They were using their printing services at a launch party I recently attended. They're awesome! This is a brand new business with some nice people who were wowing us with their printing knowledge. Through the experience, we had the opportunity to print our own tote bag to take home from the event. In the process, they walked us through how they make the bags, and we got to actually do our own making of the prints on the bag. Afterwards the bags went through a heating process to dry the ink. Voila! Your are now able to take your bag to go. The bag has been washed and the print is still very perfect. They offer several printing services, and I am considering using them for an upcoming project I have for a couple of mine getting hitched in the near future. They're legit! read more

I went to the Hip Hues screen print class where we printed 3 Nashville skyline prints on canvas with different colors on each one. The class was very laid back and a great alternative to a night out. Wine was encouraged so I brought a box (just to make sure I had enough, duh.) I believe the two ladies that run the class are sisters or good friends and very creative and personable. We had a blast sipping wine and taking turns learning the art of screen printing. I have taken other art with wine classes and this one was the most interesting and entertaining of them all. In addition, they will work with you if you have a group outing (bachelorette party, girls night out, etc.) The class basically paid for it-self since I kept one of the canvases for the house and gave two away as Christmas presents. Hip Hues is somewhat of a hidden gem and well worth the money! I feel like I walked away with a unique piece of art that I am proud to show. I can't say that for all the paint/art classes I have taken. read more

Its no secret that I like getting my artsy on as I spend all day in a lab being a scientist. When a LivingSocial deal for this crossed my inbox I was immediately intrigued, and was able to convince a dear friend (and her oh so tolerant and awesome bf) to join me for a Saturday night at Houston Station making canvas prints of the Nashville skyline. And friends, it was as awesome as it sounds. The ladies who run Hip Hues are incredible, fun, talented, and energetic. The gorgeous space, located amid several art spaces within the beauty that is Houston Station, is open and artistic. Screen printing is a great class for anyone wanting to get artsy but feels they may not have the talent for it. This class was extremely user friendly and you hoenstly get something really incredible out of it. I got three canvas prints of the Nashville skyline in three different shades and they are currently hanging up in my house...because I am that proud of them and love talking about how much I enjoyed this class. And you can BRING YOUR OWN BOOZE! Art and alcohol mix quite well :) So seriously, grab some friends and sign up for one of these classes. You can make canvas art prints, aprons, T-shirts, canvas bags...you name it! Check out their website and calendar to find what you want to try out. A friend of mine held her birthday party at Hip Hues and we had an absolute blast. I had never heard of the place and didn't know what I was walking into. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff (I wish I could remember their names) were extremely flexible and put up with our rowdy bunch. We were able to choose from 2 designs to make on our choice of three different mediums. TIP: Hip Hues allowed us to BYOB and BYOP(bring your own pizza). Making it a cheap outing. read more

I took a canvas screenprinting class and had A BLAST. These fun girls teach you the basics, slowly and carefully then help you create your masterpiece. Great people, great music and extremely friendly. Plus I have one of a kind art to hang. One of my best experiences in Nashville so far, I cannot wait to go again! Thanks ladies!!! read more

These ladies know how to run a business! Our office team thoroughly enjoyed our recent private screen printing session! Who knew it could be so fun AND interesting?! The process - which these gals do a great job of explaining- is so much fun and altogether interactive. I chose to print on t-shirts and I must say - they are blissfully soft and turned out great! Others in my group printed on canvas, aprons, and totes and no one was disappointed. The location was convenient and the building itself is so..."Nashville" - lots of charm and even more to offer! The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce used Hip Hues for our small business conference and had a great experience. Hip Hues made customized shirts for our staff ahead of the conference, then also printed tshirts with our logo on site during the event to give our attendees an added experience of printing their own. They also provided a variety of items we could print on such as tshirts, koozies and bags.
