They were actually closing 4-5 minutes early but allowed us to come in but told us we needed to be quick. I asked where the frisbee golf stuff was and they pointed us in that direction. They had a pretty good selection The staff was friendly though at check out. I have shopped here in past. They have a nice selection of hiking and camping gear at fair prices. Have also gotten hiking boots here in the past. Have not found the staff to be overly helpful in that department in answering my questions regarding boots. Also last pair of hiking boots I got only lasted 6 months next . My next hiking boots I will probably go to Sierra trading post and get a little higher quality brand where staff can help me out some. The camping gear has all lasted and been good for us though The store has a whole has quite a variety of items in it for good prices.

The main store has a great selection of new and sort of new independent rock vinyl albums as well as new punk and metal albums. Maybe 100/150 plus lots of Record Store Day finds. In addition they have probably 5000 to 8000 used records from current to the 1950s. Staff was super friendly and parking is in the rear lot.

They have quite a few CD's in the store but mainly geared towards hippies. I.E. psychedelic or acid type music. Not a bad selection really if you are into that kind of thing. Very appropriate to have this kind of music at a smoking pipe ('head') shop. Technically with the CD selection this makes Rock 'n' Robin's probably the only independent CD store left in town. All in all not a bad place to go and visit... I almost always buy incense here. Not too sure if it is fully a 'my kind' of store though; I don't feel inclined to spend too much time here.

Walking into Runners Roost in Fort Collins feels like stepping into a true Colorado running…read moreinstitution. This isn't a generic big-box sporting goods store. Runners Roost has been part of the Colorado running culture since 1977, when the first location opened in Colorado Springs. Over the years it has grown carefully to about ten locations across the Front Range, while still keeping that independent, community-driven feel. The Fort Collins store absolutely carries that spirit. Even though I didn't end up buying shoes this time, I really enjoyed the energy and vibe of the shop. It's welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly built around people who actually run and understand the sport. They also carry a serious lineup of brands. You'll find running staples like HOKA, Brooks, Saucony, ASICS, New Balance, Altra, and On, along with apparel and gear designed specifically for runners and endurance athletes. What stood out to me most was the variety. Whether you're a serious marathon runner, a trail runner, or someone who just wants a comfortable pair of walking shoes, there are plenty of options to explore. Fort Collins has a lot of great shops in Old Town, but places with nearly 50 years of running heritage are rare. Runners Roost is one of them. Definitely worth stopping in if you care about running, walking, or just want to browse a store that actually knows its craft.

If you have a question, go ahead and ask them. I have used them to supply my running, swimming, biking and fueling needs. Not the cheapest but It is so good to have a store in town that loves all the endurance sports. Local with a lot of good advice, suggestions and stories. I will continue to go back to them.
