I left a message for the vet and also sent a more in depth e-mail, per the website contact information. I did not expect an immediate response, as the site says the doctor is out and about all day long but does check in several times a day. Nowhere on the site does it indicate house calls are no longer being made. NOWHERE. About 5 hours after I contacted him, he returned my call. That amount of time passing seemed reasonable. He asked me what my question was. HUH?! I briefly described my cat's issue. His response? 'Oh, you need to see a vet.' I asked what HE was if not a vet. The response? 'I no longer do house calls. I hope your cat gets better. Good bye.'

With clear directions he urged me to provide more stimulation to the 18 year old girl who has been yowling at the wall lately and also explained how no pharmaceutical treatment would reduce her symptoms of dementia. I feel most confident about his review and advice. I will definitely (once Co-Vid scares and/or my own limiting problems) use him as my primary vet for these two. I am relieved, satisfied and pleased to have found this Dr.

Prior to working with Daniel, my dog, Eugene, would bark, spin, mouth, run, and turn into a high-energy dog whenever someone entered my space, then stay high-energy after they left. It made me nervous having guests over. I put off dog training because I thought I could Google and read my way to a solution, we had a decent foundation in obedience on our own, and, frankly, Eugene and I had been stuck in our ways for some five years together. I wasn't sold on dog training. How wrong I was! Daniel's expertise went above and beyond anything I could've figured out myself. He helped me apply the obedience work we'd already done to create stronger boundaries and a better relationship. He noticed a few quirks in Eugene that meant generic dog advice just wasn't enough. Because Daniel has read so extensively in addition to his real-life experience, he could call out advice I'd picked up that wasn't serving us or help put it in context. Daniel is also dedicated to making the training process efficient -- he's not trying to sell you sessions you don't need -- and he makes himself available between sessions, which was a godsend as we were working through new behaviors. The result is a dog (and an owner) who is more confident and less anxious. Eugene has become a pleasure to be around, and I am so grateful for this. Thanks, Daniel!

Daniel immediately stood out when we were looking for a trainer for his credentials and after a short phone call we already felt confident he was the correct choice. At the initial assessment he observed us and Asher before sitting down & creating a gameplan for training. His training proved priceless, after a week we began to notice a difference & now a month later it is like he is a new dog. An additional benefit is that Daniel made it clear that we could text him any time with questions. We can't thank Daniel enough for how he's helped us and can't recommend him enough to any other dog parents looking for assistance. Thank you Daniel!

My 14 yro furry best feline friend had been feeling under the weather for a few weeks, and I noticed his breathing frequency had increased throughout the day on Friday Aug 28. Our vet's office was about to close and said that with labored breathing, they recommended an emergency vet visit instead of waiting overnight. They recommended PASE given its proximity to my home and their expertise. I arrived at PASE a little after 6pm and check-in was easy, with friendly front desk associates who gave me an immediate visit minimum to accurately set cost expectations, which I appreciated. A vet came out almost immediately for triage and took my guy back to be checked out. After about 30 minutes they moved me into a private waiting room (should've been the first sign something was very wrong, but I was hopeful!) and asked if they could get me anything. So nice. Then after a bit, Dr. Nina came in to let me know what was happening. She'd already ordered x-rays and explained her diagnosis, how that fit in with his previous health complications, and our available options calmly. She was so warm and understanding as I literally wailed in front of this poor doctor. Dr. Nina answered all my questions, was mindful of my cat's pain level, his likely and realistic quality of life outcomes, and estimated costs for all options. She even arranged for me to go back and see him in the oxygen chamber while I was deciding on next steps. After many tears and many more questions, we let Dr. Nina know that we would be opting for humane euthanasia, given the severity of his disease progression and his other underlying health complications. Dr. Nina explained the process in detail with empathy and patience, and let us know she'd be available when we were ready. A woman from the front desk then came in and took care of the paperwork with us, also patiently and with empathy, as much as you can when discussing billing! She briefly explained all of the different cremation options and costs without being pushy at all. We ended up going with a private cremation, and they told us it would take 1-3 weeks and they'd call when he was ready to be picked up. Then an attendant brought my buddy into the room with us so we could say our goodbyes. They provided us with a bell we could ring when we were ready for Dr. Nina to come back for the procedure. At no point did we feel rushed or like we were a burden - we got plenty of time with him for pets and kisses. When we did ring the bell, Dr. Nina came back in and calmly explained the steps again as she performed the procedure. She also performed a kindness I will be grateful for the rest of my life, which was gently guiding my guy's face away so I did not have to see his eyes right as he passed. Dr. Nina, you will forever be loved in our house! She gave him a dignified send off as painlessly as possible. Thank you, Dr. Nina. We were able to leave immediately afterwards but were not rushed out at all. I believe it was about 10 business days later that I received the call that his ashes were available for pick-up. That process was very easy, and again the front desk workers were kind and empathetic for my loss. Billing for services has also been very easy through Vet Billing. I am told this was slightly pricier than other emergency vets in the area but given the exceptional expertise and level of service, I'd say easily it was worth it. I'd recommend PASE and Dr. Nina to anyone in need of emergency vet services. Thank you to everyone at PASE for the best possible conditions for the worst possible circumstances.
