Underwhelming... First, the service... Service was quite awkward and messy: the owner kept running around and kept speaking in either English or Spanish in a very stressed manner. I would speak in English he would answer in broken Spanish, I would speak in Spanish he would answer in weird English (I am French so I have an accent in both languages, maybe that's why). A new waiter was nice but did not really know what was going on so he always had to go back to the owner to ask (cue 10min more waiting time). What added to the awkwardness was the girls next to us asked to have something simpler than the whole brunch (one just wanted a juice and the other one something that was on the menu, like an omelet), and the scrambling service means it took them 20minutes to go back to them saying "no, we only do full brunch on Saturday-Sunday" so they had to buy a full brunch and take away the leftover as they had already ordered drinks. Now the food... All the items listed on the brunch menu make it sounds appealing, however a few were missing or had been switched (without warning). In the end the plate looks nice and plentiful, but there is close to zero actual cooking going on and the elements were not going together, at least not on the same plate (the warm slamon was on top of cold fruits, making a weird mix). Even more so surprising since it took them a long while to actually deliver the plate (had finished my juice by then). It was ok, nothing special. The cheese was flavourless, bacon was bacon. The caramelized grapefruit was certainly the most interesting piece on the plate, but hardly something to get excited about, it looks nicer than it tastes. The juices were very nice. I recommend taking the Large one since the Normal size is the equivalent to an expresso cup. Now the end... The price on the English menu were cheaper from the prices on the Spanish menu (between $1,000 and $1,500 difference per item). When the bill came they obviously charged us the most expensive prices without apologies or explanations. All in all A brunch without great creativity or taste. I can easily put together a plate of fruit with some cheese at home without having to pay close to $10,000 for it (and that's without the juice). Really struggling to understand how this can be tagged as a great brunch place in Santiago. Holy yum! Seriously good brunch. I had a fabulous brunch today at Holm restaurant in Providencia (a few blocks from metro Pedro de Valdivia). The brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays 10 to 4pm and you have a choice of either vegetarian or "carnivorous" brunch options. For those who choose the regular meat-lover brunch, included is a delicious soup, bacon, ham two types of cheese, fresh Danish bread, home made yogurt with cereal, homemade jam, scrambled eggs, caramelized grapefruit (the grapefruit is cut in half and much like creme brûlée, has burned sugar on top), apple crumble, half an avocado and a huge variety of sliced fruit (kiwi, banana, pineapple, grapes, orange, apple, pear etc). The veggie option is similar but, instead of the meat extra fruit and avocado. The price ended up being around 8mil (around the same price as Quinoa and Coquinaria which I like, but they can't compare to Holm which has better quality and quantity - natural and fresh ingredients). It is super filling - a perfect brunch! I recommend sitting outside on their terrace if it is a nice day. Also, you have to try their delicous fruit juices! Very interesting place here in Santiago. If you wanna clean your body, eat healthy without a boring salad, come here. It is not like thise vegan places, it also offers meat and breads. Salads prepared in delicious ways, many good flavors and the menu of juices is very big. The service is good, the place looks clean and nice.
