This review update is just for those who are looking to get a reference from this company. Since…read moreit's been a while since my original review I just wanted to update this and let it be known that several months literally a year later I have given this man the benefit of the doubt. They have runoff with my money. I am out thousands of dollars leaving me hanging no work rendered at all whatsoever! Please, please do not do business with them! Christopher Cash, Crystal Cash, Dream Pools or anything tied to him and/or his father as Chris in the end will be the one doing the work. Please don't be fooled by his father's reputation he apparently had a pool company before company before him before Chris make sure you check. He's very proud of his references. There is like two or three customers he's worked with he raves about what great services he's provided but as for me...he stole several thousands of dollars from me and has not rendered any services!

I ordered the liner at the end of the season last year was told it would be about a month before he received it. I messaged him about 6 weeks later to see if it came in and was informed it had and that he would drop it off. I finally received it after multiple no call no shows. He would say I'm bringing it this evening then you would hear nothing. 4 different days he told me he was bringing it by one time even saying he would be there in an hour only to not show up or even call to say he won't make it. I'm a busy guy and don't appreciate being told I'm gonna be there only to not show. Fast forward to this year wanting to get the liner installed and nothing still. The owner leads you on tells you I should get to you next Tuesday only for the day to come and go without a word from the owner. You send a text or call you get no response for days or weeks. I also work as a contractor and I can say with absolute certainty this is no way to run a business. I am sorry I ever reached out to this company. Update on top of everything Chris gave me a liner that was 10' too long for my pool making it unusable and will not respond to text. DO NOT trust this company. Do a quick search on facebook and see plenty of other people who have been scammed by this company.

Probuilt Pool & Patio

BUYER BEWARE - Especially in the St. Louis area…read more If this review saves even saves one person from hiring ProBuilt Pool & Patio to install their pool, it will be worth the $ they owe us under their "installation warranty." ProBuilt completed our pool in August 2024 and their contract clearly states a 1-year installation warranty from the date of final invoice. Despite this, when a major leak occurred in Spring 2025, still well within the warranty window, ProBuilt refused to take responsibility. We paid American Leak Detection to investigate and repair it. Their professional report (with photos) showed a tension break in an elbow joint caused by pool settling--a textbook install-related issue, not a winterization problem. Still, ProBuilt blamed the pool company who opened it, as they have repeatedly blamed others for numerous issues during the install. We tried to resolve this professionally. We shared the report with both ProBuilt and the pool service company for transparency. ProBuilt's owner, Chris Oswalt, instead became belligerent over email, disparaging us and the other two companies (with more than 30+ years combined experience), then when reported to the BBB, he threatened legal action if I did not remove my complaint, and later denied to the BBB that he even installed our pool! Here are just a few other problems we faced: The retaining wall was built wrong, leaving no room for the autocover. It had to be shifted 7" from the edge, and the cover overhung the concrete. Their solution? "Just landscape around it"--later "fixed" with a band-aid dog-eared concrete patch. Our iron fence gate was damaged during removal, yet ProBuilt blamed the concrete company--despite no one touching the fence afterward. They pressured us for final payment despite multiple failed city inspections. Then accused us of delaying them payment. Lastly, they now say our warranty is void because we used another company to service the pool, even though it was proven the pipe break had only to do with the installation. Our contract says nothing of the sort. The warranty is still in effect, and there is no clause that voids it if another company services the pool. This is a tactic to dodge accountability. He's even telling us to remove our BBB complaint because it was filed under the wrong business name. We filed under ProBuilt Pool & Patio, Inc., which is what their paperwork uses. When we try to file under their LLC, the site redirects to the Inc. entity. The LLC is now listed as "out of business" on the BBB. Convenient. Yet the same owner runs both entities, uses the same branding, and the contract letterhead matches the Inc. address. This is not how professionals behave. We are not making personal attacks--we just want this handled fairly. But instead of resolution, we were threatened for speaking up. If you are in St. Louis or anywhere ProBuilt operates, please do your research, and do not be misled by marketing or the 1 BBB claim as they are guaranteed removed. Their St. Louis location is shown as active on their website but listed as "out of business" on BBB yet there is another pool currently being installed in my municipality. ProBuilt: Honor your business, warranty, and contracts. At the very least, we expected some semblance of customer service--basic accountability, professionalism, and a willingness to address issues under warranty without resorting to blame or threats.

With the end of the summer season approaching and my pool starting to turn a little greenish, we needed help fast. After asking for advice in the Kansas City pool community on Facebook, I kept hearing, "ask for Daryl!" So I did! We got our water tested, purchased the basics, and finally got the pool back to balance. Daryl came over within the week to give us 'pool school,' sharing his wisdom and answering all our questions. He even noticed our motor needed the bearings replaced, and we scheduled our pool closing too. From the moment we got into Leisure World Pool & Hearth's care, I've felt so much calmer knowing that they can help fix anything that comes up with our pool. They truly feel like my pool doctors! I am so grateful for their help; I honestly don't know how I would've managed becoming a new pool owner without them. What I appreciate the most is that they are never pushy or salesy. Their goal is to educate and help people take care of their own pools, which is refreshing. Every staff member I've interacted with has made me feel welcomed, and they've never made me feel silly for asking questions! If you're looking for pool expertise, look no further than Leisure World Pool & Hearth!

We are relatively new to the whole pool thing due to buying a house which came with the pool. We had gone with another local pool company with mediocre results with both closing and openings. We just didn't realize HOW mediocre until using this place. Also had a new liner installed about 2 years ago by that other company. We had major gaps in the liner at top where met the pool. I had emailed and called the original company who installed that liner but was never truly fixed. With this pool co they fixed those gaps even though they didn't install the liner. Our pool is cleaner than ever has been with the previous opening which is both a result of the closing and therefore the opening. The gentlemen who came out to do both the closing and opening were personable AND professional. Great communication with leisure world at all times! We have found our forever pool company!!
