It's got a wide selection of vinyl and CDs from bands you know and bands you don't and a deck in store if you are so inclined to "scratch". The staff are helpful but it can feel a little like you don't belong if you're not quite hip and trendy. That's always the case with these places though so you just have to tell yourself you are cool enough. If I need gig tickets I find this is a really good place to come, they've got all the gigs listed outside and it's easy to buy them for all the major venues in Norwich. This is what a record shop should be. The only problem is money, I don't have any and for that reason it's an utter tease. I go in for a single and I want to come out with my arms filled but I can't. Also kudos to the guy in there for being honest and saying it'd be cheaper and better to just buy a new record player from Cash Converters than to buy a new needle from him. He might have lost that sale but he gained this good review and my future business.

Danger - do not go there if you are already running out of shelf space…read more CDs and DVDs are cheap enough (£3-5) that you _will_ crack and stock up, and still not pay a fortune. This is the place to go for alternative music, and those indie films you only ever see at the Picturehouse. It's also the right place to get those classic tracks you only ever heard on the radio.

Fopp! Fopp! Just the name sounds interesting and weird. This store isn't as weird as the name…read morethough, it is actually a relatively normal record store on Sydney Street in the city centre. Fopp was set up 25 years ago and although it sells the same sorts of things that every record store does, it holds an element of originality and has a retro vibe to it. It was at risk of going under recently but HMV lent a helping hand and saved Fopp from disappearing off the face of the earth, which I am quite pleased about. It's selling point is really just the retro atmosphere and slightly funky logo but it really is the same as HMV. I just love the idea of anything remotely nostalgic.

Excellent used entertainment store stocking a variety of films (DVD, BluRay), video games…read more(Playstation 2, Xbox, Playstation 3, Xbox 360) and music (CD). There are no frills in this store, just racks upon racks of stuff - which is just what I want. Simple coloured pricing structure is in place throughout the store, and the ability to mix and match (i.e. 1 video game + 2 CDs) inside the deals is just the best thing. The range of content is vast and I have found on the occasions I visit titles that I have not come across in other stores. The staff are polite and happy to help if the item you are after is not in stock. Would recommend to everyone.
