So he was officially called a "handyman." How well he worked is proof that Australia's system of not recognising overseas tradesmen is costing us dearly. When I saw how good he worked, I asked him do to another handyman task, which he did. And after he left I regretted not asking him to do another small task that needed doing.

I strongly advise others to think twice before using RTL. They were hired by my body corporate to fix a sewerage pipeline leak. On 24 February 2025, while I was not home, they broke into my private garden without my permission, cutting off my lock and breaking my gate to gain access. After I raised a complaint, they insisted that they had informed us about needing access to our yard. However, on their notification email, it made no mention of this at all. Worse still, RTL seems to believe that simply informing you--regardless of whether you approve it or not--gives them the right to break into your property. This is extremely concerning and raises serious safety issues. Although they replaced the lock, they refused to take responsibility for fixing the gate. They claimed it was broken due to aging--when in fact, it was perfectly fine before they forced their way in. To make matters worse, they provided a ridiculously high quote of $4,800 to replace a simple 4m wooden gate. I later obtained a quote from another contractor for only $2000+ for a hard wooden gate and $3,000+ for a Colorbond gate, which is a far better material.

Having picked a couple of colours in the showroom, I was surprised how different they looked in the actual room and with softer lighting. I'm glad I was able to have an in-home quote as I went with a completely different colour than I had originally chosen. Connor also upgraded us from 7mm underlay to 10mm at no charge, as he said that would give us more longevity and be better in our baby's room. He also gave us a discount coupon for rugs if we wanted to purchase one at a later time. Carpet Call weren't the cheapest quote I was able to get, but their service in giving that quote gave me the confidence to order from them and know I'd be looked after.

We called a few plumbing companies and one of them came last Tuesday and had a look. He said "it's 17 years old, just too old and can't fix it" then they showed us some choices of new systems but we decided to go with Andrew Bailey who explained a lot to my partner so he could understand what to choose. Anyway, they came this morning to install the new system which we ordered($4500). They asked me what was wrong with the current system so I explained to them. They then decided to fix it without prompting. After 10mins, he called me and said "it's been fixed. if you want to install the new system, we can but you don't need to"!!!!!!! I was just so surprised at their honesty! They could've installed the new system and we wouldn't have known!!! Thank you so much
