I followed up with them a week later. I was asked to re-submit my resume. I did so. No response. Being that companies are opening back up. I felt it would be a great time to reach out to them today for follow-up...WRONG! I spoke to Sheryl or Cheryl, and she told me I did not have staffing qualifications. She based her assessment on one job instead of my whole resume, which clearly list hiring experience. Sheryl/Cheryl was condescending and could not give me a definitive reason why I did not qualify for the position other than I did not work at a staffing agency! In my prior employment, I have reviewed resumes; assessed skills and qualifications; interviewed candidates; worked closely with recruitment; and chose a good-fit candidate for the position. My choices were productive and thrived in their role. Diverse Staffing really should take a long, extensive look at their hiring practices. They are perfectly well within their right to be choose the best candidate for the job. However, be sure and clear that you're assessing the candidates' work history before you disqualify them as opposed to one job. Because I unapologetically refused to allow Sheryl to discredit my credentials, which I earned over time and still owe student loans; she became irate with me, and I find that to be unprofessional! I only selected "1" rating because I could not choose "0"!
