Review for Attorney David Scott Dildy:…read more On December 17th, 2025, in court room 5B, at 0900, both parties were waiting in their respective places in the court room, with the bailiff present. The judge had not yet come into the court room. Mr. Dildy and the GAL (***) were talking across the room to each other about traveling to France and speaking French. Mr. Dildy said out loud, across the court room (Ms. *** was seated in the jury box), "Do you know why the French plant trees on both sides of the road"? Everyone in the room stopped and looked at Mr. Dildy. He proceeded to say, "so the Germans can march in the shade". Attorney *** and Dildy exchanged laughter at the punch line of the statement. This comment is extremely offensive to us since we are of German heritage. My family immigrated from Germany right before the war- I have an uncle who was made to fight for the Americans against his own family in Germany. He came back to the US after the war to commit suicide over the atrocities of war. Our ties to our German Heritage and Jewish family and friends will never find this type of oppressive language acceptable and for the court to allow an officer of the court to do so is NOT ACCEPTABLE. The loss of millions of lives is NOTHING to laugh about. There is absolutely NO humor in the loss of millions of lives. Our last name is an obvious German name. Why is this acceptable? Do you have an anti-Semitic officer of the court? Mr. David Dildy needs to be held accountable for his actions and the commonwealth of Virginia needs to ensure he attend and have documented unconscious bias counseling. I could not speak against this inappropriate language as I felt it would harm our son and generate repercussions against his case. There were multiple witnesses to the exchange. I'm sure the cameras in the court room recorded the exchange as well. We did not feel safe in that court room. If this officer of the court has this bias, is the rest of the Norfolk Va, judicial system like this? Our liberty was taken from us- we didn't feel free to speak against such inappropriate language. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY!

Because of her skill, I can finally exhale, knowing that I have a healthy situation for my child and financial security that I didn't think was achievable. She always put me at ease when we talked, even when I felt like things were really tough. Her assistant was also amazing and so caring. I would recommend this firm to anyone looking for great and caring representation.

I'm not sure how to start this review. There is nothing I can write that would convey how impressed…read moreI am with Ms. Sherwood. While living in Richmond, I had a well known lawyer as representation for my divorce. It cost $$$$ and I never really understood what was happening. Recently my ex took me back to court. Since I now live in Yorktown, I started looking around for an attorney in the area that would represent me in Richmond. I wanted somebody that wouldn't fall for my ex's charm and manipulation, somebody tough but not aggressive in the courtroom, preferred someone that was a parent ( since children were involved), and a lawyer that would always tell me my options, good & bad! I received Ms. Sherwood's name from an acquaintance and called her. She responded quickly and advised me on several points before I even agreed to hire her. That's right! Free legal advice - yes, it was on small items but still impressive! Do NOT be nervous when you pull up at her office that first time. I was accustomed to the $$$$ Richmond lawyer's luxury office so her office wasn't what I expected. It is modest & neat but not fancy. Do NOT let the decor make you hesitate! I walked in....had a little trouble figuring out where in the building she was located and was greeted by her assistant. Ms. Sherwood saw me at our scheduled time & I will NEVER go to another lawyer again. There were several obstacles & slick maneuvers by my ex but Ms. Sherwood kept me strong. My case was very subjective & I felt like Ms. Sherwood was able to take my information and really plead my case in a professional & persuasive manner. I felt truly heard - for the first time! Whether we won or lost, Ms. Sherwood has earned my endless appreciation & loyalty. She is a remarkable person & a very savvy & intelligent attorney. Put your mind at ease & call her! It took me 5 years to find THE BEST attorney and I'm leaving this review so you won't have to suffer like I did. AND her fees are VERY reasonable! Yes, we won!

There were several moments throughout my case when I felt that my situation was hopeless. There were setbacks, pitfalls, and disappointing developments that left my family and I feeling that every door was closing around us. But Noah was everything I needed him to be. He was intelligent, kind, clever, logical, and so much more. He knows what his client needs, and he provides that. What I needed was a friend to have my back. Every time I began to cry in his office, Noah was there with a plan, a tissue, and a friendly word to support me. Noah saved my life with the results he obtained. I will be thankful to him for the rest of my life. Now, I cannot leave this review without mentioning his paralegal, Cynthia. Cynthia is your ultimate resource when it comes to your case. The legal process can be long and exhausting. Along the way, Cynthia acts as a constant calming presence and confidante. Cynthia unwaveringly stands by the client and provides encouragement, knowledge, and support. She is the heartbeat behind your case. If you want representation that cares, you want Weisberg and Weisberg. The best thing that my family did in my case, was to find Noah Weisberg.

Mary Commander and her entire legal team are what you need on your side for any family law matter…read more Hands down, Mary Commander knows the Virginia family law, and practices civility and integrity from start to finish. Mary is tougher than nails and handles any high-conflict and nasty opposing counsel with ease. Mary is reasonable and the entire legal team will have you and your children's best interest as a priority. Regardless, if you have mediation or need to go to court or trial, Mary is a strong litigator and will have your back. From the beginning, Emily (Mary's receptionist) was prompt, patient with my numerous emails, and very responsive. Most of all, when things seemed bleak and overwhelming, Emily was considerate, patient, and kind with every one of my visits to their office. My first visit with Mary was a preemptive and strategic move as my ex had not filed a motion with the local court yet. Mary did not want to take a retainer fee unless needed. This was different than the 7 other attorneys I'd met with in the local area. Mary is 100% the epitome of integrity and is up front with you about your case and will NEVER charge you unnecessarily. For any other reviews that dislike what Mary might say, it is only because she will be honest and never sugarcoat any situation. This is what you need in an attorney and a legal team. Good or bad, you need an attorney and team that won't run up the bill or be fake with you. A little bit after I met with Mary, the ex eventually filed numerous motions. I had approximately 60+ pages worth of discovery and questions to respond to. As chaotic as it might seem, Abby(Mary's paralegal) made sure the process was seamless. Abby's prompt communication and "hand-holding" made the prep for the court hearing much easier. In fact, Abby had even more experience and knowledge than my ex's own attorney! The entire team kept me in the loop and made sure all my questions and concerns were promptly addressed even with Mary's schedule. Mary is the attorney you need. Granted you never know what a judge might say or decide, but the team at Commander Law will do everything they can to ensure your things go in your favor. There is nothing more reassuring and uplifting than seeing Mary in action in a courtroom. It's a great feeling when Mary and her team are fully prepared and state your case eloquently while opposing counsel continue to stumble in their responses to the points Mary brings up. I know that my ex will continue ongoing/future frivolous litigation, but as long as I have Mary on my side, I know it will be okay!

Today I served for jury duty and I saw Ms. Commander in the circuit court building. We road the elevator together. Funny she doesn't even recognize her own clients. I own my property and she allowed my ex to get 50,000 while he never contributed to the welfare of he home, he is not even own he deed. I paid 9,000 estimated to her and still paying! She did not recognize me because she had no intentions of helping me. Could it be that I am African -American? She never sit down and tried to understand , heck, I never meet her! I felt bullied and cheated. Please see the red flags! I had a lawyer who did not care, and could give a hen's egg about my child or us having a home to live in. My ex was abusive, narcissistic and down right hateful. Please pick a lawyer who gives a dam!
