Disorganized and condescending, they lost their records of having ever met me only two months ago in early January.The bottom line here, IMO, is they have a sexist view of women as head of family finances. They even tried to tell me my husband had brought our taxes to them last year. Oh really? Seriously, they did try that. Obv they had not looked very closely at the form for 2015 which I had left at my first meeting in January, for if they had they'd have seen no outside professional tax prep was used. It provides more reason to avoid this firm. 1) Schwab, which I never mentioned in my review so they are only trying to name-drop by adding it, has nothing to do with their working on my return. Don't go to them if you are looking for a qualified Schwab broker or office because this isn't one. 2) I did not storm in but I did storm out, based on the poor treatment I got when I asked for my file. Yes, it was sexist to say my husband had had our taxes done there the previous year. Sexist and ignorant. Don't try to hide behind a female owner. The only reason this firm asked me for information, which it had in its possession in my file, was because I had not heard from it since my meeting in January. It was I who contacted this firm asking for the status of my tax return. When I got the resulting question for more information, I knew my precious time had been wasted, along with plummeting confidence in its ability to do the work .

Unfortunately, this is a case of miscommunication; we did receive the documentation in January, however, the file was incomplete and we contacted Marian via email asking for the additional information to be brought in. Marian stormed into the office the next morning and began yelling accusations and proceeded to accuse us of not having a relationship with Charles Schwab. After explaining our relationship with Charles Schwab in great length and what it had to do with her tax return, she asked for her paperwork back. This was our first dealing with Marian so we were never given the opportunity to service her. We offered her a free tax return which she declined and she left.

The homestead rebate was not done and when I asked (mary doane) where it was, she said, "I dont know." I generously (after 270$) asked if she had the forms so I could process the rebate and was told again, "I dont know, its very complicated." Needless to say, bad service, confrontational and inefficient.
