Check in was not until 3p and after I told the receptionist I had just flown in from the USA, she immediately arranged for the room to be prepared and within 30 minutes I was in bed. What an awesome, cozy hotel room located in the center of the city. I stayed in the Dream suite, but each is different with varied themes. The owner (Nadja) arrived late afternoon and served a homemade Gin & Tonic from the hotel bar (also quite cozy). The most amazing G&T ever made with specialty local Gin and tonic water and a story to cap off the experience. She offers G&T mixology classes there as well. Not sure if Hotel Bliss is five star rated with Trip Advisor, but the service and experience is a 10 in my book! Worth a trip to Holland and the city of Breda for the "Bliss"!

Within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shopping. Of course the rooms were clean well appointed, etc. But this hotel is so much more. If in Roosendaal I strongly suggest you give it a try. As a Bonvoy Gold, they had a nice note, small bottle of wine and mixed nuts to welcome me. The complimentary breakfast was great with tons to choose from and all the espresso drinks your heart desires! They finally sent someone to fixed the clog. On the bright side, it's location is the most praiseworthy. You can access restaurants and shops working short walking distance in all directions.

Bike rentals for $8.50/day…read more Man, I love this hotel! Just got done with a 2 week stay when I tagged along with my hubby who was working in nearby Papendrecht. HUGE room, a gorgeous pool, adequate fitness room, and a HOT sauna! Great bar. Nice pours of wine for $3.50 E. Staff is super friendly, downtown is a 10 minute bike ride away and the front desk has maps. I will ALWAYS stay here when I stay in Dordrecht from now on. The restaurant is fabulous as well, but portions are very large so be careful not to over order. Menus are available in English.

The hotel is very easy to locate, it is pretty close to the highway coming from Rotterdam or Amsterdam. The hotel looks nice from outside, a very vanguard architecture as many buildings in this country. The lobby is pretty big and spacious. Service is friendly and fast. I was in my room in 5 minutes from arrival. The rooms are big for European standards (With a King size bed), I don't know if is like that because of being a Spa. Very well lighted with a ceiling light or 5 lamps if you want. The bathroom is pretty cool and modern as you can see in the photo (love the shower... ) The restaurant is open late and the food is a little bit in the pricey side. If it happens that you are in this city or Breda, it is worth to try. My only wish... that the pool is bigger. PS. No air conditioner :(

Merel van Dort from The Slaak recommended the Rotterdam Marriott, and even offered to cover the difference in rate. Bonus point #1 to Merel for having done this! I then began working with Demi Vevat at the Rottderdam Marriott, who managed the transition seamlessly. We had a few last minute cancellations, which she also graciously allowed us to cancel. From working with Demi, to checking in, to our overall experience, I have to say the customer service at this hotel is as good as it gets! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great! Shout out also to Olaf, who was a gem to work with! The rooms were spacious and clean, the Concierge Lounge had a great breakfast and evening snacks. We had a couple of meetings in there that afforded us a quiet spot to meet. The proximity to the train station is PERFECT, and the ability to walk to many places is easy. To make things worse when purchasing a coffee I didn't notice they were out of milk and the tall older guy at the front desk proceeds to tell me in English then Spanish that there's no milk ( I'm guessing because I look Hispanic ) which I found unnecessary because I obviously had previous interactions with him and spoke only English. The hotel is a bit old and has probably not been refurbished in the past 20 years or so. The room has a bit of tired feeling but it was clean. There was a desk with a decent work space and free wireless Internet (you have to get the access code from the reception) and the TV was probably the newest thing in the room. There was also a water kettle which I really appreciate - often it is nice to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room. The bathroom was pretty small but still sufficient. There was room enough to fit a bath tub in there. A small mistake had probably occurred since the container with shower gel and shampoo had been put on the wrong wall (as far away from the shower as possible). It was no major problem as soap, shower gel and shampoo was also provided separately. The restaurant at the hotel was pretty decent. Nothing special but the service was consistently friendly. The same was true for everyone at the front desk as well. The breakfast was no really hit, it had the standard things but I would have wanted a bit more variety.
