Like their slogan, "Just burgers and beer", Uncle Fletch does both burgers and beer extraordinarily well. I ate the most delicious vegetarian "burger" I have ever had here! To be honest, I have become accustomed to being disappointed when going out to restaurants and ordering the vegetarian option in Chile, but o-m-g I *might* even go as far as saying it was one of the best veggie meals I have had in all of Santiago. I mean, not to keep on talking about it or anything, but even my boyfriend who is a meat eater through and through, had to admit that it was even better than his bacon cheeseburger (can you believe it?! better than bacon!!) Aside from the yum-azing veggie burger, we also had one of the most delicious and flavorful beers I have tried (I know I keep on saying that everything was "one of the best I've ever tried" but seriously..Señor Uncle Fletch knows what he is doing) I can't remember the name of the beer but it was from a local brewery in Valparaiso -- please ask your waiter and I am sure he will give you the name. Maybe it's because I had such high expectations for this place, but I really found it to be decent at best. The service was slow, I was able to finish my beer before the burger came. Even though the burger was cooked to the point I asked (medium rare), it was cold. The fries were a tad too dry. The beer selection is good. Overall, I expected way better for the price. Best Burger in Santiago Hands Down! 5 Stars! ---- Oh what was that, you were looking for a great american style milkshake in Santiago Chile?? Are you crazy? You would have been before this Gem opened its doors in the Bellavista area! Uncle Fletch delivers on all levels! Do NOT be silly in thinking you can walk in without a reservation and not get some attitude and or be told to come back a different day. Especially for Dinner, A reservation is definitely needed here! Open table or a similar service books reservations online so do it. So worth it! The experience will be much more pleasant if you do. The table service here is consistent with what you will find in Chile, it can sometimes be slow and normally you need to get your waiters attention but really I have no complaints with this issue at UF. My perfect meal at Uncle Fletch starts with a chocolate milkshake that comes decorated with a strawberry and whipped creme. Its not too sugary and I like to let it linger if I can control myself until my burger arrives. I enjoy the old fashioned cheeseburger if I remember correctly. There is not too much going on in the burger with extra add ons and in my opinion its not needed because of the flavor that you get with every bite! They have a slaw and a sauce on the side depending on what burger is ordered, its either a mustard base or a version of 1000 island. BOTH sauces are delicious and pair perfectly with your burger. Onion rings are on point here as well as the fries! I have loved every bite ever taken here! Unfortunately, I never tried the mixed drinks or desserts because I was always in a heavenly food coma after my meal. LOVE this place so much! read more

One of the best -if not the best- burger place in Santiago. Managed by French owners this place does really know how to make a burger, if you want it medium rare -and you should- you'll get a really juicy burger (most of the places in Santiago totally suck at this, and give you an over cooked and dry piece of meat). The beer offer is really good for Santiago standards, offering stuff like Delirium Tremens in several sizes (even a small tasting cup). They can be a bit slow, but if you want fast food go to fucking McDonalds, we need more of this in Santiago. Keep Rocking read more

A great quality burger place, the best I had in Santiago so far! Yes it gets busy and it's a "trendy" place, so you can get a bit of the attitude that comes with it. We arrived around 8.30pm on a Friday night, trying our luck. The hostess asked us for how many, we said 2, she then proceeded to say "Oh, I am sorry we are full full full tonight, very sorry please come back another day" and basically made a sign for us to leave. I saw the bar was empty, and signed over there asking "hum, is there space at the bar?", to which she replied with a big smile "oh at the bar yes no problem you can sit right away, please follow me" (the whole exchange was in Spanish, so nothing lost in translation). She did seem genuine and nice enough, which made me laugh and wonder: if you are full, why even bother asking how many people? and why not offer the bar seats?... Not sure if that's typical to Chile but similar situation happened to me quite a few times, in any type of restaurants around the country. Tip: when asking for a table, do remember to ask for every options "what about inside/outside/at the bar/at a small table/if we wait for a little bit/if we eat in less than 1 hour". Off to the bar then, which was perfect as we could grab the bartenders' attention anytime to order food and ask about their beer recommendations (and get free samples), which table service, being a bit slow, does not allowed. Food and drink, nothing to add to the other comments: the burger are very well cooked, there is lot of choice of different ingredients and creative mix, the portions are large, and the beer are delicious and a bit different from your usual bar in Santiago. The ambiance, I am not 100% sold, it is nice but feels a little bit cold/industrial, maybe also because of the fake newspaper they use to serve their burger that gives a weird "trying too hard" feel about it. read more

Fair burger joint in downtown Santiago. Dishes are tasty--but nothing special. Also, it's overpriced for this city--it'd be fair for NYC or Moscow. Service was awful, we waited for over an hour to get our burgers. I guess if you come and speak English they'd be much faster--most tables with foreigners were cleared way before ours. The best burger. Very simple very fresh ingredients with awesome French fries. We also ordered the poutine and the chorizo was incredible.
