Date of visit: 15/9/22…read more First, it always worries me when I've placed the order and then to be told it will be 10 to 15 minutes. Second, this must be up there with the worse curries ever eaten. I've seen fab reviews on another review site and bad ones too, so I don't know what other have been eating. All the curries were in a watery sauce, with little flavour. The rum rum chicken was shown as being hot yet was very bland. Temperature wise it was lukewarm. None of the curries were enjoyable and the chicken pieces were small and overcooked, particularly very hard and difficult to chew. The directions to the place and car park at the rear were good, and it isn't maintained as they outline. Interior decor is very good. The oddity is the pricing, see below. Clearly the menu on their site hasn't been updated. Own. Just Site Eat Chicken Bhoona - £5.95 - £7.95 Piro kukhura - £6.95 - £8.95 Chicken Dhansak - £6.25 - £7.95 Rum Rum Chicken - £7.45 - £8.95 Garlic naan - £2.50 - £2.95 Plain Naan - £2.25 - £2.95 Plan Rice - £2.50 - £2.95 Pilau Rice - £2.60 - £3.25 Totals £36.45 £45.90 Paid £40.90 They added 3 poppadoms in the bag with a small pot of raita. I presume that that was free. I certainly didn't order. I shall not return, and I cannot recommend. The place had been highly recommended by my son's boss. I just wish I'd taken pictures of the curries now.

They offered a beer call gurka which I tried. Unfortunately, even though it was in the menu, they didn't serve small ones and so I was forced to try the large one. I took one sip to convince me that I will never drink the whole beer. The taste was so far from a beer taste as it could be. I will never order that again. The vegetarien food I ordered was to serve with to much oil around it. So it was difficult to get the taste of the vegetables thru. The other things we had were not bad at all, but I think I will prefer other restaurants next time.

I have really enjoyed it here tonight! Having tried a small tapas bar around the corner which was…read morepacked we found this place. I was dubious at first because it wasn't very busy for a Friday night and the waiters were a bit wooden. Oh and they didn't take card... Looking at the Nepalese and Indian menu though it certainly had a lot of non cliche choices.. I settled for a cheese panner and a Nepalese fish curry for a main. I honestly can't remember the last time I had such a lovely flavoursome curry...it was just beautifully spiced and the fish was nice and soft. A fish dish will cost you £13 unless you order a lobster balti which was about £20 which is not bad for lobster I guess... But despite the not so slick waiters it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere where people casually chatted without the feeling of being rushed. I loved the carvings on the wall..and the cushy layout... I just wish these guys were closer to me as I'd order takeaway from them quite often...which I guess overtime I would turn into a stuffed Naan so I guess it's a good thing... But yes try here to get a non average white man curry

[+] - Family-owned and run restaurant in heart of downtown…read more - owners are very nice, welcoming, and helpful with your questions with Nepalese/Nepali (Himalayan) cuisine. - Good selection of Indian and Nepali food. - Try Chewala/Woh appetizer - very authentic, chatamari is decent as well. - Good Indian food. [-] - Lamb momo in hot sauce (although delicious) is not a typical Nepali dish. Keep selling it as soupy momo, but please at regular chicken or pork momo.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow!!!!!…read more Have you ever eaten Tibetan food? If not, you really need to try it. This place has just opened up, literally, been open a week and the flavours are just spectacular. Started with Momos: little dumplings, full of either beef or vegetables. I went for the beef, delightful, light and puffy pastry, with a really juicy beefy filling. To accompany these, they have a chilli sauce, great flavour, not too hot, some garlic, maybe a hint of ginger, some sesame too? Gorgeous none-the-less. Then moving on to the main dishes. A sliced beef, green pepper & red onion stir fry and a tofu & mixed vegetable stir-fry. Both of these were brilliant. Juicy pieces of beef and no insipid tasteless tofu, there was really good flavour and a great blend of spice to make the dishes really interesting. I'd happily eat either again. Finally, the prices are spectacularly reasonable, especially for Chorlton. Two full meals and a couple of Momos for less than £15! I'd get in quick before they put them up, they are definitely undercharging at the moment for the quality and flavour, plus... everything is organic where possible, they use the best quality ingredients that they can source and cater for any special diets or allergies. They have a decent vegan offering and will cater for gluten-free by adjusting the recipe slightly. You can eat in or take out, but to eat in you'll want a warm coat or hope they fix the door that blows open a bit too easily!! Would thoroughly recommend this place, it's just brilliant, and the owners are really friendly and pleasant.

Wow, I eventually made it to the promised land of fine Tibetan food in Manchester and I wasn't let…read moredown one bit! After visiting the TK pop up van at food festivals a couple of times over the last year, I was super excited to hear these guys were setting up a proper bricks and mortar store in Chorlton. I was in town hitting a few pubs with friends and I had to make it the number 1 priority to get here at some stage of the evening. First off it's very casual, mainly a takeout but there was enough seating at the front for around 10 people if you want to eat while popping in for 20 minutes. The layout is of a food counter style and there are a number of exciting combos and thali's that you can order direct from the informative chef. I went for the thali which was absolutely fantastic, giving me a combination of most of the dishes they had on offer including pork, chicken and goat, loads of vege plus a Momo on the side. In fact I love Momo's so much that I actually ordered a separate plate which were amazing - every time I'm in town I may just pop in for some now. You can eat for £4 upwards and the Thali was around £6.50. What's refreshing about this place is that I was out for beers and that usually translates into me eating a dodgy burger or something equally unhealthy on a night out. With TK, it's really nice to be able to get a big plate of something that tastes amazing but comes with loads of greenery and you know is better for you than the usual casual food outlets. Tibetan Kitchen, I'll be back soon! ps - I'm keeping one star back for my next visit, as I want to try a few more dishes!
