I was moving across from Texas to AZ. My rental truck blew thw granny and I was towed to the Holiday In here in Globe AZ. The staff that checked me in as well as the staff that was working when I checked out were awesome. Great customer service!! Room was clean and quiet, after being stuck on the side of the road for 4 hours waiting for my tow truck to arrive it was nice to be received by this location. read more

Stayed here these past two weeks. The rooms i stayed in had bed bugs. I was transferred to three rooms. I was bitten all over. I was denied a reimbursement for my personal items that were most likely infested according to the exterminator. Although they did offer to wash my clothes. That did not solve my luggage issue. Which i was advised to get rid of due to bug contamination. The employees there were great. They have a great costumer service attitude. I just cant speak much about management and the owners of the hotel. This was no probably the worst situation i have ever been in. read more

The toilet didn't flush, so right away we had to fix that. The body wash dispenser in the shower didn't work either; good thing I had my own soap. We had 1 washcloth for the two of us, and there was a used pod beside the Keurig. Not exactly ideal. read more

I wish I could do zero stars. Worst experience ever at a hotel. They double charged my card for the room which lead to me being unable to pay one of my bills on time and being charged late fees. When I tried to call the manager she said she knew about it and nobody even cared to tell me! Then I went downstairs to get a snack and the front desk lady was talking ceap about me in the lobby with everyone to hear. She obviously didn't know that I was the person she was talking about she just kept talking about how horrible the girl in room 311 is. The manager took forever to get back to me and then told me all she could do was give me points if I become a member?! Why would I become a member at the worst hotel? Worst experience ever, I will never stay here again. DO NOT STAY HERE. read more

The check in process was very easy. My room (319) was larger than most hotels. I have status so I'm not sure if I got an upgraded room but there were two queen beds, a pullout sofa, small dining table, work desk and wardrobe (since there wasn't a closet). The bathroom was a little cramped but they usually are in hotels. The HVAC system worked well. I'm not sure if that's because the weather was cool which made it easier to keep the room at a good temperature. The WiFi was finicky. Signing in took a couple of tries because it kept timing out. After I was able to login the internet worked okay. It was a little on the slow side but that's kind of normal for a hotel that is completely booked. Breakfast was a standard HIE breakfast. It rotated throughout the week but there was always biscuit/gray, turkey sausage patties, a second meat, eggs and an omelet. The second meat was either bacon or sausage links. The omelet was either cheese or egg white with peppers. My group utilized the conference room while we were there. I would not recommend this site if you are there to use the conference room. We had 18 in our group. The room was setup in a classroom format with a projector and 18 was a pretty tight squeeze. Also, the mechanical room is located right next to the conference room. When the HVAC system is on, it's difficult to hear in the room. At the same time, the room gets warm quickly because the access to the mechanical room is right there. We were lucky it was cool outside so we just left the back door open. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. It's the only non-motel in town. I think a little competition would help them step up there game for the extra star. read more

This is probably the newest hotel in Globe and thus the most modern looking. We had called ahead and requested an early check in time which the front desk said would be no problem, we could check in at noon (Normal check in time is 3). I got here at 1 and my room was still not ready. The front desk clerk was very apologetic and ordered the housekeepers to clean my assigned room right away. Since I had time to kill I went downtown and browsed a bit before coming back. The room was spacious, and came with a coffee maker, full size ironing board, microwave and mini fridge. The bed had both a labeled firm and soft pillow which was a nice touch. The bed itself was pretty comfortable to sleep on and the TV had all your typical channels you'd find at a hotel. The bathroom had all your usual toiletries, and was stocked with Bath and Body Works products. Shower pressure was decent. The room itself seems to have thinner walls as I could hear the couple next door to us in the afternoon but luckily I couldn't hear anything at night so I was able to get a good night's rest. There is free breakfast in the mornings which offers both hot and cold foods. There's a lot of variety and the selections include cereal, fresh fruit (Apples when I went), biscuits, gravy, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, 2 types of sausage, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, various breads and an automated pancake maker (Will make 2 pancakes in a minute!). Beverages include coffee, tea, juice, and milk. The seating area is nice with plenty of seats. The taste of the food? Well, it's free so I'm not expecting a gourmet meal. The pancakes from the machine definitely tasted like a machine made them since they were a bit rubbery. The turkey sausage I had was super salty and the gravy had an industrial taste to it with a very viscous consistency. I thought the scrambled egg circles were OK and I liked how they had a condiment stand with both packets of La Victoria salsa (Meh) and Tabasco (Alright!). Also note that this would be a good place to stay if you have an electric car since they have charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars. For the price, it's about the same as the really nice Dream Manor Inn. Overall our stay was decent but if I had the choice I'd pick Dream Manor over Holiday Inn if I were to stay in Globe again. P.S. There's an employee who has a small chihuahua with no tags and a collar that waits outside for her while she works. When I stayed here it was waiting for her all day and into the pitch-dark evening. Being fairly new this hotel is trashed. Air conditioning units and so noisy , dental pick on the floor,no hot water after running 11 mins, dust on the cabinets, shower floor is disgusting, internet is non existent, night shift desk guy could care less about your stay. Do yourself a favor and go up the road 7 minutes to the Apache hotel and casino you won't be disappointed. read more

We had a group of 8 people. We were there because there was a forest fire. We are a helicopter company that fights forest fires. At first the rate was 179 then we were told the rate was going up to 340.00 So I negotiated a price for 225.00 when we got our receipts my charges were 272.00 and the room I paid for besides mine was because another person did not have a company card yet. Well it was charged 340.00 the owner of this hotel must be a real piece of you know what gouging us like that. When I called the lady said oh I thought it was 250.00 we negotiated. Look I was born at night but not last night. The rooms were not great for a newer hotel. The air conditioner sounded like a race car. The bathrooms that my co workers had were dirty. They had two small fridges for snacks in the main area one empty the other had 1 shelf with water. You would think if your going to gouge the shit out of your guest you would at least have a half way decent snack area. Really do yourself a favor stay just outside of town at the casino. It's only 5 minutes away and you can easily get food. If I could give it zero stars I would. I sleep in Hiltons or Holiday inns at least 150 to 180 nights a year. This is by far the worst holiday in I have ever stayed in and I have been doing this kind of work for ten years. read more

Coming from New Mexico and tried enough to want to spend the night in a nice place. We picked The Holiday Inn Express, not only because it's a nice location from the Highway, but because Hubby is an IGH member and always likes staying at one of their facilities. Too bad that was not the case for this one. Although the front desk gentleman was very pleasant and worked with us, even though they had had a flooding of the ground floor and didn't have any King size beds available, we got a double Queen at a reasonable rate. Got up to the room and first thing my hubby saw was a "sock" that didn't belong to us, but we sat down on one of the beds and look over to the under edge of the other bed and some kind of rag, tissue whatever was wadded up still laying there! Was it a snot rag, a cum rag?Ohhh hell no, no way, how dirty, really is this room? We grabbed our bags and told the front desk we were leaving he said he completely understood and would refund the room. Well of course that didn't happen after we wait the amount of time he said it would take. Had to call corporate after trying to talk to Tiari Gaul the General Manger, several times. Was told she would call us, that still has not happened and hubby had to dispute the charge through his Bank! Don't give them any money until you have checked the room out, or just don't stay there and save yourself some trouble. Also do not try the Travelodge at the other end of town. It was an unpleasant stay here. Shift manager kindly welcomed us and noted the jacuzzi was inoperable (not a deal breaker) as was an ice machine (of the three floors only one had a working ice machine) and the customary guest snack pantry was closed. The hotel is next to a Dollar Store so we were ok on snacks. The Hallway carpet was littered & dirty, our room was dusty and needed to be vacuumed- but there was trash on the floor next to the desk that was too large for a vacuum to pick up. The bed linens were actually fresh; the bed was too hard to be comfortable. Between bed hardness and a loud sound coming through the wall a/c unit (like plastic rubbing on the wall- all night long) we both slept poorly. The bathroom seemed clean but the lights on each side of the mirror had a purple hue and were dim. The hot breakfast this morning was welcome but the omelette was still frozen in the middle. This hotel doesn't seem to be that old but is clearly neglected. The room price is way, way too high for the guest value received. I read the reviews here indicating the problems others experienced but was skeptical. Unfortunately, they were real. read more

I had a room booked for February 26 via my job. I travel to Globe frequently and all of our employees have stayed here. If you have been to Globe you know it is literally only one of a few hotels to stay there. Upon arrival at check in, a young African American Male stated that there was a glitch with the booking system and the hotel had accidently overbooked itself by 45 people. SO, I was told I had no room. He apologized, but there was nothing he could do. I was not happy, and all of the other hotels were full. I drove 2+ hours to another decent hotel and stayed the night. Fast forward a MONTH ahead and the Holiday Inn had charged my corporate credit card for staying the night $154.09 (even though THEY turned me away and I wasn't able to stay!!) I contacted the front office of the hotel, and was told they would refund the money on my corporate credit card. Fast forward ANOTHER 30 days, the hotel OWNERS are saying that their records show 4 empty rooms that night, so they will NOT refund me. I was turned away....yet they charged me. Unacceptable. I was traveling for WORK. This was their error, yet they charged/stole $154.09. I am currently working with my travel department to ban this hotel as an approved hotel for our corporate travel employees. read more

Don't let the outside for you the inside is filthy. If there was anywhere else to stay up here tonight I would. The first person to meet me walk in the door apparently you are inconveniencing them by having them do your job and check you into the room. Not real friendly. After they check you in they tell you the elevator is broke and you need to use the stairs. The hallways and carpet throughout the hotel are filthy I'm not sure if this hotel has a vacuum cleaner let alone a carpet cleaner. As going to the room there is a dead bug on the wall right by the door. When you get into the room there's multiple carpet stains the bathroom is filthy the sink is dirty tubs dirty the toilet is dirty. Not real sure if the beds are even clean I will be using my own sleeping bag. The good thing is Dollar General is not that far away so you can get Lysol to disinfect a room yourself because I don't think the maid has a good understanding of her job. read more

Yeah, three stars. Comfortable enough bed and service not too bad at all, but. . . 1. Sink was stopped up, and there was standing water in there all the time we were in the room. 2. I'm always up for complementary breakfast, but they cut every corner on this stuff. Meats were injected with salt water that dripped out and left and puddle on the plate. The eggs consisted of a tasteless prefab patty of egg folded over a slab of extra salty cheese. Pancake machine broken, but endless carbs available (cereal and toast). For such a new hotel, I would have expected a little more. Prices were not exorbitant, but were by no means cheap. Nothing special. I might stay here again, but I'll carb out at breakfast. read more

I told them at we are work at the jail down the street. 2. No hot water in the morning, i still for eight days no hot water still. 3. The elevator was not working all eight day that I was there, My room was on the third floor. 4. The hotel advertise free breakfast, that was a lie, no breakfast at all. 5. My team and I were going to book another week but hell no, we went cross the street. yes hot water, free breakfast and at the government rate. Elevator broken, stairwell smelled foul, hallway filthy, room wasn't cleaned properly and also stunk. I asked for a 1st floor room, unavailable. Held breath carrying luggage up the stairs. Read the other reviews... looks like the elevator's been an issue since it opened as has the cleanliness. Bed was hard as a rock. Wife didn't feel safe. We didn't want to take off our shoes, slept in our clothes on top of the covers. Roadside motels will save you some money and may even be cleaner/functional. I'm an IHG Gold Elite member (lots of time and money spent with this brand), but my disappointment with how they've handled my issues with this hotel has caused me to write this review and switch brands. There are plenty of other reviews that echo the same sentiments going back over a year and nothing seems to have improved. Steer clear of this place. read more

Asked at checkin if the Hot tub was working... nope. Heating element, down for the count. STRIKE ONE Internet so slow at 9:00 pm it's unusable. This is a hard review to write - customer service was exceptional and the accommodations were wonderful. The evening front desk worker was very welcoming and kind. The room and bathroom were very clean and neat. However, our lesson is that when we stay in a hotel again, we'll be requesting the top floor. I think the walls and floor here were made of paper. We could hear everything going on around us, that that was no fun! The TV also didn't work, but again, the customer service around that issue was good. We just gave up trying to get it to work - hopefully maintenance will take a look and fix it for the next guests. So, while a very nice hotel, it was waaaaaaay too loud for us. read more

Well how nice to find this new hotel. So fresh, clean, barely broken in. Yep it costs a few more bucks a night than the other cheap motels. Man is it worth it. So what do I like about this well get ready! Big comfy overstuffed chair in the room to relax, lots of plugs for computers phones and cameras, plugs by the nightstand in the lamp, USB plugs by the desk, fluffy big towels, very very clean, cool door keys, a selection of yogurts at breakfast, a selection of bagel types, lots of fruit, nice juice, large breakfast area, a free newspaper, a quiet refrigerator, a microwave, tea in the room, solid core doors, quiet ac, cold ac, nice ergonomic desk chair, friendly engaging staff, clean grounds, cool tile, great shower head, cool shower curtain, cfl lighting, easy parking, shaded unloading area, a smooth cart for unloading and a few other things I may have over looked. When in Globe, this is the place for me. read more

Fan never stops blowing even when room reaches correct temperature. Asked for an upstairs,back,quiet room: shared the wall with ice maker, soda machine and elevator! Bloody snot on wall! I really enjoyed my stay! The hotel is very clean, all staff members were very sweet and attentive to guests needs. It smelled very good in there, the pool and jacuzzi was very clean. I drove straight through the night from California to Arizona with my children to ensure we got there in time for the funeral we had to attend, the staff made sure our room was available for us at whatever time we arrived regardless of their check in policy, it was a tough time for my family so that helped relieve a lot of stress. We will stay with them again, it had all the comforts of home! This is a new hotel so I'm hoping nothing changes as the years pass. Big thanks to all the staff members, your hard work is appreciated and is recognized. Breakfast is good but begals were hard and there was no bacon, I still love this place, they offered Activia yogurt which I loved "keep that on hand, please, I noticed the next day you were out". Instead of hard boiled eggs, scrambled would be nice, just making suggestions in case the hotel wonders how guest felt about breakfast. The room was clean. Beds were fine. Overall the place is understaffed it seems. We came down for breakfast: most of the food was gone, no knives for butter or cream cheese, sausage patties were grey hockey pucks. We asked if more food was coming and were told yes. Then it came out about 15 minutes later. Not great chow. Overall, hotel was fine, breakfast was pretty sad. They also had a sign at the front counter that said "dial 0 for assistance", I dialed 0 and there was someone on the other end but the connection was bad so I couldn't check out. First, the positive, this is a nice hotel, it is well cared for and appears very new. Some history, we, four of us, checked in last night for two nights, we did not have reservations, and we checked in about 1:15am. We needed 3 rooms, one handicapped an 2 others. The front desk clerk was a champ but was unfamiliar with the intricacies of the computer system for placing all three rooms under one name and completing the process, at the end of the check in, I believe that one room was complete and the other two would be completed when her manager came in later in the morning. I would return later in the day and complete the process. During the process the clerk cleared two of the rooms (handicap and regular for occupancy). I remained to complete the process, probably until 2am, when the front desk clerk realized that the computer system was not cooperating with her and said she would complete it once her manager came in, she had the credit card information and everything, just needed to add the two rooms to the same account.. I climbed into bed about 2:45am. Now the negative: at 6:40am the phone rang, it was the front desk, the rooms were completed and I could come down when I liked. Then again at 7:30am the phone rings again, it was the front desk again, the manager was informed on the problems that occurred during check in and I could come down when I was ready. Needless to say: I was woken with less than 4 hours sleep at 6:40am and was just starting to fall back asleep at 7:30am. I went down to the front desk about 7:45am to complete the check in. At the front desk, the young woman greeted me pleasantly and asked how she could help. I said my name and room, and she realized why I was there. I stated that I did not appreciate being woke up where she responded, "I don't appreciate having rooms unpaid for, do you have your credit card" I gave her the credit card and we completed the transaction. After which I returned to the room and wrote this review. The problem was with the morning clerk responding in a rude manor and the two wake up calls, the major purpose of the hotel is to sleep. I am awake now and frankly useless for the day because of lack of sleep. I am not going to rate the hotel, it appeared attractive and well cared for. I slept well for what little sleep I got. The night clerk was a champion and when the issue with the computer exceeded her ability to fix she was honest and let me know that we could fix everything later once her manager came in. The issue was with the phone calls announcing I could come down when I liked - clearly an effort to make "...when I liked..." to be come down now; and the day clerk, being rude. This is a service industry and a much more appropriate response would have been, "I'm sorry to wake you, let's complete the check in process". I stayed there for 2 1/2 months. During that time I had multiple problems. My room was seldom cleaned properly, rings around the tub made by the previous occupant, no dusting, linens were seldom washed, door key-failed constantly, breakfast was inconsistent, hot tub was broken for weeks-still is as for as I know, internet is abysmal-don't even bother. The GM Sheryl is out of touch with this property, and doesn't respond to complaints from her guests. I finally moved out after a new $115.00 bottle of cologne was stolen off my vanity. I was promised payment for this, but that never happened. Sheryl refuses to return my calls and avoids me, I'm done with this Holiday Inn. Note, I've spoken to others that have had things stolen from their room, we got to where we cut back on having our rooms cleaned in fear of theft by housekeeping. One gentlemen reported bedbugs. I've moved out as of 04/05/2017, several others have fallen suit. We've relocated to Best Western in Globe, a way better place by far. read more
