Just wanted to update my review. After not being happy about his initial haircut Derek msged me quickly to try and fix it, even offered a refund. He was incredibly understanding and quick to reply. He was so patient with my son. I declined the refund, just wanted it fix. We went to a party were my son got so many compliments. Took my 4yr old Saturday to get a haircut and this is what we got I feel like it should be parted better right? I'm not barber but this doesn't look right. Went to a place with great reviews he did sit on my lap but he wasn't whinny or moving. The guy said we were done so my son got excited knowing we would be going to the store for a toy. $45 for this and a $50 bribe toy later... what a waste. Now we are in search for someone to fix it. read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Adam for the past two years, and I genuinely wouldn't go to anyone else. Every time, he gives me a clean, consistent, and fresh cut that always has me feeling sharp and looking on point. Adam pays attention to the little details--he remembers exactly how I like my fade, takes his time to get it just right, and never rushes the process. On top of that, he's easy to talk to, professional, and always makes the experience comfortable and chill. If you're looking for a skilled, reliable, and all-around solid barber, Adam is your guy. He's been keeping me fresh for two years now, and I'll keep coming back. Easily 5 stars! read more

Mario is a dawg, took his time and nailed my first cut with him off a picture he seen for 5 seconds. Good vibes, good chops, good people. Beats prices all around Brentwood and Oakley. The other guys in there are chill and are peoples people. Go get your cuts here!! read more

My husband has been going to Derrick at HIMC in Oakley for two years. Before moving out to Antioch, his barber in Burlingame charged him twice as much for the same services. Derrick is professional, pays attention to detail and gets it right every time. He's the only barber my husband has trusted out here. A true professional in his field. He listens. We appreciate you, Derrick! read more

Need some quality control here on their barbers. I've been there twice and my first barber did a great job. Second barber respectfully had a good artistic vision but no technique. Left my hair looking like a lawnmower had gone through it. Didn't ask for anything complicated. Not really sure where he learned to cut hair. It's hard to say if I'll be back if anyone is just allowed to cut hair there. Update: I went back when I had more time and they were able to mostly give me the haircut I was looking for. I respected their customer service effort so I'm giving them 1 more star for the effort until I get another haircut. read more

service was really good, was treated with respect and it felt like a welcoming experience. The worst part is that the barbers don't know how to cut, I was expecting way more for $45 that they charged ,the barber I went to wasn't able to fade. You were clearly able to see the lines and it was horrible, not to mention they didn't cut anything off and was done with a full haircut in 10 min. Worst barber shop ever wouldn't recommend. My friend got a haircut as well but from someone different and the same thing happened but took longer. read more

Gio has been my son's barber for over a year now. He is always on time and does a fantastic job every time. My son is now 13, and I love that he gets the real barber experience here. The barbers talking to other barbers and clients, the vibe is always on point. It's super clean and up to date, flat screens while you wait. 5 stars! read more

It was my first visit to this shop and it was a great experience. It'd been months since my last cut and I basically had caveman hair. My barber/stylist was Julian. He was very nice, meticulous, and he communicated what he was doing every step. The shop is clean, has some swagger, I really enjoyed my experience, and I'm very happy with my haircut. read more

I've been looking for a barber for a while now and I can honestly say that I've found him. Gio was recommend and he did not disappoint! Not only was he very professional but you could tell that he knows what he's doing. Already rebooked with him again and I highly recommend him. read more

David has been cutting my hair for a year now and he continues to take pride with every haircut. His staff is friendly and there is a great environment while you get cut. Each barber's sense of commitment is shown through the work they do with each person that comes in. They are not satisfied until you love your cut. I have been to many different barbers up and down the state, but this place is the best read more

So I've got an antsy 3 year old who has only had his hair cut in the kitchen. I wanted to get him used to coming to the barbershop so I decided to check out HIMC. I called first and they assured me that anyone could cut a child's hair. My son's hair is pretty kinky and it had gotten long, so I was a little hesitant but I brought him by anyway. Since I hadn't scheduled an appointment, Anthony told us to come back in a few hours. When we returned he was ready for us and my son hopped up in the chair! Since he didn't want to sit by himself, they allowed me to sit in the empty chair next to him. Anthony is incredibly patient! He even let my son hold the clippers and brushes so he could get used to them. The cut came out exactly as I requested and even my son was super pleased with his "big boy haircut"! HIMC has a client for life! read more

Called Anthony around noon and he was able to squeeze me in after closing hours on a weekend. He was attentive to my requests and he was able to take care of me. The barbershop was spacious and clean. Will definitely get cut here again when I'm in the Oakley area. read more

I've been getting my hair cut here for about 2 years now, nothing but great things to say about the shop. Every time David cuts my hair I get stopped in public with questions on who cut my hair and where I go. I get compliments on my hair almost every day due to the amazing job David does. The shop has such a great atmosphere full of laughter and positivity. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a long term barber or even just a quick weekend cut. Also mario the barber makes me feel safe in the shop. Thanks Mario. read more

Been going here for years now. Always a great vibe and barbers have the best customer service. It's mostly appointments but they do take walk ins if they have time. Great barber shop with barbers that know how to cut and fade any style hair. Hands down they are the best in town. Keep on rocking my guys!

I've been here a few times and have always gotten really great service. We had an appointment scheduled with Derrick, unfortunately we arrived 10 mins late, that's ok, totally our fault due to traffic. Derrick said he couldn't take us because he had another appointment in 15mins. So another barber agreed to take us right after which was great. Unfortunately he didn't do as good a job as Derrick. I don't think these young barbers should be in a chair unless they're really ready. My son wanted a simple fade before his braids but the barber convinced him to get a taper instead, it's totally uneven and had large pieces still sticking out on the sides and the back.‍It was a total waste of $40+ tip as we will need to have it recut just to fix it. Oh and Derrick's next appointment never showed, I think his popularity has gotten to his head. We won't be back so it's ok. Oh and answer the phone! We tried calling to say we were running late but no one ever answers. read more

They sexiest af here, i thought cutting hair was a suppose be a passion. I came here randomly to support a new lil barber shop . Worst experience ever!! They don't like gay people, the guy who cut my hair didn't even care that he was cutting my hair. My sh** was all the was F*** up. What's really weird they only knew I was GAY , because one of there in the closet barbers. But that's besides the point. I took my one and a half-year-old son to the barbershop to get his hairline lined up trim down in a fade and the young man that did it seem like a straight up rookie I even paid him $30 that he requested with a seven dollar tip shouldn't have done that the way my son left with patches in his head I am a very dissatisfied customer I expect great work and not a young man who wanted to mess up my child's hair any experience barber that work there for years should've stopped me at the door and told me my sons haircut looks like shit read more
