That was how far we got before HE hung up without saying bye, thank you, or let us know if we can help. I'm deciding to bypass this company just based on the his condescending tone and dismissive attitude. I rated a 2star to be fair since he did respond quickly. Update: After leaving a review about my experience with this company. I received a phone call from a completely different number (possibly the same guy) asking me to remove a review since I was not a customer. I assumed he was calling on behalf of another company since he said, they "locksmiths?" are a close-knit community and that he's asking me nicely to remove it (again, possibly the same guy). So, I go back to look at the messages and I notice a picture of the same guy for 2 different companies. Like, what type of scam is this? (Ok, more than likely the same guy) To be fair, this guy wasn't rude, he used please thank you and even told me to have a good day before WE ended the call. It was the type of conversation I wish we'd had the first go-around. Ha, go figure. I've attached a photo of both companies. (Ok, it's definitely the same guy) I want to reiterate that I am NOT a customer and I chose NOT to use their services and I won't use the clone company's services either. Good customer service doesn't start when money exchanges hands, it starts from the moment someone interacts with your business. The fact that I am not a customer doesn't negate your responsibility to treat me kind and with respect. Sir, I wish you the best moving forward.

This lock was extremely jammed due to my own user error. Within minutes Yan was able to get the lock back in working order. Feeling very luck right now!! After the lock was fixed he went around and sprayed pro-grade lubricant in the 11 other locks. Above and beyond! Very fair pricing for meeting us on a holiday (4th of July)!! He even gave us some great tips for our cycling trip in the U.P. What a great guy!!

The local Ace hardware was unable to make keys as they didn't have a comparable blank. They even checked Lowe's to see if they carried them. No such luck. I searched on line thinking I could take a key to their shop which was one of the few near me at 40 miles away. After explaining my dilemma the gentleman (Forgive me for not getting names) asked that I send him photos to see what we were dealing with. I took pics with key along side a ruler for more detail. After he looked the pictures over, he said he didn't have that size. Said he would call back after checking some things. Soon got a callback from a woman this time (could hear him in background) who told me that the lock and key were from Great Britain which uses a different measure a bit larger than ours. They had kindly looked up the website for the name on the key. Although not knowing the translation of pounds to dollars the prices were not cheap. Since the key number written on the key had been smudged when trying to make copy at Ace, they suggested I might find the number I needed inside the lockset. I could take it apart or I could have the gent drive here and do it for around $300. The assured me that it was a simple thing and led me through the process over the phone. That was the best could could do other than suggestions on what to ask from my contractor or what I might want to order from the key company. I bet I spent 45 minutes or more on the phone with them. All the while the man needing to leave for a job, but we were using his cell phone. Thanks for being so patient. I tried to give them my mailing address for a bill, but I was waved off as just customer service. Are you kidding me? They were so helpful and kind I would have gladly paid. If I ever need new locks, these are the people I will deal with! You should too. Locke's is the Best!

Absolutely the most inept repairman that I have ever seen in my 76-year lifespan. He made my…read moreornate, expensive, front-door handle inoperable, then left with the inside knob hanging on. It came off in my hand the minute I tried to turn it. He didn't have the nerve to ask for any kind of payment. The part on my outside, front door handle meant to be pressed by the thumb would not move. Seems to me like it needed proper, internal lubrication. He immediately said an internal part was broken and needed to be replaced. First thing he did, after he had difficulty removing the inside door knob, was to strip a screw when he tried to take the mechanism apart. Soon after, it started to work properly, because it needed, as I suspected, some lube. Now, it just needed to be put back together. He tried for more than an hour, but could not figure out how to put it back together. He jerry-rigged it so the handle looked like it would stay on. It did not. A follow-up call to another locksmith turned out that a spring was somehow lost in the disassembly of the door knob. In any event, a complete replacement will be necessary at the cost of several hundred dollars. I should have known the fellow from Speedy was dicey when he immediately decided without much looking that a part replacement was needed. After he failed to get the knob back on, he hemmed and hawed when I asked if he could replace the entire thing. Clearly, he did not want to tackle that project. In his defense, he's a nice guy. Speedy may be just fine for unlocking car doors, but for anything more involved, I would look elsewhere.

Not good. Guy was very late. Thought this place made keys too but they don't. So he unlocks my car…read moreand we pay him then he gives me a number to call to get a key but tells me they're very rude. I call Best Way Lock and Key and they were very nice. Came super quickly to my location and fixed me a new key for my pretty dated Saturn view. If you end up needing to unlock your car/get a key made quick, you should call best way lock lol they'll give you a much fairer price and a quality job
