First of all, perhaps I should explain what exactly Film This! is. Film This! is a permitting…read moreservice that helps a production get their permit for filming locations. This is not to say that they secure for you the physical location necessarily - unless it is on public property- then they will.... by getting your signatures and taking the surveys and whatnot. I guess it's kind of complicated but hey, look at the website: http://filmthis.net they explain better. Really, Film This! comes through on all fronts providing everything that they claim they do with personal flair. They cover your butt and let you know what you are dealing with when it comes to a hard location. They are accessible at all hours and come through during difficult situations.

In the interest of full disclosure, I really didn't care about having a videographer for our…read morewedding. I figured a photographer would be sufficient and I couldn't really wrap my mind around the added expense especially given how uncomfortable I anticipated being the center of attention. I loathed the idea of being filmed, assuming each shot would be of me looking strained and awkward every time I saw the camera. Also, most wedding videos look so forced and "wedding-y" that they just seem insincere. Suffice it to say, I have never been happier to be wrong in my life. Aside from being a gifted videographer, Evan Olman is an extraordinary individual. He has the best temperament, no bull-shit, and he just exudes positivity. By being so chill and awesome himself, Evan reminded everyone to just enjoy the weekend in all its glory! He was forthcoming from the very beginning in getting an idea of what we wanted and how we operated so that he could do his best to make us comfortable. He also ran all over the place to multiple locations with his equipment in tow, smiling all the while with joyful reassurances. Without a doubt, Evan was our favorite guest! And then on new year's day, the highlight video arrived. I'm still reeling from how incredible it turned out. Evan captured the most incredible moments that still take my breath away. I can't get over how much time he must have spent editing the video. He created a piece that truly reflects us and our "formality be damned, devil may care" attitude so that, in my sisters words, there's nothing douchey or trite about it. Per our loved ones, watching it makes you feel just as spectacular as we did in the moment. It is a treasure. This video is the greatest gift. I'll never be able to thank Evan for all of his hard work and creativity! Honestly he could charge double/triple and it would still be well worth it all. So don't be stupid. Hire Evan! Seriously, dude, he's magic.

It was pretty easy for me to locate without a GPS (I was having one of those kind of days.) on Santa Monica Boulevard since I had already been to other casting studios in the area. Thankfully parking was easily located within one quick loop around the neighboring side street off of Santa Monica Boulevard. As always, be very aware of where you park your car whenever in Los Angeles, or anywhere for that matter. I always allot for plenty of time for traffic and so I can basically scope out the location of the studio seeing where the best street option to park would be. And always, always read the signs before leaving your car because you'd hate to come out from an audition and not have a car to come back to! Once inside the studio, I was glad to see a clean, spacious open loft type of waiting area with lots of bench seats available. Even with the crowded waiting room, including a constant flow of people coming and going, the room temperature still felt comfortable and not muggy. I was very grateful for that with the hot weather we've been recently having. No one wants to look sweaty before their audition. There were also clean bathrooms readily available and accessible, if needed. We hope that our future auditions and call backs are at this or similar comfortable studios! #73 / 100 Yelp 100 Review Challenge 2014
