I love this place. I recently moved to the area and this place is my go to. Everyone is super friendly. They have Specials everyday. Tbh best prices of any restaurant these days. I love the chicken and pizzas. all hamburgers are a half pound. Oh man getting hungry just thinking about it. This restaurant deserves MORE than 5 stars. The 2 bartender/waitresses are incredibly busy , friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food was outstanding. Do not pass the Hitching Post! BEST chicken wings we've had, ever, hands down. Truly exceptional. Fresh, plump, JUICY with a variety of sauces to choose from. Innovative flavors, all delicious. Great bar. Locally owned. Beer and liquor prices are very reasonable, I think my boyfriend paid 2.25 for a budlight bottle? The food was great, I got the sweet habanero boneless wings and my boyfriend got a bbq chicken pizza he almost completely demolished lol. I did have an issue with our bartender constantly being rude to us and other customers, and making it very clear that she wasn't happy to be at work. Wasn't impressed. I've only gone here a few times but I've never been disappointed. My boyfriend and I took my sister here a little after her 21st and she had no idea what she liked. The amazing bartender (middle aged gal with red hair) took the time to ask what kind of stuff she liked and she made her super fun drinks all night. They also plugged in the dart machine for us. Eight of us had a great evening last night at the Hitching Post. Surprisingly good selection (Prime Rib, walleye, broasted chicken along with loaded ground round hamburgers and pizza). Went to eat here and the bartender, Chelsea, was very rude. Right from the jump just had a bad taste in my mouth. If you don't like your job you shouldn't work there. This is a great Bar Burger joint. The owners are working to establish a solid business in an ancient former Inn and Church. (The stained glass still is place). Their pizza is good! I also really like their perch that they serve on Friday nights. The prices are very reasonable and since it has been remodeled in the last couple years it is much nicer inside. For the thumb, it's a decent place to stop for food. read more

The new owners know nothing about customer service. I was served some rotten fish; the next table said they could tell the fish was bad because they could smell it from their table. The waitress seemed annoyed when I alerted her, but she did go get the manager/owner from the back. His solution: knock two dollars off the bill for the rotten fish. Are you kidding me? read more

Good pizza. Tried the Hawaiian and was fine. Bartender was friendly. Kind of a dive bar but has some character. Went at 6 pm on a Thursday and there were a few patrons.
