own paint. The truck was not painted in that Chrysler B3 paint code I originally asked for. It was painted in some Utech U17 code that I have yet to find someone that carries that paint. Probably why the paint is flaking right off of the truck. He asks me why I don't bring the truck back to them to repaint it, I live 3.5 hours from them and didn't really get what I was asking for the first time. Not to mention we are talking about just the fenders getting repainted here. After speaking with Bob on 7/5/2025 he explained there is no warranty on the work performed, the Peterbilt roof caps just crack, the rear fenders paint is cracked from the rocks hitting the underside of the fender, he didn't have an on the fly excuse to why the paint is peeling off. However he did explain to me that based on the price I paid I received the quality of the work as he was very eager to mention how they have jobs that get into an access of 100k. So to the future customers I want you to understand that 35k won't get you far here. Here are some of the reasons I'm deciding to write this review 4 years later. Customers Service Paint is cracking Paint is flaking off Incorrect paint code used Quality of workmanship doesn't match the price Pictures don't lie
