I brought my 2024 F-150 PowerStroke Hybrid (13,000 miles) to Hines Park Ford in New Hudson, Michigan for a "Service Engine Soon" light. After keeping the truck for a full day, they reprogrammed the computer and told me the issue was resolved. It wasn't. When I returned, the warning light remained--and a new issue had developed: a loud Auto Start/Stop noise I had never experienced before. They kept the truck for another two days, replaced a couple parts, and again said everything was resolved. But after just six hours of driving, the service light returned and the noise persisted. On the third visit, they claimed to have made a few adjustments and said the truck was good to go. However, the Auto Start/Stop noise came back after only a few hours, and it was clear they had only resolved the service. I brought the truck in a fourth time, now solely focused on the Start/Stop issue. After keeping it for four days, they told me this noise was "typical" for the vehicle--even though it never occurred in the first 13,000 miles and only started after their initial service. I've been extremely patient and invested six to seven hours of my business billing time trying to give Hines Park Ford every opportunity to resolve what they created. I even had to return to drive with the service manager and demonstrate the issue. After another day and a half, I called to stress urgency and was again told it was "normal." If this sound is truly typical, why does it occur only periodically and not consistently? And why did it take 9 days over the course of four visits to the dealership to come to this conclusion? After four visits, poor communication, and no real resolution, I was told there was nothing more they could do. I left with a degraded experience and a truck that no longer performs as it did before my Hines Park service. I chose Hines Park Ford based on their reputation. Unfortunately, this experience fell far well short. If you're considering service here, document everything, ask questions, and be prepared to advocate for yourself. I feel I need to take service for my (4) Ford vehicles to another business based on this terrible experience. read more

They then transferred me to "the scheduler" of which I left another detailed message. Left another message at 1:32pm...and again at 4:40pm. Now eight hours later...I'm still waiting for a call back. Due to the lack of customer service, I moved my business to Tom Holzer Ford for the past 12 years. I felt I should give Hines Park Ford another chance and experienced the EXACT same lack of customer service as I experienced a dozen year ago. Won't try anymore to use Hines Park Ford anymore. Showed up early for an oil change and was 2nd in line before they opened. There are two lanes for coming into service. The brilliant employees checking the cars in took 45 minutes to get to my car. In their infinite wisdom they took about 8+ cars in the second lane first, then one in the first lane. When I asked why I was watching them service the far lane ONLY, they were dismayed and rude. No explanation except that they essentially aren't smart. No rhyme or reason for why the low gray matter employees decided to check in people that arrived a half hour after we did. Just like flies to feces they followed each other without thought. I left and drove to a dealership near my house that got me in quickly. Avoid this dealership for oil changes. read more

They only care about numbers. if you bill lots of hour you can break all the rules, if you do good work but work slow you get screwed. if your name is Tom you can do absolutely anything. I have all he confidence in my Rep Rick but in todays world, to see hime you have to make an appointment through a coordinator. Also when you arrive to pickup your new vehicle that is handled by another Rep. This 2nd Rep was not aware I wanted and was to get the all weather mats and when I asked why the gear ring selector was not detentded or stopped at the Park and Drive positions but could continue to rotate it past those positions. I was told he didn't know but everyone was complaining about that. When I got home I discovered the drivers door code was not in the glove box nor could it be found anywhere. I notified Hines Park Ford via the Chat person and was told I would be contacted by a team member. That has been several days now and no one has called me. read more

As an employee, this place is not that great. The managers are disrespectful and rude at most times and they get pissed at us for not doing something even though we were never told to do it. When we dropped off customer's cars they'd give us the wrong addresses, or we would be late because they would send us out last minute during rush hour traffic and we wouldn't get back till 5 minutes to close sometimes. They also don't pay very well and when they hire new employees they hire them in at more than employees that have been there longer and don't even get the chance to earn more money for months or even years. read more

I have gone to Hines Park Ford twice now as I needed to look and test drive before I made my decision. I realize there are no cars to be found right now. However the first time we stopped in they had one on the "porch" but I could only sit in it. They would not move it for me to test drive it. Another dealer, another brand, had no problem letting me test drive a vehicle they had on their "porch"! The saleswoman was not interested in selling. We didn't know her name, she didn't ask for ours, she never offered a business card nor did she ask for information from us to even contact us at a later date. So I waited 1 1/2 months, as she suggested and went back. I said I do not want to work with her. We had an appointment this time. We show up and we are told no one is available, they were all busy. We will have to wait. We about a minute later a gentleman comes out and we thought he was a customer. He was a salesman. He took us back to his cubicle and again no real interest! We talked a little bit, and I mean very little, he was hard to hear and there was a lot of dead air. Does anyone there have an interest in selling at this dealership? Does anyone have a personality? The front desk person was very nice. She's obviously the only one!!! I called another Ford dealer and was very pleased with this information and personality of the saleswoman I will deal with her when they have a vehicle available. We went to Hines Ford because it was local. STEER CLEAR of this dealership. I will never go back and I will never recommend this place. read more

I've always liked Hines Park Ford. We've purchased vehicles from them and used their service department and have always been happy. But....the last 2 times I've contacted them for service, it's been awful. The service scheduler never answers the phone. Tried multiple times and went to voicemail every time. This time, I finally listened to her message and she said she would call back, but she was currently backed up a full day on her callbacks! A full day! So she'll likely call back when I'm driving or some other situation when I can't access my calendar. I don't want a callback. I want a person to schedule an appointment when I call. Called another dealer, put on hold for 30 seconds, scheduled service appointment. That's the way it's supposed to work. Hines Park does not provide an easy, seamless experience to get your vehicle repaired or serviced. They'll need to make a lot of positive changes to get my business again. read more

I have had a series of issues with the sales and service department at this dealership. Will not return. After picking up my car from it's most recent service they did not acknowledge or address the TPMS sensor fault that was present on the car. No mechanic or manager reviewed the work done. The paperwork was poorly filled out. I discovered after driving 500mi that my tire pressure was set to between 40-45psi (35 is target). In addition there was an outstanding recall for a faulty purge valve that was not mentioned or noted. From a sales perspective they ensured the car I was looking to buy when my lease expired in 6 months would be available. A Focus ST in either Red, White, or Black. After frequent communication I was surprised to find out that with about a week left on my lease they didn't have a car available, but instead tried to sell me a Focus RS which is about $10k more then what I was looking for. Went to another dealer and had the car I was looking for within 48hrs. read more

I question the integrity of the service department with female customers. Once a year, when my husband's work schedule does not allow him to bring his own vehicle in for service, I bring it in for him. (I drive a Chevy and get my vehicle serviced elsewhere) On each occasion I am approached during the routine oil services I am there for about additional services they recommend. As it is my husband's vehicle I declined and ask them to write it up to convey the message - this was several months ago. Just last week he returned for his next oil change on the vehicle (with no repairs performed in the interim) and the mystery oil leak nor the break work they reviewed with me came up during his visit. They instead offered him a replacement cabin filter which he truly did need. Why did they estimate $300+ in bogus services for me and an honest $20 item for him? Last year I shrugged it off, but this glaringly obvious lapse in character appalls me. I will never shop for a vehicle here and strongly discourage any women I know from considering doing any business here sales or service. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars!! We went there a year or so ago because my husbands car needed a new distributor. They quoted us some ungodly amount so I called my regular dealership in Howell. They quoted us $300 less! When I asked how this could be they said there was no reason for it since they use the same parts supplier and should be quoting the same amount for labor. Anyways, I decided to have a friend fix it and was told by Hines Park that they would charge my battery so that I could get it to him and I could pick the car up in the morning. I got there in the morning and they told me my battery was bad and they couldn't get it to charge that much but it would be fine to get it where I needed it to. They had been so nice over the phone when telling me they would take care of me and have it charged, now they were being kind of mean and nasty. Sure enough, I broke down less than a mile down the road....*sigh* When I got it to my friend, who has his own shop and is a real mechanic by the way, he says that the battery tested fine and that they must not have even attempted to charge it. One star only because ZERO is not an option. I first purchased vehicles from Hines Park Lincoln/Mercury beginning in the 80s. Some time ago we were in the market for several new vehicles. The experience was infuriating, the treatment we received was degradiing and inexcusable. One of the vehicles was a 'Certified Pre-Owned' Ford that was displayed in their showroom. When it came time to take delivery, they claimed they could not locate the title. It took them nearly two weeks to come up with the title (???). When it came time to pay for this vehicle and take delivery, they tried to give us a different vehicle (same color but a completely different vehicle). It could have been a simple mistake, but considering everything else that was mishandled, it could have been a bait & switch. I've never experienced such a thing at a car dealer. Attempting to deliver the wrong car? After the 'Certified Pre-Owned' Ford' was delivered, it was not running properly and it stalled - a dangerous situation. They took the vehicle into service and performed several outstanding Ford Recall fixes. Ford's website says that 'Certified Pre-Owned' vehicles' comes with a 172-point inspection, CARFAX® Vehicle History Report and has had all Recalls performed.. So at a minimum the outstanding recalls had not been done prior to sale. We also were provided with a vehicle history, but it was not a CARFAX, in fact it was a name I had never seen or heard of. A fake CARFAX. Beware. Ford Motor Company outsourced their lease return inspections; they are now conducted by an 'independent' third party. Knowing this, I asked my salesperson to do a 'walk-around' of the vehicle being returned, just to confirm it was in excellent condition with no damage, dents or scrapes. A few weeks later, I received a bill for $100 for a damaged windshield. I contacted the salesperson and reminded them that they inspected the vehicle with me and saw no damage. The $100 charge was dropped. Beware. Take lots of photos of your vehicle so you can document the condition. During the weeks it took to take ownership of these vehicles (Yes, it took WEEKS), the salesperson was unresponsive and eventually stopped returning calls or emails. In summary, the entire experience with this dealership turned into a nightmare. Keep in mind they delivered not one, but THREE vehicles and I had been a customer of theirs for more than three decades. If this is how they treat a customer of more than 30 years, how do they treat first-time customers? Caveat Emptor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Extremely disappointed with service experience - especially the Enterprise car rental. Brought in our 2014 Flex on June 7 for a third time due to the same issue (dead battery) that they have not been able to identify a cause for. Even worse, had to get our "loaner" thru Enterprise for which they took a $50 deposit which has yet to be returned to our account. On top of that, we were charged nearly another $30 without any detail or explanation provided. Several phone calls and no resolution. Our last 3 new vehicles are from either Hines Park Lincoln or Hines Park Ford. With this experience, this will likely be our last from this dealer. Took my flex in for oil change an tire rotation. The service guy remembers me from many other visits. The service is a mixed bag... ive learned who i can trust only after dozens of times coming here. Today im typing this review using my wifes android os tablet pc an jacking into the free wifi. Its not so bad cause hines park offers various freebies for customers. Coffee, snacks, comfy seats, a plethora of magazines, an a tv thats contiously showing crappy gop fox news cable. Sometimes i wish i could go elsewhere but after two yrs of trying to find good customer service from various Ford dealers, hines park ford is the closest dealer to me that is at least middle of the road. When i can i request Mr. Ted Minnie who imho is the best of the service guys there. There is a mechanic there i like, Cass who has always been a good fellow. Other than them i have little else good to say about hines park ford. always check & ask what they did. there are times they seem to forget to tell you and its annoying trying to guess if they actually did all the work you requested. at least they are quick. I am used to about $35-$40 for "the works" - oil change, oil filter, tire rotate, and inspections. read more

A friend recommended me years ago, and this is now my "go to" dealer for parts, service, etc. In fact, when I was looking for a 2009 for F-150 without a front bench seat, he took me to see a used 2008 F-150. I was thinking like "ohh boy, here we go" BUT it only had 5,300 miles on it! It must have been repo'd or something? Doesn't matter, it was love at first sight! It was EXACTLY what I wanted, except a model year older. No biggie, I saved a TON of money buying it AND got the 100,000 mile extended warranty with it! I picked it up the day before Thanksgiving in 2009 and I still have it today. Just crossed 80,000 miles a couple days ago actually. Runs like a champ, never any major problems. And when I did bring it in for warranty work, everyone was friendly, got it done fast, and never any hassles. Same goes for parts too, I'm in and out fast! read more

Took my 2015 Mustang in to Hines Park Collison after I took a piece of debris on the highway to the hood of my car. I live out of state now, but was back in town for business. Worst dealership ever. Had an appointment to purchase used vehicle. Salesman keep us waiting for 45 minutes to see him. Again we had an appointment! He immediately tried to get us to sign on the dotted line. I had a few question about the vehicle and the 189 point inspection. The salesman could not offer an answer and had to excuse himself to get the answer. He was gone about 10 minutes and finally came back and gave the answer. Had another question, which he could not answer, he left again and came back with the salesmanager who again proceeded to strongarm us into signing the dotted line. They would not not negotiate on anything and would not even replace the windshield which had two rock chips. Would not recommend this place to anybody. read more

I have used Hines Park Ford several time for their oil change/tire rotation service ("Works Package"). They have always done a good job. The "Quick Lane" is somewhat of a misnomer. Best to call ahead to see how busy they are. This is a smaller shop with good customer service but they can get busy. I usually plan to leave the car if I am going there on a Saturday. I have also bought tires here. They guarantee the best price in town and I found that to be true. read more

I leased a vehicle from them and I'm from another state. I received an email 2 weeks later stating they miscalculated my payments, my monthly payment was going to increase, and I needed to resign my new lease agreement. My temp tags expired. I asked for an update ion what was going on with my license plate. They stated it was an Ohio title issue with low staffing. I spoke with the Ohio BMV they stated they never received my paper work. I called Beacon who takes care of the paper work from the dealership to Ohio BMV. Beacon said they have been trying to email Hines Park Ford regarding some missing documents. I called Hines Park Ford to speak with the sales manager. I called him 3 times and left a voicemail with no response from the sales manager. I called twice to speak with the finance director and left a voicemail. Instead of the finance director calling me back he emailed me stating they cant issue me another temp tag, but I can go to my local BMV and purchase a temp license plate till my issue is sorted out. I wish I would've called to speak with the owner of Hines Park Ford. DO NOT TO BUSINESS WITH THEM IF YOU ARE FROM ANOTHER STATE!!! Left dealership, drove 5 miles home on paved roads -- car had huge industrial nail in sidewall and had to buy new tire. When I said something to dealership, I was told that I "should have purchased the tire plan!" Took car to their body shop after an accident. Took 5 weeks because they were waiting for parts. How can you wait so long for parts for a new car??? Was told that I had Sirius radio for a year and commented at the time that that was a long time for a trial period only to have it expire in 6 months. First Ford I've purchased and I've had a new car every two years for over 35 years. Not impressed with whole package. read more
