Generally though the new releases are on a par and always have a good range of DVDs, Cd's, games.. Only problem I have had with HMV recently is their refusal to refund something I had bought, even though I had the receipt and it was unopened and only purchased the previous week! I have no idea if it was their policy or the member of staff but I ended up just getting something else to put away for a Christmas present. I did not have time to argue that day and have not gone in since, but I will look out for their refund policy next time and if it has changed to exchanges only I doubt I will be shopping at HMV much in the future.

There is no room to take a baby in a buggy in as there are just too many people. The queue to pay always seems to extend back to half way down the shop which again disrupts the ability to browse. They sell a good variety of CD's, DVD's, console games etc. There is always music playing in the background but not loud enough to put you off what you are doing. It does tend to be full of teenagers at weekends who seem to be out in big gangs.

It stocks a wide range of music, movies, magazines, computer games and ipods. The staff are very helpful and know what they are taling about. It is pretty reasonably priced for most products and they usually have some great deals ie three for two of three DVDs for 20 pounds.

You browse through, see CDs from artists you may have forgotten about, rare editions, everything! After the holidays there are many offers and we add a few more CDs to an already too large collection. CDs are on floor 4, beneath you can find DVDs, games, accessories EVERYTHING! There is an adjoining shop selling rock tee shirts and memorabilia and it's right on the High St, next to the Bull Ring and adjoining The Pallasades Mall. Great geeking!

The however prices are very erratic with the stationary and cards the only bits that are reliably low. There books, dvd's and cd's are can be extremely expensive. I have also found the times of this store to be erratic and not always matching the advertised times which seems very strange. I went at 3 in the afternoon and it was closed and it is meant to be open till 5. There was never any publisised reason for it being shut and I have heard from friends of mine that this has been a problem for them aswell.
