This hotel was a great find. It's part of a campground complex, right on the edge of the UNESCO…read morerated Geirangerfjord. The hotel has a slightly rustic feel to it, and is decorated almost like a cabin.
There are some good benefits to staying here, as with a decent room you get a really nice free breakfast (which is a HUGE bonus in expensive Norway) and free WiFi (which is a huge benefit in an area with spotty mobile coverage). You can pay extra for a fjord view, which is a must-do. The view cannot be believed.
They have a restaurant on site that does a traditional Norwegian buffet for dinner, which you should have at least one night. The food isn't presented well, but tastes really quite nice.
Just one things... the hotel is not in the town. It's a 2 km walk that is uphill on the way there, and with few to no taxis in town, you will be walking with your luggage up that hill.
