I went in it this lower-level store, I talked with the owner, I felt the thick, woolen fabric of their stellar ponchos. Yet still, the Layton Hills Mall doesn't yet have it in their directory; there is no website, no Facebook page, no Twitter of Instagram. Be that as it may, I love this place. It has that mom-and-pop flavor with a mishmash of products: The afore mentioned Peruvian coats (for every, yes your reading this correctly, every NFL team); stuffed animals (mostly small dogs); toys including light-shooting rifles (you also heard this right); gigantic animal-themed dreamcatchers; Navajo-type rugs; doll accessories; Baja jackets, and an eclectic variety of things I've only begun to describe. Friendly staff, very reasonable prices, cool stuff ... I may have just seen a mirage in a mall. But I'll be going back to make sure it actually exists. Cool stuff!

The ring was gorgeous, but was a bit heavy for my finger. Now the beautiful light bracelet is just perfect! The abstract bowl I made is also very much to my style. But I certainly appreciated the technique Rene taught me in making the proper round bowl. The sales representative listed on my receipt, Aly W., was less than helpful. She seemed flustered and in a hurry for me to leave the store. I felt rushed and uncomfortable, even though I was clearly struggling to walk and needed assistance finding the right pair. Because I felt pressured and desperate for relief, I ended up purchasing a pair that did not turn out to be the best fit, even though they felt okay at first. About 30 minutes later, I returned because the shoes were hurting my feet. During the exchange, Aly appeared to have been on break and seemed annoyed to assist me. While I understand that everyone has difficult moments, there was no reason to make me feel like a burden. If she was unable to help at that time, it would have been more professional to ask another employee to assist me. I ultimately purchased a men's pair because I was told the women's version was not available. I spent $180 + tax. Thankfully, my toes are improving, and I hope to return to my regular women's size soon. However, due to this experience, I do not plan on returning to Ogden Running Company on Washington Blvd. Customer service has a significant impact, especially when a customer is in pain and genuinely needs help. No one should feel rushed or unwelcome when seeking assistance. It took me more than three months to feel comfortable enough to write this review.

If I can insert a bit of sarcasm, I would probably call this a Lake Shop cause ain't no surfin' on the lake that I can see. Almost every Surf Shop I've been to, from Honolulu to San Diego to San Francisco, is pricey. It is what it is so know that going in. This shop falls into the pricey category as well. They have their own line of hoodies and sweatpants, branded with their Bear Lake Surf Shop patch and I love it! My girl bought me a pair of sweatpants (which just so happened to be women's and also, fit perfectly) and a hoodie zip up. Both are super comfy and despite the massive hole in my hoodie, thanks to my puppy and her oral fixation, I really like them. I also found a beach scented candle and each time I light that sucker up, I think of the lake and how much fun I had on our trip. This shop offers a lot of cool stuff in case you don't feel like driving an hour to WalMart for a beach umbrella, vest, swim trunks, bikini :O) sunscreen and other beach related items. This can be considered a rescue spot because if you don't want that sun to blaze on your melon, that sun umbrella is an excellent investment. It is a bit on the small side inside, and with very few people wearing masks, it can get cramped and feel a bit like folks are on top of each other.
