Huge thanks to the Hollywood Wax Museum - Myrtle Beach for generously donating tickets to support our Risen Christ Christian Academy Trunk or Treat this Friday! Their team was so kind and easy to work with. We can't wait for our families to enjoy the fun exhibits like Hannah's Maze of Mirrors and Outbreak. Highly recommend visiting--they truly give back to the community!

Went on a Sunday at 9 am. No wait, had the museum to ourselves. Staff is friendly. Took about an hour to leisurely walk through.

There is a coupon online to help knock a couple of doors off. I initially thought I was up for going through the maze exhibit as well as the zombie museum, but I soon found out I don't have the patience for mazes and being scared in an exhibit anymore. The wax figures overall look like most of the people. If you decide to check this place out , go to all 3 exhibits, as I believe it's almost the same price for just one exhibit. Also the stairs on the staircase are kind of deep so be careful. The employees were a kool group.

Highly enjoyable. Recommend the all access pass which includes mirror maze and zombie experience. Wax figures are a hit or miss. Some are spot on and some are not even close. Either way you'll enjoy it because of all the props available to take pictures. Gift shop and souvenir pictures reasonably priced.

Finally got around to visiting this wax museum, my first time at any. Across street from Broadway at the Beach. There are a lot of creative photo ops for people that are into that. We spent majority of time slowly examining each figure verifying these celebrities heights as some were surprisingly short. There are few props at most figures, and some interactive displays throughout. The mirror maze can be confusing a lot of visual illusions. We had to navigate w our hands to advance. The negative is the more people the easier it becomes bc can just follow; if want to challenge yourself choose own path. The zombie portion was probably the least memorable of other two. There were about 3 jump scares that got me but the zombies are not very scary at all. We did the "all 3 attractions" ticket which was $36.99 x 2. There are also pictures available for purchase w King Kong taken before entering. The repeatable value is low here but for a one time bucket list item it's a fun time.

As cheesy as it may seem, the wax museum is a lot of fun. We did the 3 for $39.99 deal and were able to go to the "Zombie outbreak", the mirror maze, as well as the wax museum. I wasn't expecting much but its safe to say i was very impressed. It takes about an hour and a half- two hours to do everything.

Went here with my family on Tuesday July 18th 2023. You can pay for 1 attraction, which is just the musuem, or an all access pass for $40.00 that gives you access to the wax musuem, Hannah's mirror maze, and Outbreak, which is a haunted maze. we paid for 2 all access, and 1 regular. Staff was very friendly. It was so cool that one can take a photo inside King Kong's hand, and take it home as a souveneir photo if you pay for it. Enjoyed all the wax figures, and taking photos with some of my favorite celebrities like Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Reese Witherspoon, and a few horror characters such as Ghostface, Alien, Jason, and Michael Myers. I loved some of the props that one can dress up with the celebrity! overall enjoyed the wax musuem. Next, my dad and i went into hannah's mirror maze. Boy it was tricky getting out of there! Next was Outbreak. First time trying a horror maze like that, and boy, i got scared. either some air or animictric did that, but oh well. we walked fast and found the exit, following some people. Will say, do follow some people if you want to get out of there quickly. Although zombies do seem to scare me the most, as i remember i watched the walking dead one time, and got scared. oh well lol. also, there are no actors that touch you or anything, they just make noises, and some of the animations can be bloody, so do be careful if you have kids. Overall enjoyed this place, and may be back next time i go on vacation, yes even to get scared!

I loved this place so much I do wish I saw some past presidents. A few more rapers especially DMX. It was fun BUT my most Favorite thing was the zombie apocalypse. ( for the people that joined us in the activity, I'm so sorry for screaming the entire time) . My kids loved it all.

This is a staple at Myrtle Beach. You can't have a Myrtle Beach experience without it. We go every single year and we always have a blast. My son enjoys himself so much and it's always fun goofing off for photo opportunities with the watch figures. You're bound to make plenty of memories there. If you're at the beach, you just gotta go! You definitely won't regret it!

Nice experience! Very fun would definitely recommend! Make sure you do the other walk thru as well that was exciting, we just couldn't record in that area. Definitely worth the money in my opinion!

Most of the art is available for purchase and they have a price list at the front desk. Both collections we browsed were exceptional and very good choices. They rotate the artists about every 3 months so if you vacation here once a year you will see new art each visit. They have a gift shop with small items. One of my favorites were "mini-vases", all handmade and cute for about $10 each. Perfect for putting small plants in or adding some handmade decorations to your house. The outside area is stunning. Parking is very limited, probably only 10 spaces. You will drive under some live oaks to park which is very serene. They have a very quiet tea room with a view of the ocean. If I was local I would come here to work for a few hours each week. There is one sculpture on the lawn showcasing ocean plastic litter. Skip those plastic straws and drink out of the cup like a man lol. I would like to see more sculptures or statues on the lawn in the future, make the outdoor area more about art. I definitely recommend stopping here if you enjoy art. I will visit each time I'm in the area.

What a gem! We took a family vacation in January and needed to incorporate some educational…read moreexperiences into our trip. This gallery was suggested and I'm glad we checked it out! We had a group of ten, so I reached out to the museum (as on their site it recommends doing so for groups of ten or more). We were able to schedule a group tour and art activity for $5 per person! But we also would have been free to just visit the museum on our own. The museum is housed in a beach house that was actually moved to the current location from further up the coast. It is a beautiful building with a more modern add on that houses the offices and studios. There is a gorgeous sunporch with games and puzzles that you can enjoy while there. The museum always has two digital exhibits. When we were there it was two South Carolina artists with extremely different styles. One was batik and nature scenes that were full of beautiful color. The other was more modern/abstract and used some interesting layering techniques. The museum educator gave us great information about each artist along with information about some of the museum's permanent collections and history of the museum and building. When we were done with our tour, we were able to make our own batik designs which used white wax crayons and watercolor to design whatever we wanted. It was really fun to get creative in this beautiful space! Overall this is a lovely place to visit. The museum is free but they do accept donations. You won't spend a ton of time here, but it is a great place to spend an hour or so, especially on a rainy or cold day.

There are a few full scale models in various positions, which explanations of the muscles and nerves it takes for those positions. Then there are body parts such as a heart, lungs, dissected head (you see the different layers), etc. It was pretty small (just 3 rooms), but if you're really interested in this stuff, take your time & read/listen to all the exhibits. When we saw we were at the end we went back and really absorbed the info!

As well as displays of individual limbs and organs. These are not fake models, they are all human subjects that have died and had their bodies preserved through a process called plastination (polymer injection) and then they are skinned and dissected to display bodily systems. We found it absolutely fascinating. It is one thing to see charts or plastic models, but to know this is the real thing made it so much more. The full bodies were in different poses so you can see the different muscles and skeletal positions needed to achieve them. There were also displays which showed a comparison of healthy vs. diseased organs. If you smoke or drink HEAVILY this may change your habits! This and other similar exhibits pop up around the country. If you get a chance, check it out.
