Shave Ice is one of my favorite things to eat in the summer. Having lived in Hawaii, I am a shave…read moreice snob. There are many elements that make a shave ice beyond amazing and I have a checklist to see if a shave ice place meets my requirements. The Daily Shave Ice did not disappoint! The first item I look for is flavor. The Daily Shave Ice has a variety of flavors, including sugar free. They have the classic flavors (tigers blood) to the tropical flavors (mango) that I always order on my shave ice. Bonus points if they offer additional items to add to it, like ice cream on the bottom and condensed milk on top. The Daily Shave offers both and I absolutely recommend it. Together, it totally elevates the shave ice. The second item is the quality of ice. This ice was very smooth and snow like. The softer the ice, the better it is. What I wasn't expecting was the size. They really pack on the ice! I ordered a small and it was massive. It was a fun surprise when I picked it up at the window. Overall, this place knows how to make a shave ice. The ice is soft, the flavors are awesome and the size is huge. A great treat on a summer day.

The day I was finally able to go get some I was first in line and I placed my order and it was made very quickly and I was surprised by the massive size of it because I ordered a small shaved ice, I tell ya it was delicious, refreshing and I couldn't eat it fast enough because it was sooooooo delicious. If you ever get the chance look for them on facebook as they always post where they'll be located throughout summer. They also will come to your event, just give them a call. You will not be disappointed

It's a small little place that shares an entrance with a restaurant. They do have a handful of tables available to eat in, or they do take out as well. They have Hispanic music videos playing on a tv and the music coming through the speakers. The people working there were so kind and helpful. They helped us completely customize our desserts, and made us white girls feel completely welcome and not out of place at all. It was a fun, bright, inviting place! They have a wide variety of sweet and savory snacks, that all look addictively delicious. We were specifically looking for dessert and were tempted by SO many tasty options. We all decided on a variation of an ice cream filled concha. Is this a common Hispanic thing? I have never seen it before, not even on my trips to Mexico, but it is GENIUS!!! Concha's, if you don't know, are kind of like a Mexican donut/pastry. It's essentially a non sweet roll with chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla icing in the design of a shell on top. It's a perfect balance of sweet and savory. So imagine that tasty roll filled with ice cream, Nutella, and fruit! Mind blown right?! The concha had chocolate icing, I chose marzipan ice cream (it's not a Scandinavian almond marzipan, but a Hispanic peanut marzipan that's similar to a candy), Nutella, and strawberries on top. The portions were huge and with tax it only cost $7. Listen, I live in Draper and would GLADLY travel to Ogden to get this again! And as much as I'm obsessed with the ice cream concha, I also REALLY want to try some of the savory snacks too! So maybe I'll do a savory snack followed by a sweet snack next time. Anyway, it's a little hole in the wall that is COMPLETELY worth trying!!!! You need ice cream concha's in your life, trust me!
