Due to a location change, I recently had to visit another dentist. He came highly recommended and was very competent, but he was a little rough, didn't have the best bedside manner, and said that I needed a bunch of very expensive preventative work. I realised then how good I'd had it with Dr Clarke and his lovely, experienced team. They are honest about what needs to be done, but don't go crazy suggesting work that may or may not be required. All the dentists there are noticeably super experienced, which puts even the biggest scaredy cat at ease. And everyone is so cheerful and pleasant, I've never really felt like going to the dentist is a chore. I've removed a star only because of the wait time; even as a 25-year patient, I still have to book kind of far in advance, and it can be tricky getting in at short notice - particularly during school holidays. But if you are the type to plan out your dentist appointments, you'll be AOK. Overall, highly recommend the whole team, especially Dr Clarke.

I had had braces as a teenager but after not wearing my plate, my bottom teeth had crowded up again and I wasn't happy with how 'flat' my top teeth looked so in my late twenties I decided to have braces again and I'm glad I did. I saw Peter in Frankston as well as in his city rooms as I worked close by. I had braces on for 20 months and it was relatively pain free. The staff there were always friendly and helpful and the fee was tailored to fit within my budget. I recommended him to three of my friends and they were all thrilled with the great results. Their infection control is impeccable which is really important for root canal as there needs to be a sterile field. The dentist was really thorough he checked my perio ( gums) and took an x-ray , he is also excellent at numbing up usually it takes me ages I was numb within 2 minutes which was great. I couldn't be more happy with the service of the dentist and his dental assistant who was friendly and efficient . My tooth now has a favourable prognosis he even managed to get part of a broken file out which is nearly impossible even for specialists . I have seen it time and time again people getting teeth extracted because it is cheaper but replacement options are just as expensive and they don't last forever not even implants. My advise as a dental assistant to anyone who needs root canal is to make sure they use a rubber dam to isolate the tooth from bacteria and also to help you to avoid swallowing the bleach solution used to irrigate the tooth, look around to ensure the staff aren't touching anything with their dirty gloves this can spread infection via other patients and know that root canals should not be painful it is the dentists job to be able to numb correctly. Don't sit there in agony, tell your dentist, they have an ethical obligation to stop and give you more anaesthetic The staff here tick all those boxes I couldn't be happier I would recommend them to anyone .

I was very satisfied with my treatment. I was assessed and a plan ewas given to me with all the pricing I would be up for. My dentist explained that we could do certain procedures (more urgent ones) and wait on doing the other procedures. I wouldn't usually review a dentist, but I feel this experience warrants it…read more I recently moved to the country/area, and needed to find a new dentist, which is usually a challenge for me because a) I hate going to the dentist and b) I like to think I'm relatively smart and appreciate the rare doctor/dentist that just talks with you eye to eye rather than at you. Greville Dental came up pretty quick after a search, it seemed like an okay place, so I went for it. I'm happy I did as I probably had the best experience at a dentist in my life. I was able to book the next day, I arrived on time, filled out a short form and was seen right away with hardly any wait. The dentist I saw - Shannon Yap - was friendly and direct and efficient and explained all that was going on in my mouth in clear language/detail, walking me through the X-Ray's after and pointing out a couple of things that needed amends, but also wasn't pushy about booking me back in etc. Then, turns out it's a Bupa Members First place, so the whole clean/consultation was covered even with a basic plan, and I was out in about 30minutes with a complimentary bottle of listerine and toothpaste (nice touch). For the first time in my life, I'm actually planning on going to the dentist regularly (every 6 months to a year) so long as I live in the area. It was an unexpectedly pleasant (for a dentist!) experience, and I highly recommended giving it a try if you don't like going to the dentist.
