We have been staying here for years and glade to say this was best visit we have had, slept great on the new king bed. Very nice to see all new upgrades in suit 303.

This was a great experience! The room was super clean and they were so accommodating for whatever we needed. The rooms were large in size! We had a lake view and it was a great way to wake up in the morning. We also loved we could utilize the balcony of our room and look at the lake

This place was run down. Our room was terrible. 1 star hotel. The desk chair was cracked and worn. Stain on the bedspread, scratched, beat up doors. Bed was torn on the bottom. I complained. The owner would not give me a credit or discount. That tells you a lot. Bad ownership... bad hotel. The room was a dump. I place people in housing for work and would never send someone there. The front desk person was very nice. That was my only positive takeaway.

Dirty stained tub, filthy hot tub and no towels at pool. We are IHC rewards members and it gets you the worst room in the hotel.

Filthy stained bathtub. Couldn't use hot tub because it was filthy also. No clean towels at pool at 5pm on a Thursday.

Great location. Clean. Friendly staff. Easy parking. The beds were a little hard for our liking but everyone is different. The view from our room was beautiful. So much yo do in the area. Not much in waking distance but plenty to do up the road a bit.

I was on a long road trip with my boyfriend and we decided that it was getting pretty late so we should just stop somewhere to recharge. When I called the front desk (nearly at midnight) they were very helpful and accommodating. They had rooms available and they didn't mind us coming in after a few hours late into the night. The room was less than $100 on a sunday. We could even see a bit of Lake Michigan through the window in the day time. The room was very clean and taking a shower was like the best thing ever. We got a nice hot breakfast the next day as apart of the amenities. Good times! I was happy we stopped here. The town of St. Joseph was very nice to visit as well. They were displaying ice sculptures and you could walk down to check out the lighthouse.

Our purpose for our visit to St. Joseph was to attend my sons wedding !! We checked in on Thursday afternoon after driving 3 hours and were met by 2 hostesses, Marianne & Teresa, quite promptly. We had a few laughs upon check in with these fine ladies which made the experience 5 stars for sure!! Great way to treat your guests ladies!! The lobby was clean and neat, full breakfast was also included from 6:30-9:30am. Our room was clean and neat also which included a view of the lake. It was a crisp, clear beautiful October day! The bathroom was clean and cleaned well over night as was the room! This hotel also has a great view of the lake! Great place to stay in the city of St. Joseph! Oh almost forgot... you can bring your ... DISCLAIMER: it must be made of stone!! They have a stone dog in the lobby. Also it was all I could do not to sit on the "merry go round" horse in the lobby but I did sit the car in the lobby!! Just me havin' a little fun!! Hahahaha!!! Can't have things like that around with ME around ... Also they have bike available to rent!! How cool is that?! Way to go guys!!

Stayed here for two nights on our way to Colorado. Holiday Inn Express is clean and taking full precautions for COVID-19. Must wear mask in common public areas. Pool & Fitness closed. Restaurant next door "The Lake House" owned by same, but under different management. Lake Michigan is across the street. Clear view of the sunset. Silver Beach about 2.5 miles down the road, easy access to beach, restaurants, shopping & free parking. This was a lower-priced accommodation option compared to B&B and the hotels right next to shopping. It was very easy & quick for us to get Benton Harbor/Silver Beach. Didn't feel like we were missing out on anything by not staying right in town.

Excellent experience! We stayed over Fathers Day weekend. The customer service from the reservations clerk to the house keeping staff was exceptional. Made us feel at home! Even when my son took ALL of the free cookies back to our room! (Sorry!). Rooms were clean and comfortable. Sunset view is one of the best in the area. Free breakfast was great and the restaurant next door was wonderful! We will be back!

Nice room. I didn't think to snap a photo until we were leaving.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay here. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. The room was clean and well maintained and the staff was courteous and professional. They had hot breakfast which broke down like this: Day 1: Veggie egg white omelets and sausage patties: meh Day 2: Scrambled eggs and bacon: awesome Day 3: Veggie egg white omelets and sausage patties: meh Every day, they had biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, bagels, muffins, etc. If day 2 breakfast was served every day, it probably would have pushed it to a 5 star review. The pre-made "omelets" and sausage patties were very hospital food-like. They also had high chairs, which was huge for us, having a 10 month old. Seating was very limited, but there was spill-over seating in a few conference-type rooms connected to the lobby, one sharing a window with the pool. The view of the lake is some of the best sunset viewing in St. Joe. Very few room actually have a view (ours didn't), but there are a few picnic tables on the lake side of the road and you can also sit on the patio at the Lake House next door and have a cocktail. We will be back!

The hotel thought it was acceptable to start construction right outside my window starting at 7:00am. Totally inexcusable.

I've enjoyed lunch and dinner at their restaurant, Plank's Tavern, and I've always enjoyed their outdoor tiki bar with a water view! They have nice, updated rooms, a cafe that opens early for espresso drinks, and their hot tub is awesome because it goes outside! It's fun to relax in the hot tub during a Michigan snowfall. My only complaints are that the elevator is incredibly slow and they only accept dogs in the condos, which are much more expensive to stay in for a night compared to the hotel rooms.

In addition, we wanted to use our credit card points so our selections for this weekend were slim but overall this checked all the boxes. What went well was that our room was quiet. There was 24/7 coffee/tea available in the lobby. the space to walk the dog was really nice as there were two locations on either side of the buildings. Additionally enjoyed the set up of the room and the amenities such as the body wash and the hand soap. There is some room for improvement at this location in regards to breakfast items. It was very continental and really didn't do the trick however we were able to enjoy bagels, toast, hard boiled egg and they did have a few varieties of fresh fruit. In particular, I wasn't really a fan of the pancake machine and the traditional waffle iron would be much more hardy and suitable. Overall, no major problems with our room however, the TV system is unique and sometimes it works, and sometimes it didn't often to look at Pluto versus even accessing the live channels as their entertainment system is kind of finicky. Additionally, the lotion dispenser in our room did not work, and I really wanted to try the lotion as I thought the fragrance for the body wash and hand Soap was very pleasant. Lastly, the workers at this hotel are just not very friendly. They're not rude. They're just not hospitable and that was evident from the front desk to the breakfast attendance to the maintenance person. They just were not very friendly or engaging at overall. If in this area again, I would stay at this hotel if the price point was right. overall it was a good value and close to St. Joseph while having the charm of Stevensville.

In other words we were lied to on numerous details. I made a reservation 5 weeks in advance of arrival for a king room with sofa bed. This would accommodate My husband, myself and my 16 year old son. This was already less than what we really needed but we were told this was all that was available. My son could at least have the sofa bed. When we arrived, we were given a room with only a king bed and told that they took the sofa beds out some time ago. Huh? Then I was told by the front desk clerk and manager (with a heavy attitude of indifference & deference) that there was "nothing they could do that they were sold out" no offer to check other locations no apologies no show of sympathy no concern at all. I was told that because I booked with Expedia, it was really their fault/responsibility and not the Hilton. I countered that it was also the Hilton's responsibility to stand by reservation agreements. The manager basically sneered at me and accusingly said that I made the reservation with Expedia - a 3rd party and it was no responsibility on their part. She claimed that I "got the best daily rate of $248 vs the $278". Uh, excuse me I paid $394.99 per night" We reluctantly decided to check in and call Hilton corporate. I was super tired after our long distance drive. We were also told that the "complimentary breakfast" is not complimentary. That actually the breads danishes fruit were included but that the eggs bacon etc would incur added cost. I spent an hour on the phone with corporate and am now waiting for a promised call back.... Sounds like I also need to make a call to Expedia...
