First, the cleanliness. Many laundromats have filthy floors. But not this one. When we visited, it was very clean. Almost exemplary. And the washroom was also very clean and obviously well maintained, which is rare in itself. The washing machines didn't have any weird smells, black fungus or stuck old detergent from previous users. Second, the equipment. It was good. Well maintained Electrolux washers and dryers. The smallest washer (20 lb) did a good job with a regular wash and warm water. The price - 5 CAD for 28 minutes. The dryer dried our small load in just 16 minutes (1 CAD). The biggest washer takes 77 pounds, which is quite impressive. Third, the vending machines. They were well stocked. You could even buy big bottles of detergent if you wanted to. Plenty of snacks and drinks as well. Fifth, the atmosphere. There was a lot of seating near big windows. Two TVs were playing racing and wildlife. Quite cozy. The area also has interesting food choices nearby (some of them are very questionable though, be careful). What could be better: - coins don't always go through, we had to retry a couple times (never had this issue before) - main wash requires powder detergent (we didn't have it, so had to buy one for 2 CAD for a single load using the vending machine) Overall, though, my kid declared it to be his favorite laundromat. And I agree.

From the moment we walked in, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we had everything we needed. It's rare to see someone take so much pride in their work and care so much about the customers. The entire place was spotless including the bathroom and well-maintained, which made doing laundry there so much more comfortable. Donna's positive attitude and willingness to help really stood out and made the whole experience easy and pleasant. If you're going to Laundry Boss, you'll be lucky if Donna is there. She truly provides five-star service and is a big reason We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! This place and Donna are 5 stars!!

Dryers: industrial grade, 25 cents gets you 4 minutes They have carts to wheel your clothes around as well as a clean area for folding. I've been short-changed here before because quarters were just dumped in my hand instead of counted out for me. The pricing keeps getting more and more expensive ($6 in Nov '18 to use a large washer and however much more to dry, the price varies as the machines don't always work). It's becoming untenable for ageing machines despite spending money to renovate their service area, and very bad service. It's the business' duty to guarantee the machines are working, and when they're not working, it's their job to believe clients and make it right, instead of telling paying clients they can choose to put more money in for broken machines. I avoid doing laundry here as much as possible. I also hate leaving reviews like this, even worse for places in The Market. But honesty and community is important, and you get what you give ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was a bit disappointing and very inconvenient that the WASHERS ONLY ACCEPT 25¢ and $1 coins. The DRYERS and Triple Load WASHERS ONLY ACCEPT 25¢ coins. But They have a functioning Change dispensing machine on site. Also, there are no instructions or guides on how to use each type of machine (especially the triple load washers). So, a first time user will be super confused. This isn't helped by the lack of staff on site. They have a secure Free WiFi and a TV that's on sometimes - though the channels are not my taste. There were brooms around to allow you clean up after yourself. Helpful. They also have a soap, bleach and softener dispenser on site (at extra cost). Along with a snack and soda machine. Just pray it doesn't steal your coins. I can't recommend the business because in addition to a few issues above, the owner is a little inappropriate or disrespectful in attitude when they do show up. Not a good thing considering the laundry is located in a religious Jewish neighbourhood with families. They recently added professional laundry/dry-cleaning services where you submit your clothes to the staff and they do a professional wash.

That's how I felt about Harbord Coinwash after the disaster that was my old laundromat. It sounds like a basic concept, washers that work and wash your clothes, and dryers that actually dry your clothes, not to a ton of laundromat in Toronto sadly. They had a variety of different sized laundry machines and front loading machines. Not to mention that the price changes based on the level of soiling and heat of the water, which is much appreciated. A cold wash in a front loading machine? My wallet and Mother Earth thanks you. The dryers are some of the most reasonably priced dryers that actually work. In addition to effective washers and dryers, the owner clearly has put some love into the decor of the place, making me feel comfortable chilling out while waiting for my laundry to dry. This is as opposed to some of the much dirtier, never been cleaned before places around. While this place is a little further from me than many many other laundromat, I think the walk is worth it, not only am I satisfied with everything, I'd rather give my money to someone who appreciates their customers.

Most of the machines are broken, the hot water does not work, the dryers open up midway even if you put a low amount of clothing in. Secondly, the workers are disrespecting and extremely hostile. I had walked in one time to change loonies and quarters in the machine, because I was going to come back with my clothes and the money ready to go, and the usual lady who is there started accusing me of coming in there just to change my money and not obey the customer only rule. That was my last time going. Third and lastly, the cleanliness and maintenance of the laundry mat is horrible and disgusting. I almost slipped on a dryer sheet twice, my clothes became full of pet hairs after using the xL dryer, and on top of that my clothes came out smelling like piss, and im a very clean person. It could be that they just want to make it a cash grab, or maybe they dont have enough workers, or maybe some other reason, but scamming people out of their money and wasting people's time is no way to run a business.
