It was a longer walk from the castle and our adjacent hotel than expected but nothing insurmountable. The concierge made reservations for us. They did not seem necessary but better safe than sorry. There's not much going on in this town so I could imagine this place getting packed at times. Wine selection by the glass was limited but still good as you might expect. For starters, we had the salad with salmon and croustillant de brie which was like a pastry with mushroom/cheese. They were both excellent and we ate every last bit. As a main, we had linguine and tournedos Rossini beef. Linguine was excellent as was beef. Very ample portions which made us regret having two appetizers and all the bread. We had espresso and tea to finish the meal. One of the waitstaff spoke English which was helpful since everything was in French and nobody else spoke English. Atmosphere has a very old and historic quality to it which was cool to sit in. You can imagine being part of the "resistance" or something.

Prompt delightful service! We were the first to arrive for the evening, probably because I was worried it would be crowded. Chalk board menu, lots of variety. I had the salade au chèvre chaud, which was outstanding. For my main I had sole meunière and for dessert I had a freshly made creme brûlée- the waitress crystallized the sugar top with fire in front of me! I like silly things like that, it brings me a little joy. JB had a pate for entree, a piece of ham for dinner and baba au rhum for dessert! The restaurants outdoor and indoor seating certainly filled up as we sat there filling our bellies. Lots of plates cooked maison, very nice quality food!

The service here was absolutely wonderful -- polished, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. One of us doesn't like goat cheese, and the chef graciously substituted that course with a completely different dish featuring broccolini -- beautifully plated and created on the spot! I was honestly impressed by that kind of flexibility and creativity. The ambiance perfectly matches the hotel's grandeur -- elegant, old-world, and dripping with chandeliers, tapestries, and fine art. It's the kind of place that makes you want to dress up a little. The dress code isn't strict, but I'd definitely recommend smart casual or better: a jacket for the gents and a nice dress or blouse and slacks for the ladies. If you wear jeans, make sure they're chic, not your ripped everyday pair. We ordered the Quintessence Menu, a seven-course tasting, which ended up being way too much food for us (our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs!). The presentation throughout the meal was beautiful, but while the service and plating were Michelin-worthy, the food itself didn't quite reach that level for me. Highlights and low points: - The hight light of highlight was their bread service. Their bread was sooooo good and the French butter is...just...always wonderful. - Broccolini dish (substitute for goat cheese): fresh, creative, and very pretty -- a thoughtful touch. - John Dory: perfectly cooked, served with thinly sliced eggplant seasoned with Cajun spice -- I actually thought it was crispy prosciutto at first! - Snail course: the only real miss -- diced earthy snails stuffed in ravioli with a sauce that just didn't work flavor-wise. - Lamb course: delicious, tender, and beautifully plated with leeks wrapped around it and decorated with squid ink -- looked like a piece of art! Cheese course & vegetable courses: tasty but by then we were far too full to truly enjoy them. Red Kuri squash was delicious Fig, honestly none of us actually had room to eat more than a bite and I can't remember how it tasted... Dessert: lovely, and when we asked for a side of Chantilly cream (since we'd missed the cream-making class), they happily brought us beautiful little bowls of it -- such a nice touch! Service, again, was flawless. When I went upstairs to pack (we had an early morning), my husband and son stayed to settle the bill and came back with gifts! The restaurant had sent them off with mini pound cakes for breakfast the next day -- such a sweet gesture. The bill, with drinks, came to around USD $900 -- pricey, yes, but the service, setting, and overall experience made it memorable. While I wouldn't say the food itself is Michelin-star caliber, the hospitality and atmosphere made for a lovely evening in Chantilly.

That room is large with tons of natural light and elegant seating options, contrasted to the dark oak library looking bar restaurant part. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie board, which was phenomenal. We saw there were multiple types of butter available to eat with the bread and had fun trying different combinations, paired with our wine. My wife and I came to Le Stradivarius for dinner while staying at this charming country chateau only 20 minutes from the Paris airport. The food was simply amazing and the service was immaculate. The decor reminds one of dining in an old Parisian mansion, rich with history and baroque appointments. For dinner my wife and I ordered the three course meal. My wife chose the octopus starter, the "Red Mullet" fish course and a lemon tart for dessert. She enjoyed her meal, but she fancied what I ordered much more. I order frois gras patte starter, the filet minion and frois gras main with truffle potatoes and the lemon tart for desert. My dinner was absolutely magnificent. Everything was simply delicious. With excellent food, a romantic atmosphere, and 5 star service, Le Stradivarius is perfect for a date night of for special celebrations. I truly enjoyed my evening here. 5 Stars.

    This little resaurant is located on the outskirts of Chantilly. From the a outside, it looks like…read moresomeone's home but its actually an old 19th century hunting lodge. Out back there's a barn turned car garage, a small corral of sheep and ducks and a small garden of vegetables. You walk inside the main building and you come into the foyer of the place. From what I was told, it is not unsual for French families to open up their homes as restaurants. They will have a room specifically setup for patrons and have a staff to serve all the guests. At La Verbois, the host and hostess of the house greet you as you come in and promptly seat you in the dining area. At our particular function we were served hors devours and champagne prior to being seated. The dining room of this home can accommodate a large group of about 4. We were served a 3 course meal which was one of the most exquisite meals I've ever had in my life. The decor was all done tastefully and the presentation of the food was lively. Our meal consisted of: Feuille a feuille d'aubergines et courgettes au guacamole et miettes de Torteau, Carre d'agneau et petits legumes de saison, Dome en chocolat mi-amer au caramel beurre sale de Guerande et sa petite Creme Brulee. A cup of expresso is served at the end along with home made marshmellos which were colored in yellow and blue. If you ever get a chance to visit Chateu de Chantilly or are in this area, you must dine at this restaurant!
