I have had several procedures/extensive dental work done with Dr. Midkiff and each time I have felt extremely comfortable throughout the procedure and was very happy with the results. I have visited other dentists in the past where I felt like they just wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible, even if that meant I had to go through an extremely uncomfortable 30min to an hour...safe to say I was pleasantly surprised at the level of attention to comfort and results at Dr. Midkiffs office! Last year I had my gums trimmed/reduced and it was almost completely painless! I just recently went to the office for a cleaning and ended up getting the whitening kit as well....THIS STUFF IS GOOD! My teeth were about 2 shades whiter half way through the process. I look forward to continuing my dental care with their help. PS: I LOVE that they have text and email reminders/confirmations several times before your appointment...for a busy girl like me...who sometimes does not even have time to make a phone call...this is a GREAT tool.

A few days later, I started to have serious pain and when it got too much to bear I called the office and asked for an emergency appt. They got me in on a Monday morning and I had the tooth extracted. Other dental offices i called didn't want to have anything to do with me on an emergency basis or they weren't taking new patients. (I think Lynchburg needs more dentists.) The doctor and his staff were very pleasant and the whole process was painless. The office is clean comfortable and orderly.

I had just had x-rays done 3 months prior and was wondering why this dentist could not contact my previous dentist for that information or my previous dental history. They did not even ask or make mention. Instead, they recommended Invisalign for $6000.00. This has never mentioned in any of my past dental appointments. Just did not really like the business practice here. I cancelled my future appointment and will not be going back. Very poor experience. I don't recommend Lynchburg Dental Group.

I am newly married, and my husband recommended Libbey Family Dentistry. First visit was xrays- great experience and no pain or anxiety. Second visit was a cleaning and removal of a broken crown. My anxiety was off the charts as I entered the door...the girl who cleaned my teeth was so sweet and gentle, that I barely felt anything except her kind words...but the thought of the crown removal drove me into a panic attack and I could not allow Dr. Libbey to proceed...she sooo very kindly said it was OK and I could return next time and try again. Third visit was my second attempt at the crown and she allowed me to take my prescription of xanax before we began. It was awesome-no pain...no anxiety. She was always so kind and concerned about me each visit. Today was my final visit for the crown- I no longer needed medication, because I was anxiety free for the FIRST time visiting a dentist EVER! I had such confidence in the fact that she would not hurt me, and she didn't! I even had some old fillings replaced with no pain or stress. This is a miracle for me. For these reasons, I highly recommend Dr. Libbey for anyone who has anxiety or fear of dentists. This experience was a life changer for me, and it can be the same for you.

When I called to see about getting appointment for my husband and myself, the office staff was alert to our needs and understood the need for an appointment sooner rather than later. We got an appointment within the time we were due and there was no long delay in getting us seen. The front office person was great! She was friendly and able to answer all my insurance questions and explained their billing procedures. She spent all the time needed to make sure my questions were answered. She is very knowlegable and exuded confidence. Dr. Sorenson was very pleasant and has a gentle touch. While going to the dentist, even for routine care, has never been the highlight of my day, I felt comfortable at his office, and was not nervous at all. I really appreciated the fact that Dr. Sorenson had reviewed our dental records from our previous dentist, which made me feel like he had taken a vested interest in our dental health and well-being. The procedure took 22 minutes (about an hour total time from waiting to payment) and healed nicely. They do require full payment at the time of the procedure which may not work for some patients.

Unfortunately, he was laid off suddenly, of no fault of his own, and not only did we lose our insurance, but all our income. Both of us have been hunting for jobs restlessly for two months with no luck, besides side work. We owe this dental office $52 and they have HOUNDED us for it, with NO care for our situation. On top of this, they few times we visited they pushed services on us that we would have to pay for outside of our insurance. They have shown their core value to be greed. We won't ever be back.

First, I didn't think I would have to write a bad review about Thomson Drive Dental front office…read morestaff (Amber), or Dr. Aniqa Zaheer, but I feel compelled to inform other patients of their dishonesty, and the way patients are treated once a procedure fails, or you have questions about your bill. I have been going to Thomson Drive Dental for over 1 year, but recently I received two crowns that I paid a substantial amount for (overcharged), 1 crown didn't last 3 months, not only did one crown break, but the tooth under the crown broke, and needs to be surgically removed. These crowns in questioned had been removed before because the Office ordered the wrong shade, but cemented the crowns anyway without me viewing first, but any person could clearly see the shade did not match my other teeth. After all the wrestling/jerking by Dr. Zaheer trying to remove the first crowns, and putting temporary crowns back on that didn't stay, I believe that damaged the teeth more. Now, here's the problem, when I asked about the refund for the Crown that broke, I was told first, I would not receive any refund for the crown, but they would surgically remove the broken tooth for free. Next, Amber told me I would receive a full refund for crown, and any fees related to crown, NOW THAT HAS CHANGED, they want to only refund me a portion of what I paid. They should remove the tooth for free due to their negligence, and a crown is supposed to last 7 years or more according to THIS OFFICE. I signed a Release Form for my dental records be sent to another dentist on June 1 for a second opinion, they emailed very limited information, and added some untrue information. I have also requested my dental records, and billing information so I can view myself, as of date I still have not received. I can't believe the unjust treatment that I'm NOW receiving because of my asking for a full refund and questioning their billing practices. If you are a patient of this Office (or have been a patient), please don't be quick to get what's being recommended by Dr. Zaheer, if you know in your heart you don't need those services. PLEASE check to see how much you are being charged compared to how much you should be paying according to your Insurance Company. Again, I never had a problem with Dr. Zaheer, or the Office Staff (Amber-very rude) until I asked for full refund for broken crown, and the tooth that needs to be surgically removed. IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO THE OFFICE, AND HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT TREATMENT PLAN, OR THE BILLS YOU HAVE RECEIVED, PLEASE SPEAK UP!

Thomson Drive Dental was referred to me and when I called yesterday afternoon they got me in today. Now that is service. The front desk staff was great and the x-ray tech/dental aid was great also. The dentist did a great job calming me down and gave me several options. We settled on a cap for the tooth at this point saving the tooth. This may well be the beginning of a new relationship.
