Ballash Woodworks is a great, obscure date experience. This unique craftsman's workshop is owned…read moreand operated by Mr. Kurt Ballash and family. Kurt has an interesting story. Check it out on his website @ ballashwoodworks.com. So basically you can book a workshop, via the website, to "hands-on" learn how to build, craft and design a wooden product from raw materials to finished product. This involves picking the materials and using all of the necessary machinery to complete your product. Our niece scheduled this outing for her, her parents, the wife and I (The 4 Amigos) to partake in a couples crafting workshop; thanks JT. Be warned, this experience is not for the faint of heart. You should really be prepared for the following: * If you go in the winter time, you will be cold. So dress accordingly! * This is a real, fully functioning place of work. It is not fancy! So dress accordingly! * If you are weak, clumsy or both, don't go. You can get hurt. (No one was injured during our workshop) * If you are uber sanitary, don't go! Bathrooms would not meet your standards. * If you are unable to stand for long periods of time, don't go! It is mostly standing room only. Now with that being said, if you are adventurous, good with your hands or like to try new things... RUN book your session immediately. Sessions includes access to materials, equipment, guidance from experts and lunch. Think of this experience as Sip and Paint without the paint and certainly without the booze. My group and I had a great time! Kurt and his team of experts were awesome!! To be honest, pictures are worth a thousand words, and that could not be more true than in this case here. Enjoy the photos :) Recommendation level - Very High

If I could give this Box and Dolly a grade, it would be 110% out of 100%. Box and Dolly exceeded my…read moreexpectations by going above and beyond their job to provide support for me as a customer during my time of need. I am six months pregnant (25 weeks at the time) and alone because my husband moved to PA for a job. I was left with 70% of the house to pack and of course needed help. We agreed to get a U-Haul and hire movers to put the stuff in the truck, then my husband would fly back down to NC to drive the truck. After doing searching reviews on both google and yelp, I contacted a few different companies for a quote. Box & Dolly/Mr. Gibbs reached out to me via phone to communicate his services and rate. He was personable but also very transparent and straight forward about his fee which was 1 flat hourly rate. The day of move, Mr. Gibbs and two other men got there 15 mins early and I was able to show them what needed to stay/go. They laid down a runners throughout the house (to not damage the floor) and got to work. He quickly realized there was something wrong with the U-Haul when he started it to move it. I called U-Haul and got the most wasteful runaround for about 30 mins. Mr. Gibbs picked up the phone and called the U-Haul on Bragg Blvd and was able to get an emergency switch within 2 minutes. Again, I was alone, so Mr. Gibbs offered to give me a ride to the U-Haul. The truck BEARLY went over 30 mph and sounded like it was on the brink of exploding. Mr. Gibbs drove the truck to the Bragg Blvd location and even negotiated an upgrade (larger truck) on my behalf for the inconvenience. At the end, he did not charge me for the almost hour and a half it took to switch the truck out. There's no doubt in my mind that if I hired another moving company, they would have loaded the faulty truck and it would have been our problem after that. There was absolutely no way the first truck was going to make it out of my driveway once it was loaded. To say I highly recommend this company is an understatement. They also took special care to wrap and disassembled furniture. They also were meticulous about packing the truck. When we arrived in PA, our items had not shifted and was not damaged.

I could feel the good vibes when I introduced myself to Mrs. Roxanne and when I met Mrs. Ann I literally saw an angel. I'm a spiritual woman and I felt the comforts of God in that place. For me personally I felt that I was at the right place at the right time. I felt comfort in my soul. I was given a lesson on several machines. Mrs. Ann provided me with the manual and instructed me to use the sewing machine that I was going to purchase. I was so scared but I was able to figure it out. Mrs. Ann said "if you can't sew here, you won't sew at home". They provided me with the confidence that I needed to continue on my journey. I will be returning. The customer service and the warranty alone is worth a second visit. I actually went twice today and the people that frequent the store are very nice as well. They also offer classes and payment plans. In addition to other items that they sell. They're very patient so if you ever visit exercise some patience with them...they're definitely worth it!
