Ate at this restaurant / beer garden. Nice Large beer garden with plenty open seating. If you sit in the back beer garden, service is self serve. You go up to the counter and order your beer and food. Plenty of good German beers to satisfy. I ordered the 1/2 Swine Hock with cheese spätzle, there is a 3 € charge to substitute potato for spätzle, well worth the money. The food was really good, no complaints. One thing to consider, if you sit in the beer garden, the menu is limited. If you get full service inside, the menu has many more options. In retrospect, we would of ate inside so I could have favorite jäger schnitzel. I would go here again! read more

Returned in 2018 and did not disappoint again. Biergarten was open, and is delightful. Small portions are available--a good thing! Visited on a Wednesday night and tables were full. Live music. Good waiter. Amazingly fast service. Parking is somewhat of a challenge, probably why so many ride bicycles here. read more

Came here on Christmas Day for a family dinner. Staff were immediately very helpful on two fronts: firstly, complying with requests relating to the two small children we had in our group, and secondly in translating their shortened Christmas menu from German into English immediately on arrival. Seriously impressed. We had some drinks as we waited for dinner including some very unique juice mixes - though will note that they very quickly fulfilled our request of an earlier meal for the hungry children. Dinner came in a timely fashion, and we were all well-pleased with interesting and very tasty meals we hadn't tried before, particularly of notice an exceptional goose roast. Finished off with a classic apple strudel, then a delightful gingerbread mousse. And all this for impressively affordable amounts. 0.5L of local beer for 3.50 €, small to medium meals for under 10 €, then of course some more expensive options. Highly recommend! read more

Came here on a Saturday. It is definitely a hidden gem! Service and food is awesome. One of the best traditional pork knuckles I've had, 6pm is pretty empty but starts to fill up fast. Has English menu and our waiter is süper cool. Order the Weizenbier. Can't go wrong. This is my new fav spot when I visit München. They are nice to the typical Amerikaner unlike the famous Hofbräuhaus München am Platzl. read more

Wonderful food and service! The beer was some of the best we've had in Bavaria, and the food was exactly what we were hoping for. We had the "Fitness Salat" and the "Kartofelsuppe", and we loved both dishes! It's a stop you must take before going in to Munich! read more
