The apartment itself was great. They are old, but that means that they are built very well, and they have all been remodeled on the inside. The walls are very thick so you can't hear anything. Also, being on the top floor, the heat from the other units would rise, so my utilities were extremely cheap all year long. The carpets are either replaced or cleaned before every renter, so moving in is a great experience. There was only one management change in 2 years and it was a great change. When the new property manager, Melanie, came in, she totally changed the feel of the entire complex. She started by cleaning the look of the entire place by having any chairs in walkways removed and everyone's blinds fixed so the appearance is much nicer, and uniform. The pool was repainted, the entrance landscaping was redone, there was a dog park added, and there is even a workout room! All of these things were bonuses the management added to make it a better place to live. Did rent go up because of the improvements? Yes, for new renters, the rate was increased because it was WAY to cheap. The new rates are a great value for the amount of space that you get, and higher rents brings in better tenants. If there were tenants that didn't pay their rent...they were evicted so new renters could come in. Those were the ones that caused problems anyways. I'm sure there were problems with over 100 apartments on site, but they were either not around my apartment, or the management handled them so that they did not affect me at all...in 2 years, so that's pretty impressive. The maintenance staff is also fantastic. They have a dedicated phone number for 24 hour access for emergencies, and almost every work order that I submitted was completed the next day. The maintenance staff is extremely friendly, they are clean, nice guys and they do great work. They really take pride in fixing the issues and realize that they aren't just fixing "an apartment", they are fixing your actual home. Overall, Pointe Breeze was a great experience. The views are fantastic, and the staff is working on making the entire apartment community better and better. I would definitely recommend it. No attention to when things go wrong. Waited for things to be right since I got here. First few months my kitchen sink fell in, took months to get fixed. Ac has gone out a handful of times even after being "fixed". I've had a raccoon living in my walls that I was told was "caught", then died and my whole apartment smelled like dead animal. They have been doing construction and carelessly leaving nails around the roads, causing my tire to get a nail in it having to buy a new tire. Living here is miserable, run while you can! Lots of homeless animals as well running around.

My wife and I moved into these apartments about a little over a month ago. We have loved every…read moreminute at Preston Run. The apartments themselves are spacious and luxurious. Just look at the pictures they provide! No special lighting or trick angles like some complexes use, which is what we thought at first. Once we took a tour, we were convinced that these apartments were the right ones for us. Wil did an excellent job giving the tour. The property grounds are regularly maintained and a beautiful. Parking has never been an issue, which is rare in most apartments. Even with hundreds of people living within the gated property, there are always spots open no matter what time of day. It's nice to come home and be able to park right outside your apartment. The onsite gym has most anything you could need to get a complete, heavy workout. The fenced dog park has so much space for our dogs to run around; they certainly don't have any complaints. These are all things you can see in a tour. The thing that stands out to me the most is just how great the staff treats people. Once you live here, you'll see it every day. Both Wil and Sylvie have been nothing but genuinely friendly and professional. We are always greeted with a smile by them whether we're in the club house office or out walking our dogs. They have treated us kindly from the first tour and continue to do so to this day. The response time and turnaround to repair any issue is quick. It's great to know that good help is just a call or email away. We especially like the fact that they both live at Preston Run. That says something about how special this place is. It also shows how and why they are so passionate about keeping the place running smoothly, because this in their home, too. I can't say enough good things about this place. I hope this review offers a glimpse of what we get to experience every day at our amazing new place. We love it here!

They are just as expensive as new build apartments next door but yet 20 years old. Our A/C was out for several days and management was too cheap to bring in outside A/C company, so instead incompetent maintenance proceeded to make matters worse, fill our apartment with smoke, run up our energy bill by $100+ and refuse to compensate us for our trouble. They finally got A/C company out there and it was fixed within 20 mins. Before, our apartment was 89 degrees while I have medical issues! When we move out, my partner requested a walk through multiple times. Management said that we didn't need a walkthrough because our apartment is spotless (I clean daily) and they weren't going to charge us for anything. Come to find out they charged over $100+ for bathroom and kitchen cleaning despite our apartment being "spotless!" It was only when I called and threatened to sue based on breach of lease (they are required to do a walkthrough in order to charge for damages) that they agreed to have me come back and "reclean" and they wouldn't charge us! I'm sure they will comment on here that all the issues above were all my fault, and they did what they were supposed to do based on lease agreement blah blah blah, but that's fine! I know in my heart that I was an amazing tenant, quiet and clean, and management here are crooks! Avoid this place and rent next door.

The elevator is a great addition given I'm an old lady! I like that you need a key fob to get into the building so it's pretty darn secure. The front door of the main building is open during business hours but keyfob needed after hours and on weekends. My apartment is comfortable and provides all that I need. I really feel at home here. As of right now, I plan to stay here for the remainder of my life! WooHoo!

Also love that the gym, mail and office are all inside the building. During the recent snow/ice storms I never had to interrupt my routine due to weather. I love the central location. I can walk to the store, post office, my chiropractor, dentist and a wide variety of eateries. Plenty of hotels for out of town visitors also within walking distance. I've lived in apartments pretty much my whole life and I must say that the office and maintenance personnel are top notch! Friendly, responsive and professional every one of them. They never make me feel like I'm a bother and quickly resolve everything. We're all extremely happy with this community.

We were interrupted 3 times before ever being able to get out the door to view a unit. She didn't show me any of the amenities or explain community events, extra fees, etc bx of nonstop interruptions. Sadly, I felt rushed, confused & unclear about all of it in comparison to other apt tours I've taken. The leasing agent, her office & the apt she showed me was cute, that's all I know.

Very unprofessional property manager, Nikki who lied about available apartments and floor plans and has consistently been reluctant to do her job, very rude to my boyfriend and I, also pretty sure she hung up on me when I called about missed trash pick up. The valet trash is more than likely the most incompetent I have ever seen, leaving trash on the stairs because they forgot to complete the job. Also, lots of noisy neighbors party till 3am and courtesy patrol is non existent. The experience is more so like section 8 customer service so do not fall for the smoke and mirrors. I need the regional manager's information please and thank you!
