Room needs to be much cleaner. Terrible internet access. Better places to stay in town.

Which is across from the Best Western. I also felt safer as my coworkers we're staying here. Even our gate agent warned me to stay close to my coworkers since they were males. When I checked in 15 mins after changing the reservation, they greeted me warmly, let me know each Monday thru Thursday morning that they serve light appetizer meals and complimentary wine and beer, sodas and bottled water. They also set out some fruit as well. Their breakfast was nice: waffle maker, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, sausage, toast, hot oatmeal, cereal, Danson yogurt, oranges and apples, and their robust coffee was good. My room accommodations were nice. The put me in a two queen room. It has a desk area, and seat, flat. Screen TV, microwave and fridge. They provide mouthwash, soap shampoo conditioner, shoe polish kit and a make-up remover in the room. The room also had a 2 USB outlet and two outlet adapter on the lamp in between the beds and a separate alarm clock. It was a nice touch. The pool area has a heated pool and the hot tub was closed until further notice. The pool goes from 3ft to 4.5 ft. Not very deep, which I like. The fitness center had free weights, differ My rate was 199 per night.

This place absolutely saved my life this week. Unfortunately, I have to stay in good ol' Williston,…read moreND about once a year since it's smack-dab in between two clients of mine. As many know, the oil boom has made lodging in Williston hard to come by. My usual Hampton Inn was sold out months before, and even with Diamond status with Hilton, still couldn't book a room. After Best Western completely screwed up my reservation, I was thankfully able to get a room for two nights here, and in a way I'm kind of glad my reservations got derailed. This place is a total breathe of fresh air in the, um, interesting town of Williston. This hotel has full-service amenities (including room service, a 24-hour pantry for microwaveable meals and other accoutrements, gym, pool, and full bar) and ran me about $299/night, which is pricey, but you don't really have much choice out here. It might be cheaper if you book it in advance when you don't have other hotels dicking your reservations over. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful, something hard to come by 'round these parts. There's your usual drunken riff-raff that come around at night (fat hookers and loud, drunken rednecks) but as long as you stay in your room it's not that bad. It's WILLISTON. Cuddle up in the free robe they give you, watch a movie on the free fast wi-fi, and be grateful you don't have to live out here.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. It was booked for a handful…read moreof us for a work trip, but it was just a less than amazing experience The lobby is confusingly nice and modern. It is bright and inviting, but the rest of the hotel is visibly old. The staff working the reception were hit or miss. A couple were helpful, and a couple were downright rude There are two levels that interconnect in confusing manners. There are odors that are incredibly unpleasant. There is an indoor pool with water slides in the center. Sometimes you can smell the chlorine in the hallways. There is a workout room, but it is one of the saddest workout rooms I've ever seen. A home gym would probably have more equipment, better lighting, and would be more inviting The rooms are spacious enough, but the furniture and everything is visibly old and run down. The bathroom was clean ish, but old, and I spent as little time in there as needed There is a restaurant and "The Tavern," which from the outside looks cheesy, but the interior is just as confusing as the rest of the hotel. There is a modern looking bar with a gas fireplace right next to slot machines. The service was less than exceptional. Drinks took forever, and the menu prices were outdated, and when the check came we were told these were the new pieces The thing that got me the most about this hotel is there are no elevations. We had huge pelican cases with equipment, and we were booked on the second floor because the first flood was full. It was an absolute pain lugging the suit cases and gear up and down the stairs Some tips: There are some restaurants and a Walmart in walking distance. Williston is a small enough city that this is fairly centrally located Cheers!!

The Hotel from Hell: A Cautionary Tale Disguised as a Review…read more I want to start this with a warning--not just a review. This place lures you in with kind smiles and a deceptively beautiful lobby, like a siren's song calling you straight into a nightmare. Yes, the staff is lovely. But even the friendliest faces can't save you from what lurks beneath the crumbling facade of this forsaken establishment. My horror began in the parking lot. A cursed wasteland of potholes so deep I thought I'd fallen into the underworld. My car now pulls hard to the left, as if it, too, is trying to escape what lies inside. Pavement? Uneven and jagged. I suspect it shifts at night--maybe by design, maybe by something... older. Inside, things seem normal. Too normal. That kind of unsettling calm that makes you question your instincts. The lobby is warm and welcoming, the staff cheerful. But don't be fooled. That's where the charm ends. If you're staying during the week, you might survive. But heed my warning: never stay here on a weekend. That's when they arrive--the wedding parties. You see, some madman (or sadistic architect) once had the brilliant idea to build an internal ballroom surrounded by guest rooms. That's right--your room opens into the chaos like you're staying inside a nightclub... or a sonic torture chamber. It's as if someone tried to trap joy itself in a steel box and blasted it through industrial speakers aimed directly at your soul (and your room's paper-thin walls). And the music? It never ends. The bass reverberates through the floorboards, each thump like a heartbeat you can't escape. The creepiest part? Some of the rooms appear to have once opened into a pool. Doors and windows stare blankly into the ballroom like the ghost of a past life. You can still hear whispers behind them--echoes of laughter from weddings that happened decades ago, maybe longer. I opened my window once. Just once. The noise rushed in like a banshee scream. I swear I saw something move across the dance floor. But when I looked again... nothing. Just empty chairs. And a single balloon slowly deflating. Worst of all? I wasn't even part of the wedding. But the hotel sold me the room anyway. Like a lamb to the slaughter. I didn't dance that night. I didn't sleep either. I just laid there, staring into the dim ballroom light, listening to the haunting soundtrack of someone else's celebration--and my own descent into madness. TL;DR: Stay here if you want to lose your alignment, your sleep, and quite possibly your sanity. Five stars for the staff. Zero stars for everything else. Run.

I called…read morearound to find the best deal because as everyone knows this is not something you have money just lying around waiting to be spent.Anyways, I called Microtel a&spoke with Savannah. She gave me a great rate & was ready for us when we arrived. We had spent nearly 24 hours of driving (Phoenix 2 Williston) & were emotionally and physically drained. She was pleasant and actually quite caring about our situation. That was the beginning of our amazing stay. The next morning we had a doctors appointment with my mom. When we got back to the hotel later that afternoon I was drained from the news and just an emotional mess. We had my nephew with us and I didn't want him to see the mess I was. So, I walked to the lobby to get coffee (they have coffee all day! Thats a very nice treat) and tears started falling down my face. I couldn't stop them. So I sat at the table and let the tears fall, The front desk lady came over & asked if I was okay. I told her no and then started bawling. The employee held me for a good 5 min. Once I got my tears to stop I told her the news I just received & instead of the awkward silence she said "Sweetie, just keep your head everything will be okay. Let me get you another cup of coffee." She went above and beyond her front desk duties that day..(Microtel needs to copy what ever this manager has done and spread it nationwide) The next morning I was carrying breakfast up to our room. The housekeeping supervisor had noticed me and asked how I was doing and she was so sorry to hear about my mom. We chatted for a little while in the elevator she offered to open my door. ( I had mine and my husband's breakfast) I told her thank you. She said no problem and please know you're in my thoughts. I know that sounds like what everyone else says but I could tell she meant it. I had declined to have them change sheets but I asked if I could get an extra pillow and a few extra towels. The housekeeper gave me what I requested and insisted on at least coming in and changing out the garbages you're probably thinking "well duh, that's her job."She came in asked why were staying there. I told her and she looked about me and so Oh sweetie I am so sorry. What can I do for you? She didn't have to say that & I know if I needed something she would helped me. Every Employee here was amazing! The hotel is clean quiet&comfy. It's limiting my review but stay here its the best! I love the staff. I hope I don't have to go back to ND but, if I ever do I will be staying here.

I wish I could give no and I never say that…read more This was the last hotel stay on our 8 night roadtrip and the worst of all the places. We pulled into town at about 9pm and stopped at a place that had no vacancy. I goggled our options in the area and called the 800 number of this business. I spoke with a representative that wanted to transfer me for free perks. No lady! It's late. We've been driving for 10 hours and I want out of the car and into a bed. I asked if they had 2 queens for 4 adults and she says yes. We booked and paid for the room over the phone, while simultaneously driving over to the location (I'm not the one driving!). I check in and the front desk clerk doesn't have our reservation. What!? I told her I just got done talking with someone and gave them my CC. I showed her the phone number that came up with the Google search and it was their corporate office. She refreshed her computer system and found us: a 1 room with 2 double beds. Um no! I asked for 2 QUEEN beds. ** A double bed is a Full size bed. It does not fit 2 larger sized adults. I've been cramped up in a vehicle. I don't want to be cramped up in bed too. They sell twin sheets, twin XL sheets, full sheets, queen, kings and California king sheets. I have never seen double sized sheets at Target. ** They are sold out of rooms with queen beds and only have doubles left. That should have been clarified over the phone because in would have passed. However, she assured me they can fit 2 people. Whatever. We got a 1st floor room at the end of the hall. We park our car at the nearest door and unload our bags. Walking into the room it smells like wet dog. Gag! And the beds were indeed narrow, full sized beds. Just like I thought. But the room was plenty wide enough to fit 2 queens. Again, only 3 pillows in each bed. I don't get it with hotels and only 3 pillows. If you're putting 4 people in a room, then give each person 2 pillows. They're should be 8, not 6 available. Tonight I took 2 and gave sis the 1 reject pillow. Dad had to move the car after unloading as that side of the parking lot was getting resurfaced and was roped off. It seemed like forever he was gone so I went looking for him. The key card didn't work on the opposite side entry door and he was locked out. In the morning, I saw someone had jammed a rock in the doorway to keep the door open. Maybe we weren't the only ones. Back to the beds: We dealt we each other's body heat, legs touching, hips touching, arms touching. Geez, I sound like a pre-teen. Mom, she's touching me! Funnily enough, Sis actually fell out trying to turn over. After that, I just got out, turned myself around and resituated myself in a new position. The air conditioner was a good noise machine to drown out the ceiling creaking from the patrons walking on the floor above us. The bathroom was okay. Plenty of towels, wash clothes for all. I didn't realize how bad the smell in the room was until you left and then returned. Just nasty wet dog. We took part of their continental breakfast at 8:30am. Only a little bit of milk left in a pitcher in the mini fridge. I saw they had a waffle iron but no batter. I asked the new front desk lady if she knew where the waffle batter was. She said she'd make some more. The pitcher was in the sink, drip drying from being washed. It only took her a couple of minutes and we were in business. Tasted good. They also had grab n go paper bags filled with water, apple, and cereal granola bar. Other than 1 other man eating, we saw no other guests. So we ended our trip with a big giant fail. Didn't ruin the trip but it could ruin yours. Avoid at all costs! It's not worth it, not even a money bargain as it was over $100.
