My opinion is people of COLOR, stay away from this business, they don't appreciate our business. I needed some work done on two shaky toilets, I schedule a appointment between 12-2pm, at 3:00pm after sitting around all day with no confirmation that they where coming. I called them and I was told that someone would be arriving, by 5PM still no one showing up. I called back, I got the 24hour answering service. (not an actual Holman's employee) Finally the person I spoke to was apologetic for having me wait for hours and he would reach out to the technician to have them call me directly. They said they would be there in 15 minutes but it was actually 30 minutes. The two tech's showed up, where very polite and professional but I guess they where not suppose to be here because they could not finish the job and had to be pulled away to some other important job. Nor did they have all the supplies they needed. I guess a paying black customer was not important enough to finish the job, the same day since I had been waiting around my house for hours. I did speak with the two techs, the 24 hour service and the Day 2 tech about all the inconvenience I had been through with Holman's plumbing. No offer of any type of compensation, almost like you better be happy with did the work for you (even though I am the paying customer who chose you) The next day another tech showed up to finish the job, he was pleasant but no one offered any compensation for missing a scheduled appointment, a late arrival, leaving early and not being able to complete the job in the same day. So I spent two days for them to complete a simple project that barely took them over an hour. So over a week of the job being completed they reach out to say, "oh we never got paid". I am like I never got a bill, all they said was this was the bill. I enquired about the discount that I was suppose to receive and the receptionist acted like I was asking for the work to have been done for free. I am just like you had me waiting all day, no calls and its just suppose to be okay because you original technician had an emergency. Well it would have been nice to know, I could have chose another plumbing company. But too late now! My opinion is people of COLOR, stay away from this business, they don't appreciate our business. The invoice didn't even reflect any time of discount, so who knows if they stood up on there word. Holman's Plumbing is TOPS on my book. I had an emergency during the night, as I awoke 1:30am and found the house flooded with water, I called Holman's and the on-call person answered politely, listened to me, told me cost of service at this time of the night and would be on his way. He arrived within 10 minutes and proceeded to cut off the water in my house. He listened to the situation, cut off water and advised someone would come in the morning to analyze the problem, if I so desired. The serviceman also gave me a reference card for someone to come for RESTORATION, as there was water throughout the house, mud came into the flow of water, in nearly 60 percent of my house. The serviceman explain the dangers of the water on the wood floors, in the walls, etc. I could not ask for a more polite, professional, thoughtful and extremely kind plumber, who knew how stressed I was was and how considerate he was. In the morning I contacted Holman's for further assistance as to assist with the diagnosis of the situation. Two men showed up exactly the time I was instructed. The main man was diagnosing the cause step-by-step and informing me through the process. After finding the problem and solution, he explained in detail, using no technical terms, but easily to follow and understand what the cause of the problem and how he has resolved the situation. Again, very professional, thoughtful and kind service professionals. My experience with Holman's Plumbing relaxed me, as I was stressed, tense and in shock. Both the On-Call man and the Sericeman were very professional, personnel, and easily understandable in step-by-step as worked through the problem and resolved with solution On departure of Holman's Plumbing Team, I was extremely satisfied and would NEVER hesitate to call for their assistance. This year we decided to take the plunge and switch from a traditional full tank gas water heater to a new and improved electric "top-of-the-line" tankless water heater. When we called Holmans plumbing, they were professional, curious and detailed oriented when it came to explaining the process of "how" they were going to install this product for us as well as removing the old. I may not have mentioned but our original water heater sat in our attic...LEAKING which we were unaware of, extremelye difficult to get to and right above the bed in the master bedroom which screamed "disaster waiting to happen" The plumbing crew was able to place our new heater in an easy accessible location for maintenance which put our mind at ease.. and boy oh boy does it "Sexy" This water heater has been a blessing to our family as we now have peace of mind that: 1: our water heater isn't going to fall on us while we are sleep or leak through our ceiling 2: we no longer have a lit pilot in our attic 3: we have instant hot water at our fingertips If you are thinking of making the move from a full tank heater to a "tankless" don't hesitate... make the jump... and make sure to call Mike Holman so he can get you all fixed up! read more

They did come out when my toilets wouldn't flush and sewage was coming out of the bathtubs. However, the true issue was not fixed. They just basically put in a long snake machine through a hole under the sink and unclogged whatever it was but didn't actually take it out. So I paid about $600 for just to not have the issue fixed as I'm dealing with it again. They do not guarantee anything and will not actually fix the issue. You're better off renting the machine and doing it yourself. read more

Has handled my plumbing needs for years. Always fast, friendly service, fair rates, and the work is done right. Even when they could easily upsell me on stuff, they keep it honest and stick to the work that is actually needed. Most of all, they are reliable! Made the mistake of trying another company through one of the big box stores, and they left me waiting four hours before telling me they didn't work my area except on a certain day, and they wouldn't be there for another four days. That was four hours lost at work! Ugh. Never mind they knew I was without a working toilet at the time! Most recently had them out to do a laundry list of little jobs, and they had it all done in a few hours, including hooking up a gas heater, finishing off a gas hot water heater install, replacing a faucet, installing a toilet with a ancient sewage pipe, and fixing a leaky tub. I expected a bill in the four figures, but was pleasantly surprised and more than happy to pay it. Look forward to contacting for more work later this year. :-) read more

During this horrible week of rolling blackouts and freezing temperatures, a faucet that I was turning on to drip into a bathtub broke. Holeman Plumbing sent a man right away who ran in, stopped it (the valve was frozen and so he stopped it another way, without turning off the water to my house!) He ran out, smiling, without charging me. He said pipes are broken all over town, and he had to run. Love these people! read more

I would not recommend and unfortunately we are still having issues and need repairs. I am 6 months pregnant and met with the "plumber" when he came because my husband was at work. We needed faucets fixed in both our bathroom showers. He looked at both and said he needed to run and pick up a part and would need to order the other. He came back 30 minutes later and said he fixed one (the one he went to get the part for) by just jiggling the handle and would need to come back in two weeks to fix the other when the part comes in. We paid $115 and have never heard from them again. That $115 was evidently so they could jiggle my handle. Called the office and was told someone would get back to me. Honestly I get emotional even writing this because both faucets are still leaking and I have told my husband I cannot stand to have someone come back into our home and take advantage of us. I would love a recommendation of a plumber that is honest and can get the job done. read more

We just did a kitchen remodel at the Callaway House in College Station. Holman's got the contract. They are the worst plumbing company I have ever seen. We still have hand sinks that are plumbed backwards for hot and cold water. I still have faucets and sinks that leak. They looked all sharp and business like when they came out to bid but once they got the job you never saw the owner again. Save your money and call someone else. read more

1. Plumber showed up an hour/hour and half late. 2. Did not understand how our hot water heater worked. 3. Did not fix anything. 4. Stayed less than 30 minutes and charged $85 for an hour worth of "work" of what I am guessing is giving advice since no work was actually done. I wish I could say something positive but when your first impression is to show up more an hour late to an appointment then you've already set a bad example for your customer. And to then charge $85 for zero work? That's flat out ridiculous. Your standard of pay should at the very LEAST be proportional. Especially if no actual work is done. As they said, it doesn't matter if they come out for 5 minutes, they will still charge you $85. Regardless if they fix anything. Thanks for the advice but we won't be doing business with you guys in the future. That's not how a business should run, especially in the BCS. read more

my review is this: they have been here several years back, and did great work and now i have not been able to pay a plumber to put a part on my water heater, and in fact, have not had hot water for a long time. my son paid for the part and when i called this am, they said this afternoon, and it would be $90 per hour. so i said i would call them back. i called at 3:15 and now it will be monday, maybe, sometime, and i can't do it, i am almost 80 and husband is disabled. i had to figure how to raise the money and when i did, they can't come. monday i have appt. w/back surgeon, oh well, why should i be happy? read more
