The scenery was gorgeous, and the sky sprinkled with rain, making the ride exciting. Attached is a picture of me on the rented scooter, which does not do justice. I had to slow down for the camera lol. Anyway, I encourage any of you to rent those e-scooters they have around the area and try riding at full speed for that "adrenaline rush." Also, the the cafe that is on the premises is extremely good, the food is amazing, the staff is friendly and the beer is cold! The other slip holders that I have engaged with have been very friendly and the premises is clean. Last, the price of my slip is very reasonable and lower than many of the other marinas! Facilities are decent, the staff is caring, and the rates are affordable. If you are looking for a posh place to keep your boat, or a better location, you'll go elsewhere and that is fine. But Yacht Haven is an honest, friendly, family run place that I can always count on to be there. Sure, there are nicer places. There are cheaper places. There are places in better locations. I just find Yacht Haven to be a good mix of enough details to keep me coming back.

Trying to save a spot before the mad rush with people. Summers afternoon all day on the beach frolicking around enjoy the water. When you're young, you don't care what the water was like. The hours of bike rides along the path from the pier to the marina, shoreline village and back to Belmont shores. This place is one of those that just makes you smile reminding you of your childhood. I still come down whenever I'm in town to have a walk along the waterfront. Checking out the boats all lines up in the docks. The view of the Queen Mary docked permanently along the water. People watching and of course the sunsets. It's a place for all that and then some. It's a local hotspot for bike rides, exercise, and dates. Also a hotspot for the tourist enjoying Long Beach. A nostalgic experience each and every time. A nice place for just doing nothing.

Shoreline Village has so many restaurants to enjoy, nearby mall, Farris wheel, a wonderful aquarium, and so much more. Restrooms are clean, and trash bins could be emptied more often since this marina is run by the city. Maybe less homeless would pick through it. We won't be returning due to the garbage in the SEA, which can get caught in a boat prop; then who's responsible? We were very disappointed there isn't a service boat that cleans it up for boat residents and tourists, an embarrassment for the city of Long Beach, I'd say.

I needed to change my dripless while the boat was going to be out for bottom paint. I was told that I had two options. 1. Paying something like $500 to come in on the weekend or have their mechanic do the work at $160/hr +-. Either way it was a lose/lose situation. I really miss being down in San Diego.

They have removed many of the old liveaboards.. this alone made the environment less hostile. I have to say.. Its cleaner and the son has added many nice amenity features like a BBQ picnic area with benches umbrellas and comfortable seating. New manager seems like he is trying to keep the place in order. Caught the marina people(Greg's cronies) stealing fuel from my yacht…read more Harbormaster Greg Put a bogus lein on my yacht and said I didn't pay for 3 months, when i asked for the history of payments received Greg gave me a printout that had huge mathematical errors and the 3 months he said I didn't pay, I didn't even have this yacht during the time he said I didn't pay. Dock is very dangerous, nails are always sticking out and the docks are falling apart, completely unacceptable this is such a hazardous danger. Marina and the people running the marina are disgusting trash, they are rude and disrespectful. If you ask them to nail the dock back together so I don't fall in the water stepping onto the swim platform from the dock. Or when the electricity acts up and pops the breakers in the boat because the marinas breaker is melting due to whatever power issue the marina has they rudly answe with a "yep we'll look into that"and never does, 3 shore power cables later finally they replaced the breaker
