the management have been awesome especially Madison, maintenance has been amazing! the only problem I have with is the valet trash pick up. I took my trash out yesterday morning and when I came back my trash was still there and everybody's trash has been picked up. now I have to throw my own trash out and take it to my original apartment that's getting renovated. Would never recommend to anyone , where do I even start on this hell hole ? First of all , water is split amongst every occupant of the building ( not just your unit) , there's a second water removal charge added to rent , the appliances are new but somehow still not in good shape , doors have been repainted so many times you can see peeling layers , the faucets are coming up off the sink , the shower heads hang out the walls , the drains don't do well , we moved in here in a pinch as a last resort due to time concerns with our last place , and upon further reading the lease agreement there's a clause that says everyone on the lease must turn in a 60 day notice before you're able to vacate the apartment , so not only are we stuck in a overpriced slum, we now have to pay additional fees to our rent , I've been in 3-4 apartment complexes and never felt more scammed then I did by this place .. also we have 3 kids and our neighbors are awful about complaining about noise DURING THE DAY , they're elderly , maybe move to senior living apartment ? read more

Really loved living here! Not far from everything and very quite. The grounds are kept real nice and the management and maintenance teams are professional. When we moved in the price to square footage was a no brainer and I've had a very decent time here at holly point. I'm moving out simply due to a change in interests but if my life was in the same place as when I moved in I most certainly would've stayed. Great neighbors too! I do think the price is a little high now but if it's affordable for you and you want to live in a location that isn't a transitory space for traffic this is a great pick! read more

My Husband and I have been living at Holly Point for a little over 2 years. We love the location of the complex and how quiet it is! They have always kept up appearances as far as grass/shrubs/flower beds. Maintenance is fabulous, they always come to fix issues within a timely manner multiple occasions they have come the day of to fix things! We always enjoy the amenities they offer, especially the pavilions that provide BBQ pits & picnic tables!! Overall we have nothing but great things to say about HP! read more

The apartment was dirty when we first moved in and not at all what we were showed as the "show room". Carpet was stacked on old carpet and the downstairs neighbor was a chain smoker. With a child, I automatically bought an air purifier. Didn't help. Just an overall low standard living conditions. read more

I enjoyed this apartment complex. I was there for 2 years. I liked how I could park in front of my apartment and walk straight in. I enjoyed the river that runs through and the quiet environment. However, there were weird centipedes. I didn't have a problem with management when I asked them to spray around my building more often. My boyfriend also sprayed Home Defense and that seemed to be the only thing to keep them away. Also, sometimes the water would smell like rotten eggs. Not exactly sure why. It was very unpleasant and we never drank tap water. read more

I live in Holly Point, really a great place to live. When I call or come in the office, I seem to get Lis. She is a great customer service person. She has been very helpful to me and my husband. Just became a resident of Holly Point and am so excited! Liz had been the one who answered the phone when I had first called and was interested in Holly Point. From the rip she was so incredibly helpful and bared with me through all of the silly questions I had. She has been so wonderful and extremely knowledgeable through the whole process. Keeping in mind that this is my first time moving into a place I think I made a very good choice as to where it will be. Lived here for 3 years and well they like to increase your rent every year , they'll fail to keep you safe. Every day people jump over the fence and break into your cars and bully the residents . My friend still lives there and it's only been getting worse . Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere and save some money while at it. read more

I would avoid this place at all costs. They nickel and dime you and all they care about is getting more money out of you. They require a 60 day notice before the end of your lease which is absurd. I've never heard of anything longer than 30 days before in the 5 different places I've lived. They give you no leeway and make you sign a 40 page lease so they can slip in plenty of details to screw you. It looks nice but it's all cheap and they only put money into appearances. If you want to be respected as a tenant, I would look elsewhere. Plus they never even open any of their amenities that you are paying for. They couldn't even find a lifeguard in the summer and the gym has been closed for 6 months. Not only do they automatically increase your rent with no notification at the end of the year. They add an additional $40 "month to month premium", that we have to pay for staying 6 days past the end of our lease since that is technically 60 days from when we notified them. This place is unbelievably greedy and don't care about you at all. Just money. read more

I have lived here for 6 years and have never had a problem with any of the staff. Any maintenance requests have been handled quickly and efficiently. The grounds are well maintained. The community is quiet and friendly. Staff are always riding around in golf carts during the day keeping an eye out on all apartments. I love living here. read more

We have been living here for about 6 months now and we love it. The prices are amazing for the amount of living space in comparision to the other apartments in the area. We have never experienced any trouble with the utilities.The bathrooms are pretty basic and the eat-in kitchens could use updating, but they get the job done. I was surprised by the amount of storage space available within the apartment. The grounds are very well maintained and I always see the staff driving around to make sure there is no trash on the street or yard. Front door trash pick up occurs twice a week. The fitness center is rather small, but it is never packed. If being a gym rat is not your thing, there is also an outdoor pool, an indoor jacuuzi, a sauna, and an outdoor tennis court. There is a dog park (it looks small from the street but it is actually pretty sizeable once you are in it) and a handful of dog waste stations throughout the property. The biggest problem we have with this apartment complex is the neighbors. There's a lot of elderly people living here who are not the most tolerant people. We have been having issues with our downstairs neighbors the whole time we have been here - apparently my entire family is too heavy footed, so they complain to us about making too much noise with our steps. They even called the cops on us for a noise complaint (the cop said it was "heavy footsteps, or something") one night over us walking around in our own apartment. We spoke to the property manager about this and she is allowing us to transfer to a different unit. The whole process of talking to her about the problem and signing the paperwork to transfer was much easier than we expected! Almost everyone we have worked with in the office is pleasant and willing to help. read more

They have weird huge centipedes all over the place. Vicky the property/site manager, has proven to herself to be deceitful and untrustworthy in what she says. There are MAJOR Parking issues. They hand out visitor parking slips, yet there are no assigned parking. There are visitor parking, which one would assume if you don't get a visitor slip then you must park there. Otherwise, the rest of the parking is NOT MARKED as Reserved or with apartment numbers etc. There are no numbers to the towing company and the apartment complex in which you are visiting is clearly written on the visitor slip. Why are they towing people's vehicles with visitor slips and no notification. (people's vehicles are being stolen basically) there are no signs posted of this towing. Not even in the visitors section. read more

I currently live here. Overall, I love the community, any problems I have with my apt are addressed within 24hours. The grounds are kept beautifully. I love being able to park 10 steps away from my door. The only thing that I will change is security...it's pretty much non existent. Both my neighbor and I have had our vehicles broken into. You can't choose who your neighbors have as company. I just wish there was cameras around. read more

I like Holly Point a lot. The location is great! The space of the apartments are great for what you pay. I've never lived in an apartment because of horror stories but it is ok. There are some things that could be better. I moved to another apt within the complex and I am regretting it. It needs to be updating. It isn't like the first apt I rented here. Spiders stay around the windows and doors. I have to wipe down spider webs every few days and spray constantly. Other little funny looking bugs get in somehow. I think they need to start using Orkin they are the best. The noise is outrageous where I live now. The neighbors above me are loud all times of the day. Its annoying. Lastly, there isn't a real community room. The community room is used for the Rental office staff. There is a 1st fl apt that is used to host function but people live above it and on the side so you can only use it until 6 pm in the evening. read more

Would not recommend this place for military personnel. They try to get you for any fee they can. The rules and regulations are constantly changing and keeps you on your toes rather than living comfortably. Most of the complex is senior citizens and they think they are entitled to something, they always complain about anything they can. They demand their own parking spots, discriminate against gays and motorcycle riders. They are forced to park bikes in visitor because the old people want to park directly in front of their door. They tow cars like nobodies business. read more

The community is nice and quiet and the grounds are well kept. The ladies in the office are nice and friendly, besides Vicky the property manager. She has proven to herself to be deceitful and untrustworthy what she says. The apartments are spacious and the price is reasonable for what you get. You have a security system in the apartment, washer and dryer for $50 per month extra, dishwasher, water included. The water smells bad when you first cut it on and that is believed to be because the water comes from the canal in the neighborhood. It's a very quiet and safe feeling community. There is a bug issue that many residents complain about and the office just wants you to deal with it. They have a major problem with centipedes and giant roaches. They will have their extermination come out and spray which only decrease the bugs are about a week and then they are back. All it does is help the bugs go on vacation,breed, and get stronger and bigger. They will repeat this cycle of spraying and do nothing else. If you have any issue with the apartment that was preexisting (like bugs) they will act like they are working on the issue but if the issue is not resolved and you want to transfer to another unit they will make you pay $400 to transfer. Overall everything is good while they are getting your money and assisting with the move in process. You should just hope that nothing AND I mean NOTHING is major wrong because if it is you will end up with the short end of the deal and end of paying out major money for THEIR SITUATION. Maintenance is always polite and responds quickly to the minor things like appliances etc. Just again beware if there's anything major wrong...you will have to pay and they will give you the run around and eventually you'll have to come out of pocket. I've never experience renting like this. I've experience way better. I could see if the issues were because of me but I shouldn't be penalized with preexisting issues. read more

Lived here 6 months. Those centipedes were EVERYWHERE. I don't know how those suckers would get in because we never opened the windows once. My main issue with these people was that when we were signing the lease, they were super nice and amazing and when we had to break the lease 6 months later, they treated us like dirt. The girl had a huge attitude. Trying to figure out some information for the lady, my husband made a quick call and she kicked us (my husband, my son and I) out of her office in an awful rude manner. It just made it seem like "oh since you're breaking the lease, we basically don't give a crap how we treat you now". It showed their true colors. The only useful person in that place is Natalie. She's amazing! AnywAy, we moved and I was trying to find places to live and came across them again and thought, they're cheap so maybe we can look past the stank attitude and the damn creepy crawlers. So I call holly point and the lady on the other end basically tells me that she'll let me back if I take down my review on another website. Told her no way because the review wasn't anything that wasn't true. Everything I posted I was honest about. She threw a tantrum and I hung up on her. Don't come here, there's plenty better places (I would know because I found another!) than this place. they only care about $$$$ read more
