Bruce Beeman of Wolter, Beeman, Lynch & Londrigan expertly represented me in an extremely…read morecomplicated case of dental malpractice with ensuing medical consequences. This convoluted case encompassed many years of negligent care provided by the defendant and thus required numerous depositions from dental and medical specialists located in two states that spanned 2,400 miles. As an MSN, RN, I held high standards for legal representation, and Bruce exceeded my expectations. His assimilation and command of the voluminous, complex evidence was impressive. Bruce is professional, yet personable. He is realistic, yet confident. As an experienced attorney for over four decades, he is ethical, efficient, insightful, judicious, and strategic in capably researching, preparing and presenting a case to optimize the outcome. When the Circuit Court granted partial summary judgment to the defendant based upon the statute of repose, Bruce resourcefully provided a compelling argument before the Appellate Court of Illinois, Fourth District. Citing case law that the defendant's treatment fell within the continuing-course-of negligent-treatment exception to the statute of repose, Bruce skillfully represented the undisputed facts that caused the trial court's judgment to be reversed and remanded for further proceedings. Bruce is an exemplary attorney whose expertise was unsurpassed at every juncture in my case to ensure that justice prevailed. Linda F.

Mr. Ackerman is rude, unhelpful, condescending, dismissive, gaslighting, inequitable, and lacks empathy. One might assume being a malpractice attorney, he would be trauma informed, he is not. I found his name on the ISBA website, as it had been recommended by numerous people, to search for attorneys. Illinois Legal Help and the ARDC recommended the website to me. He's a braggart, his website states personal attention, responsive communication, fully informed & engaged, and he takes complicated cases. I understand he has the right to choose what cases he's interested in, but the manner in which he spoke to me, was uncalled for and insulting. He told me to "calm down!!" when I became upset. I assume most people that contact him are looking for legal assistance and are not educated in law. After desperately seeking assistance, having an attorney's like James Ackerman talk to you the way he talked to me, you lose hope.

I felt hesitant to call this attorney after reviewing his website. It contains a blog that is,…read morebasically, nonsensical. I don't know if he is using some sort of talk to text software, but, it's failing. I did call this attorney (and others) because he appeared to specialize in the kind of case law I needed. My disabled adult son lives in a group home. In this group home, my child is being injured by another resident. The staff is failing to keep my child safe, and allowing these injuries to occur. This attorney called me back two days after my initial phone message to him. During the "conversation" he was distracted, perhaps he was also eating or at least chewing gum because I could hear it. My initial hesitation was confirmed. It was further confirmed by the next statements that came out of this attorney's mouth. "Well, I don't think this is a big deal, a few scratches isn't a big deal." Who said it was a few scratches? I said, repeatedly, that these are OPEN human bite wounds. "Well, why don't you just move him." If this attorney paid attention to the conditions in the State of Illinois, in particular, in regard to treatment of the developmentally delayed, he would know that the state is ranked 51st in the nation (Illinois ranks last, or 51st among the states and the District of Columbia, in the number of people with intellectually and developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in community-based housing of six persons or fewer. This ranking comes from a 2008 University of Colorado report, The State of the States in Developmental Disabilities.) Lastly, I assume because my child isn't living at home with me, nor have I moved him (due to lack of housing), he assumed that I couldn't afford to hire him and attempted to dissuade me from filing suit or hiring him by stating "This is going to cost you thousands, if not tens of thousands." Guess what? I have thousands, I have "tens of thousands" in fact. What I want is an attorney who cares about the rights of the most fragile residents in the State of Illinois. Who is as outraged at this situation as I am. Luckily, after I spoke to this guy, I was able to find just that person.

This is one of thee worse lawyers you can hire, if not thee worse. I got screwed by him. My first…read morered flag was the lawyer himself during the consultation was telling a story how others have been unsatisfied they take so long and have no contact. Now after calling over and over again for months trying to get answers why my case was taking SOOOO long, they lied every time In a very condescending and non caring voice) saying they were waiting for the bills. The billing companies however all testified they had sent them numerous times after I requested them. After growing tired of this, i confronted them about this fact and they immediately became extremely aggressive with me verbally. And then after a complaint it's taking to long they lied and said it hadn't been that long, and that signed on August 2. However I'm confident I was out of state from August 1-7 for my birthday. Clearly catching them in a lie again. Mark Lee himself again lied to me after telling him i had the bills. Saying he will gladly stop by the next day and pick them up. Of course that was a lie (as to be expected at this point) as he did not show up....Then after calling several ties with no answer, i called from a different number and behold they answered immediately not knowing the number. After answering because they didn't know it was me, i asked why they had not shown up as promised. They proceeded to give a very poor excuse that he couldn't come due to the weather (which wasn't bad, roads cleared of all snow, and plenty of traffic on the roads) Further more I fully believe that they forged my signature to try and make their clear lies more believable about it not being long since i hired them. After having three people with me testifying I was out of state and that the bills had been sent out despite there lies, he became EXTREMELY dehumanizing. After months have gone by I was forced to fire him. My time wasted, money lost, and he just thinks it's all a big joke without a care about how he has victimized me and others, or what he has done to me and others financially. He has shown no regret for his actions, and still has yet to apologize.
