This is a quaint restaurant with a fun vibe and lots of people meeting up to eat and enjoy. Service was friendly and timed our meal perfectly. The amazing meal started with shrimp and a passion fruit reduction that was both tangy and sweet. The entrees were a seafood type soup that included chicken and sausage and arrived at the table "smoking" hot in a cool bowl. Also had the crab pasta which was so delicious and had tons of crab. Really enjoyed our meal and the restaurant. $$

There is no English menu, but the staff tried their best to help. We ordered a quinoa salad and the short rib entree. It was happy hour, so we also said why not to a $3 pisco sour. Everything we intended to order was great and the staff was super friendly. Great place overall for super cheap happy hour drinks and dinner.

He said the sandwiches would be huge- he was not kidding! The menu is a little overwhelming as there are pages upon pages of options! I ordered the Chacarero and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich had beef, tomato, and green beans. I could only eat half the sandwich and couldn't even pick it up as it was so big! You can definitely share one sandwich between two people, as it wasn't as good for leftovers. The sandwich was delicious, however, the hot sauce on the table was necessary. We went at lunch time on a Sunday and didn't have a problem securing a table.

I love garlic and I especially love garlic in my Italian food so whenever I pass by their restaurant my mouth instantly starts to water. Until finally, I stopped in route and went in for an early dinner. When you walk in, you feel like you have entered someone's home; warm, cozy and welcoming. The owners are very friendly and, depending on if there is space, can seat yourself right away (the restaurant is small so I would recommend calling ahead of time to make a reservation). They have a daily menu that changes but always includes a starter, main dish and a dessert for $8.500 + delicious pan amasado and yum-azing pebre. The portions are also pretty large, so you will definitely leave with a happy belly. They are also open for lunch and definitely recommend coming to take advantage of their specials. Although their presentation is a bit lacking, it makes up for it in taste. They use fresh ingredients with quality you can taste (ah that sounds just like a commercial but it's true!). They use a great quality olive in the dishes they prepare as well as garlic (not in all of the dishes but mmm its in their pesto for example, a must try when there). The only negative is that despite the friendliness of the owners and staff, the service is a bit slow.

My Spanish is really not very good, so it was a little cumbersome ordering, and I had to profusely apologize to the staff for my inability to really express myself clearly. But, I got their veggie dog "gigante", which is really a long hot dog bun, filled with "carne de soya" in sort of a loose meat style, then topped with all the goodies, and they have tons of them. I sat there with my hot dog, and inhaled it. Thinking about it, now, and only a few days from leaving Santiago, I think I may need to go back before I depart. Sweet and patient staff, a out of this world "veggie dog" with whatever you want on it, I couldn't have been happier. :-)
