When you enter, you can enjoy a cup of tea or water before your appointment. Tonight's massage was as phenomenal as the rest. It's easy to book through their site and super advanced booking is not required. I've been happy with every massage therapist here when I pick whoever is available. Tonight I had a massage with Z, who was thorough in explaining sensitive points and attentive to how I was feeling throughout.

The location was new to me, so heads-up, you do have to walk off of the main street to find it. I don't know if the reviews and website were all just so beautiful that the decor and vibe inside didn't meet the idea I had in my head? But I felt the space could use a little more life and warmth. In the actual room I was in, too. I wonder if a loose draped tapestry could help, maybe more mood lighting, some plants in the room--just a little warm TLC. Side note: When booking, I chose a 30 min massage and 2 add-ons. Then the calendar event for the appt said 45 minutes I assumed this was my massage and add ons. It's not. 15 minutes is set aside for consultation and undress (I think.) So because I chose 30 min massage and add ons, I only got to experience the add-ons. So just keep that in mind when you're booking. Maybe don't book on your phone at 1am, lol. Now my actual service was very nice. My hair smelled amazing after. And the masseuse was so sweet, thoughtful, helpful, and informative. She gave me some great tips for keeping up with my health. I have re-booked with her for simply an hour long massage service so I can experience the real thing! Looking forward to it.

Wonderful experience with Mo! My lower back feels fossilized sometimes because it's soooo tight,…read morebut Mo was so thorough and put in a lot of work to help alleviate the pain and stiffness, which has plagued me for about 20 years. I am fit and I am a longtime yoga practitioner. I understand my role in managing these issues, but no amount of exercise can offset 8 hours sitting at a computer a day. A good massage is sometimes the only thing that can help when my body really starts locking up. Ive tried a number of massage therapists who are trained through westernized programs, and I even had a standing appointment with a wonderful reiki master who was a massage instructor for many years. Unfortunately, none of these therapists (who were legitimately excellent) were able to provide much relief for issues like persistent psoas tightness and snapping hip syndrome, etc. Mo is the first massage therapist who really made a difference in my pain and my low back and hip function, after just one session. I don't know if I truly do need deep tissue work or if it just *feels* as if I need deep tissue massage to me because of my usual experiences, but I always ask for deep work and rarely feel as though it's even close to being deep enough. A lot of massage therapists just don't seem to have more than textbook classroom-based understandings of the body, and they tend to try to use sessions to lecture me about the most basic things or assert their expertise, even while they're failing to recognize where my muscles are tight and how to actually address the tightness. That's why I decided to try an eastern-based practitioner this time. This was a fairly vigorous and intense session and I got the exact pressure I wanted/needed, without having to even say anything. It felt as though I finally got some release along my spine. She also did exceptional work on my shoulders and mid-back as well and gave a brief scalp massage. It made my whole week! Lalai is my new standing massage therapy provider and I highly recommend them, and Mo :)

I called to book a deep tissue massage for 50 minutes, with the massage you can use the pool and facilities before or after your treatment. The spa has a very relaxing vibe and was very comfortable. I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment. I had a short wait since there was only one person at the front desk and there were helping other clients at the time. When it was my turn, I was warmly greeted and given a tour of the facility. The changing rooms are right off the main lobby area, and I was guided around the area and advised on what was available to use. I decided to change and then head to the relaxation room to await my massage. The room had flavored water and hot tea available, as well as a few packaged snacks. There were several Lounge chairs available with sheer curtains to provide some privacy. My massage therapist arrived right around my massage time and took me to my room. She was very nice and explained the process and asked if I had any areas of concern. Unfortunately the massage wasn't great, I had opted for a deep tissue massage, but not a lot of pressure was used. She also never checked in with me during the massage and it ended a bit early. The facility is beautiful and next time I will try a facial or another service since I loved the atmosphere so much.
