I came to you genuinely hoping for help, and instead, I got a cold, dismissive, one-minute appointment that felt more like an interrogation than a medical visit. From the second you walked in the room, your energy was hostile. You didn't ask a single meaningful question about my condition. You were more concerned with who referred me than with why I was there. I gave you a brief summary--can't sleep, meds haven't worked, I'd like to explore a sleep study--and you instantly shut me down with, "No one knows the real answer, not even a sleep study." What an incredibly lazy and arrogant response from someone who's supposed to be a sleep specialist. Then, without even knowing my background, you offered me narcotics. If you had taken even a few seconds to look at my history--or bothered to ask--you'd know I've struggled with severe addiction and depression. But you didn't care. You didn't do your job. You just wanted to get me out of the room as fast as possible. Your complete lack of empathy and professionalism didn't just waste my time--it actively made things worse. You triggered a spiral for me. You made me feel invisible and hopeless in a moment where I already felt like I was at the edge. Desk personnel were on the phone or not greeting patients. Phlebotomists were not good drawing blood. I hope this health care setting will improve soon.
