This spot reminds me of a living…read moreMagnolia Farms/Fixer Upper style urban country shop filled with silk succulents, fabulous woven pillows and rugs, basket containers, candles and tea towels. I personally fought the urge to go home with the magnolia silk wreath beside the front counter but my mom ended up buying a kitchen tea towel and oven mit. From the moment you see the front window display at Cozy Nest you'll know this isn't your average small town gift shop filled with trinkets, Cherished Teddies, Precious Moments and Wooden Willows angels (no offense to you collectors out there). Conveniently located a few doors down from lunch at the Montage Cafe and cappuccinos at The Coffee Pot and you couldn't ask for a better Saturday morning in Greenville. I was impressed with the prices given what the items are. My only complaint was that the shopkeeper seemed to have a friend in while we were there and never greeted or engaged with us which would seem like a great marketing opportunity for a newer business. We'll certainly be back and I imagine this scenario isn't always the case.

From the minute you ogle the window display you can tell they're going beyond the bedazzled jean pocket/Kohls-ish fashion of rural small towns. No offense to Kohls fans. C'mon, you know what I mean. On this last particular visit, I was particularly obsessed with a pair of loose fitting flow-y pants that caught my eye in the window. They reminded me of a pair I picked up in Seville, Spain last year. Hard to come by! Sadie Grace brings a stylish, progressive line up of dresses, dressy pants, accessories, shoes and overall trendy apparel. Every time I stop in I find something I'd love to buy at prices that match what they're offering. I've also found that they change inventory frequently making it somewhere you want to visit often. In the back of the shop you'll find a hand full of dressing rooms. Last, but certainly not least, you can tell the staff/owners take pride in their work the minute they welcome you into the shop. It's amazing how many businesses miss how important that initial greeting and impression is.

It was a complete surprise to me that Greenville finally have a good Quilt Shop. I stumbled upon…read morethis store on a Wednesday road trip. You know one of those road trips on a freezing cold day where the sun is bright and sunny but it chills you to the bone if you get out of your car without a winter coat. But this place was worth the trip from the parking spot to the store. I was greeted upon arrival by the owner. Her picture is attached and I found her very helpful. I couldn't believe the selection. Plus she have a nice array of quilts on the walls to show what could be done with both panels and with piecing. The lighting was nice and bright- tha fabric colors just danced. The pricing was great. I have seen much higher prices at much bigger quilt shops, and this one, although not huge it certainly would satisfy my needs if I lived here in Ohio. I don't live in Ohio, but I do love to come to Greenville, and this has given me one more reason to come and spend some time looking at everything she has to offer. I understand she will be included in the Ohio shop hop in 2026. I think I'll make a trip over for that one.!

He listened to our thoughts and developed a set of blueprints that did a wonderful job of showing us exactly what it would look like. The final product exceeded our expectations...5 tiered drops with lighting behind each fall which looks fantastic at night. We were so impressed with their work that we added an adjacent flagstoned patio with a firepit. As we live on a lake, we get compliments on a weekly basis from boaters as they drive by. I was just driving along a country road from Indiana to Lima, Ohio when suddenly a small sign…read morepopped up saying "Annie Oakley Grave" with an arrow pointing to a side road. I thought, "What??". I grew up on cowboys and Indians and one of my favorite TV shows was "Annie Oakley". I had missed the turn but took the next right to reconnect with the road. After driving aways, there was another sign and Brock Cemetery. I turned in slowly, parked, and walked reverently up to the headstones for Annie, her parents, and husband Frank Butler. It was pretty awesome to be standing at her final resting place. I read the information on the plaques, took some pictures, and somberly continued on my trip. You just never know what you will come across when you take the small roads to your destination instead of freeways.
