And many of us that supported the local mom and pops pleaded with them not to allow the building of this monstrosity, because we knew it would lead to the slow decline of all things good and local. Yes, initially it was a nice store, and yes it was convenient. But the short and long term impact it had on the local business were horrendous. All the great little shops on Main Street in Millville and Landis in Vineland that were starting to recover from the previous recession all closed up shop as they could not compete with the ultra low Walmart pricing. And now Walmart is run now, pays shitty wages, gives nothing back to the economy and has destroyed the local economy. And we certainly didnt need a 2nd mega store down the street putting pressure on our local ShopRites and Acme that pay decent wages. This Walmart doesn't even sell alot of the nice stuff they used to sell, since they market to the local economy. I was shocked to see how grisly their offerings were after not being there for a long time. If I could go back in time, I would have encouraged the local leaders to push harder and reject this disaster from ever being built.

However, the men's room here was atrocious. I would recommend avoiding using the toilets here. The rest of the store? Decently stocked for a Walmart that is NOT a Supercenter. They do not have most of the fresh stuff here and a limited grocery section. Sure, they have electronics and clothing and personal care and housewares. You're just not going to be able to do a complete food shop. This is my 205th Walmart store but the first in New Jersey. https://www.yelp.com/collection/iEN80LJSkej5A7UvndopUw/World-of-Wallys Yay? We randomly found this place when we were en route to another big box hardware store - decided we…read moredidn't want to deal with the horrible parking and crowds at the more famous place and roared into the parking lot here. Good choice. We were camping down the road at Parvin State Park and needed some extra firewood, and wouldn't you know - they had some right in front of the store. The price was $5.99 - nearly $2-$3 less than other places we had previously checked out. OK, so it was soft wood and burned like a matchstick, but it was perfect as the base we needed to start a fire in a cast iron stove. They were having a cashier issue being short staffed, but they made an announcement overhead, solved the problem, and sorted everyone out. That's customer service.

First visit ever to a Tractor Supply Co. I LOVE that they let you take your dogs inside! Nice…read moretouch. Store is big, IMO. I cannot say how big compared to other TSCs but I took photos to show you. They carry a little of everything, particularly everything farm! I never saw egg collecting trays, or the stack of random huge galvanized rings out front (for what purpose I cannot guess). Had a large selection of Ariat boots for riding and casual wear. Lots of clothes, both specialty-functional for farm / riding / outdoors activities, as well as some fashion. Kids toys, dog toys, home decor, feed for various agricultural animals and pets, hardware, camping, etc. There was even a case of jewelry. I had never seen a salt lick up close. I remember my parents buying one for our neighbors as a joke when they had a christening party for their farm-sized windmill that they bought for decor when they sipped cocktails on the patio (this was a 5-acre luxury property, not a farm), but I never saw it up close. Anyway, finally got to see the salt and mineral licks, which look like pavers and were a $6.99 bargain for the huge size. We had seen online that TSC carries some grain free dog foods at prices FAR better than box pet stores, so we wanted to test a flavor or two with our dogs. One dog is allergic to most proteins, and the other can't handle fish. We settled on their boar meat canned food and a kibble version too. The price is great for a grain-free food. Though our nearest store is still quite far, we signed up for their TSC "Neighbor's Club" rewards program. They send you a reward on your birthday, as well as seasonal rewards. I was surprised to find that they do not offer a military discount here, since they have a lot of overlap with stores like Depot, who do. TSC does give military discounts on special occasions (like Veteran's Day), but it's not an everyday thing as it is with similar stores. All in all we found the store very interesting and full of products that are super helpful on a farm or just a regular household. Staff was very friendly, and also interested in what our needs were, and wanted to help in a helpful way, not a pushy sale-driven way.
