My second favourite Manchester hotel, convenient location close to the station, spacious rooms and friendly receptionists. By coincidence it was the same receptionist from when I stayed there a year earlier. Also they still keep newspapers which most hotels have done away with. Four stars because catering let's the place down, have had breakfast, lunch and dinner here many times and nothing to write home about. Hilton Manchester Deansgate is one of the most iconic sites in the great city of Manchester, while something does seem to go wrong during every stay, it appears to be just minor issues which are addressed straight away, the hotel is a stunning building with amazing views of the city, especially from high-floor rooms, it is also close to Deansgate Station where you can get Metrolink services across the whole of Greater Manchester. The hotel has changed a lot under COVID-19 and Coronavirus guidelines, including the fact the Executive Lounge is currently closed, at the time of writing, but they make up for it by offering a free drink at the Podium Bar, where a limited menu is served at mealtimes, while it lacks the stunning views of the 23rd floor, it still is a great compromise. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a King Deluxe Executive Room on my stay, the room has USB charging and seemed to be appearing more modern, the TV's in the hotel seems a little old meaning I couldn't use my Amazon Fire Stick as the wires were blocking the port, the "menu" button also didn't direct to the TV guide as it should, I'm not sure if this is a TV or remote issue. The hotel did seem a little understaffed, I presume this was down to fewer people staying in the hotel and social distancing which does make sense, despite a slightly longer wait than normal, the staff seemed super friendly and happy to help as always. The only reason this place in the past reviews I've written didn't get a five-star review was they hadn't shown me a more luxury premium experience as my previous upgraded room was no better than a standard but with amazing 21st-floor views, Nespresso coffee machine, a huge King Size bed and USB charging, they have now offered that. Hilton Manchester Deansgate makes it fun and makes me want to be a tourist in my own city, prices also seem to be lower than ever as they're passing on the hospitality sector VAT cuts to the customer, which makes it a better time than ever to visit, as even with reduced services this is a great hotel I can't wait to return to. One of the few hotels I've visited worldwide alongside locations in Paris, London and Manchester to warrant a full five-star rating. If you should ever stay in the Hilton on Deansgate, pay the little bit extra to get one of the executive suite and capitalise on the hotels presumptions that it's executive guests are far too twee and proud to fully exploit the unlimited drinks policy in the executive lounge. When dreaming up this fantastically naive policy Paris and co. obviously overlooked the likes of myself, the normal, decent people who have perspective and would exploit their damn grandma and have no pride when it comes to free volavonts and Bulleit whisky in an executive suite on the 23rd floor! Once you've explored the exploitation plan to its full capacity, follow in my footsteps and stumble over to the see-through floored section of the lounge where you get to see just how far your vomit would have have fell had it not been hindered by the almost-invisible-but-unfortunately-all too real safety glass beneath you. read more

This hotel is a dream! I regularly stay away for work in Hilton hotels so I've accumulated plenty of points over the last couple of years. With these points I decided to treat my other and I to a night in this lovely hotel. For just 40,000 Hilton Honors points, I booked my partner and I into a King size room. Through the app, about 24 hours prior to my stay, I was able to pick my room. I went for the highest possible floor (which was Floor 13) knowing that the views across Manchester is a big feature for this hotel. The day we were due to arrive, my partner said we'd drive in rather than get the train in and suggested I called up to check the parking situation. There wasn't enough spaces available but she mentioned that Great Northern car park was next door for £17 for 24 hours. As I'm a Gold Hilton member I'm entitled to best available room upgrades so was delighted when she told me she was able to upgrade me to an executive room on the 20th floor. She also let me know that I'd be able to get early check in at 1.30 ish. The room, was really lovely. Spacious and clean with a super comfy bed. In addition we had access to the Executive Lounge on the 23rd floor. The perks of this included: - 6pm to 8pm free Prosecco, Wine and Beers along with canapés - all other times, coffee and soft drinks - complimentary breakfast in the lounge The free upgrade made our trip extra special and I'm already trying to rack up more points for our next trip! read more

I have stayed in a few Hilton's and this one is by far the best. Now maybe I am bias because I got free drinks with my executive room and maybe I was not thinking straight due to the dizzying heights of staying on the twentieth something floor but I don't care. This place is a wonder and if you look at it from some distance it defines gravity as it is built top heavy.......you clever clever architects you! Benefits to staying here are : a) Free food and drink with executive rooms. b) Not having to join the queue for Cloud 23 c) Leaving your bags here whilst you shop d) The breakfast ......admittedly I take this on recommendation from my boyfriend as I was sooo hungover I could only managed a measly buttered slice of bread. read more

Opened in November 2006, this is what you call a 'landmark' hotel. Its 279 rooms occupy the lower 23 floors of the 47-storey Beetham Tower, which at 560ft (170m) is the tallest building in Manchester and the seventh tallest in the UK. Architecturally, its modern verticality provides a fantastic contrast to the huge, horizontal red-brick facade of the adjacent Great Northern Goods Depot. Definitely 21st-meets-19th Century stuff. Although not a boutique hotel (rooms layouts are very traditional) the atmosphere is nevertheless distinctive and modern. All the rooms have flat screen TVs, wi-fi and internet, a fresh decor of chocolates and beiges, with crisp oak wood furniture and sleek bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable indeed. A nice touch is an internal etched window which allows natural light into the bathroom. Perhaps the best feature is the window - a floor-to-ceiling glass wall. From 12th floor I had excellent views, although this part of Manchester is interesting rather than scenic. Despite the presence of roads around, my room (12th floor) was very quiet - indeed the most intrusive noises were the air-conditioning (isn't it always?) and the bell for the lift nearby. I was less impressed with the main public areas: the three-storey foyer feels like an underfurnished corporate HQ, and the restaurant is so vast that it can't help but feel impersonal. But the bar on the 23rd floor ("Cloud 23") - whilst pricey - had the stupendous views you'd expect. It has extensive conference and business facilities, including a large theatre-style room. Service was fine, although my check-in was brusquely efficient rather than friendly, and the room, although very clean, wasn't quite spotless, which I expect for this kind of money. The breakfast was largely a self-service buffet, but perfectly good, with a chef to prepare fresh egg dishes and a decent vegetarian choice (including veggie sausages), and the service here was definitely more friendly and welcoming. The Deansgate area is still up-and-coming, with plenty of shops but rather less choice in the way of bars and restaurants. But the G-Mex metro (tram) stop adjacent to the hotel provides easy access to the rest of Manchester centre, and Deansgate railway station (100m) has direct trains to Manchester Piccadilly and the Airport. It's very well located for the G-Mex exhibition venue, and the office and entertainment development in the old Great Northern Goods Depot. So why only four stars? Well, a few things were missing for my £150 (especially as this is Manchester and not London or New York). No shop: so cards, gifts, and those odd toiletries or medicines you might need require a trip outside the hotel; the check-in was a little too brusque for my liking, and the area around is a bit dead at night. But, as a business hotel, it would be hard to fault. Packages, depending on availability and season, vary from £114 to £200 a night, per room. read more

Declaration time again, I didn't pay to come to the hotel so I'll not make any comments about the value but I do know it is a high-end hotel in Manchester. the building stands out on the Mancunian sky-line by being the 6th tallest building in the UK and apparently it has a sky-bar on the 23rd floor but I didn't get the chance (or have the desire) to stand on the glass floor and look down. The A-OK rating comes from the complicated design of the rooms and the usual hotel issue of lack of plugs. I travel as a photographer and I want about four or five plugs in a room to charge camera batteries, iPhone, iPad, laptop and flash batteries. The rooms only have three sockets available so it needed a few trips back to the room to switch around the charging devices. The biggest problem though was the number of light switches spread around the room, it becomes a guessing game to work out which switch controls which light and the master switch is very confusing in the morning when you are half asleep and can't work out how any light works! Breakfast was standard fare, mediocre cooked bacon, OK sausages and a selection of cakes and breads for the continental visitor. The rooms have a lovely decor and the beds are comfortable, but given this is probably a travellers hotel, I am not sure that it meets the need of people on the move. For instance, wi-fi, shouldn't be costing £14 a night in these days, give it away for free as an expected service. read more

I was debating whether to give a 3 star or 4 star for Hilton, mostly because I am not the biggest fan of chain Hotels. Well ... I will just go with 4 stars and the main reason for that being the spectacular view! I have not stayed at this particular Hilton but have stayed at the one in London so I imagine its not going to be very different, this is why I am not the biggest fan of chains -- because they are all the same! But I will have to say that Cloud 23 the lounge at Hilton is phenomenal when it comes to the view and whole ambiance and I really don't mind paying a bit extra for drinks there. The building also looks absolutely incredible from outside and definitely a landmark building in Manchester. The best thing about the building is, you can see it from everywhere in the city and if you get lost then you can just look at that and locate yourself (I have done that and trust me it works). I have tried the food and dessert menu at Cloud 23 and it was definitely good quality, not saying it's the best you will ever have but worth a shot! The atmosphere inside as you can imagine is very posh and sophisticated so definitely worth dressing up for. The service is fast and the staff are very polite and very well trained in hospitality. I wish I could take the staff at this hotel with me everywhere I visit. They are the most lovely people I think I have ever encountered at a hotel. I travel 70% of my time for my job. I exclusively stay at Hilton locations when I travel. From the moment we walked in the staff treated us like we were the only guests. My room was delayed (we were early) and we were provided with access to the Executive lounge. The lounge had an incredible view of Manchester and allowed us to wait in absolute comfort for our room - we almost asked to stay overnight in the lounge it was that good. As an apology for the problem they didn't create, as I mentioned - we were early - we received desserts. The desserts were wonderful and completely unexpected. I was visiting as a fun trip for my anniversary and each staff member greeted us with a hello and happy anniversary. It was the absolute best experience I have ever had at a hotel. I am planning to bring my niece next summer to see a Manchester United game and I cannot wait to stay here again! Arrived at the hotel and valet was full. Was given a room where the beds are extremely uncomfortable and the rooms are real small. The bathroom is decent size. But the toilet was placed at the wrong angle so is pretty uncomfortable I'm not really sure if the other rooms are the same that's why I've given a 3 star read more

I got to stay here for work, and sadly, I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the swimming pool. I also wasn't in an Executive Suite, which seems to guarantee a 5-star review. What I did get was a reasonably decent room, but with a nothing view. For what it cost I'd call it 3-star anyway, though to add insult to injury, the filtered Coffee you get with Breakfast is absolutely disgusting; literally the worst i've had anywhere outside the U.S., and I couldn't finish it. Will probably be reviewing a couple Hotels in Manchester with work (including the Hilton-owned Doubletree), so hopefully for better treatment elsewhere. read more

My boyfriend and I spent one glorious night here to celebrate our two year anniversary. It might seem unadventurous to not have travelled further a field but the lure of the four star credentials and bird's eye views were compounded by a half price offer and so we were sold! Unfortunately our room overlooked the roof of a neighbouring building and plumes of smoke billowing from its chimneys and I'm sure this had something to do with the reduced price. However this one glitch was remedied by taking the lift up to the twenty-somethingth floor where the views are truly breathtaking. They say that on a good day you can see the Blackpool Tower and athough we couldn't quite pinpoint this particular cult landmark, snow was visible on the peaks of the eponymous Peak District. The room was luscious and the bathroom had that Lost in Translation feel to it with its minimalist interior. One glance at the room service menu made us jump for joy that we'd taken the cautious steps to packing a picnic which, despite being from M&S, was infinitely cheaper than just one main course á la Hilton. The pool is located in the 'ridge' bit of the tower and is long and narrow in imitation of the skyscraper. It closes at 9pm and so there's plenty of time for an evening swim in the ever so slightly over-chlorinated water and ten minutes sweating out your toxins in the steam room and sauna. The breakfast is simply mind blowing and is served in a huge 1960s modernist inspired dining room. Pretty much everything you could possibly imagine wanting to eat for breakfast is available including full English, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, waffles and pastries. It's actually bliss and the best possible start to the day one can imagine. read more

Amazing building, and the big feature is the Cloud 23 (on 23rd floor) bar with near 360 degree views of Manchester. Sadly it's a bit of a tourist magnet at weekends which spoils it slightly for residents,however residents get priority access, others have to queue. and often the hotel has big functions on. Bit disappointed with the Hilton, me. I thought it was meant to be super fancy. I didn't realise it meant that when you stipulated a non-smoking room you got one that smelled of cigarettes and had lightbulbs missing from lamps. Having said that, the bed was very comfy, there was a speaker in the loo so I could hear what was going on on Come Dine With Me and it only cost £99. Still, charging £3.50 for a teensy bottle of water is a bit of a cheek, no matter where you are. And £4.50 for a pint. And what's with the massive queue to get in the only lift that'll take you up to the Cloud 23 Bar? I get that it's high up. I just don't get the hype. I think my experience was dampened by the poor-man's Justin Timberlake who accosted us on our way back down in the lift to ask if we thought his girlfriend should win X Factor (hic, sniff). In conclusion, then - the stay was ok. I don't think I a) am trendy enough or b) snort enough coke to really appreciate the Cloud 23 bar. read more

Stayed here during a weekend in Manchester. Very iconic building in Manchester so very excited about staying here. We had an executive room on the 22 floor and it was fine. I think the price might be a bit high for outside of London but being Londoncentric I felt that they well not so bad. Tastfully decorated, well appointed with seperate shower and bath, with comfy bed and chairs (still only one chairdo you think hotels will ever put two chairs in?...anyway) Staff were friendly and very helpful btw, and all areas very clean and bright. The best part of the stay though was free access to the executive floor - available only to those in the executive rooms. This bar is on the 23 floor on the other side of the cloud 23 bar. Same great view, but much quieter and free drinks and nibbles - we stayed for just over an hour and I have to say this made our weekend in mnachester! If you are staying, do think of upgrading its worth it! read more

Personally I find Hilton hotels to well overrated and dont live to the image they have today, but i havent actually stayed in a room here so can comment. I have been to two weddings here and its been pleansant. There is a restaurant on the top floor which has a fantastic view and lovely coktails! Great hotel! We sadly just stayed for 1 night and had an executive room, which was on one of the top floors. The interior design was beautiful and it was so clean you could have eaten of the floor. We had access to the executive lounge too, which made us feel like royalty. The service was outstanding and the food was heavenly. And do you know what? It didn't even cost very much, actually I just had to pay £29 on top as the rest was paid for with my Tesco vouchers! If we ever go to Manchester again, I know where we'll be staying! read more

Stayed here last week whilst on business in Manchester. The hotel was easy to find and was met by a really helpful and friendly porter who told me that I could park around the corner for less money than the hotel would charge me for parking my car. He took all my bags out of my boot so I wouldn't have to lug them round to the hotel once I'd parked up and had them delivered up to my room. My room was clean and spacious and had everything I needed in it. Although an opening window for a bit of fresh air would have been nice, but that was always going to be a challenge at 14 storeys high! Room service was good and prompt and the breakfasts which I had served in the restaurant were plentiful and of a very good standard. The hotel staff were all courteous and helpful and remembered my name which was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend, even though the location isn't great if you want to be in the heart of the shopping area. read more

Before you even reach the suburbs of Manchester you can see Hilton Tower dominating the skyline, stood proud and tall as if welcoming all to the city centre. Hilton Tower is sheer class and one of Manchester's treasures which should be appreciated by the inhabitants of our wonderful city and those who appreciate visiting us. The service and food is what you would expect from such a hotel and more and more. It appeared a little pretentious but I soon came to realise that everybody was star struck with the sheer elegance and beauty of the building. My partner and I decided on going to Manchester for the weekend and having been before I knew the Deansgate area is the place to be for nice bars and restaurants. We looked at many hotels and although the Hilton was in the higher price range, we always have wanted to stay in it because of the good views and location. The hotel staff were friendly, check in took 2 mins and off we were to our bedroom. The room was a decent size with a double bed and flat screen t.v . I had pre asked for non feather pillows & duvets due to my allergy problems and I was delighted to find out my request had been met. The only downfalls were lack of towels in bathroom, and a very squeaky bed. Aircon was amazing as it was 27 degrees outside that weekend. read more

Swam in lap pool looking down through windows into the hotel kitchen watching staff prep meals, thought that was strange, why the kitchen? LOL Maybe so you can decide what to eat for breakfast after your workout. The staff were very accomodating, the breakfast area was roomy and they even had wheatgrass which was a nice extra. Maybe it is because we had a special occasion on, but we really had an amazing experience at this Hilton. So far, of the ones I have stayed at in the UK... this has to be my favourite. Prior to our stay, we were in Manchester running errands, so Mr. Snarky mentioned that we should drop into the Hilton and see if they can book a special rate for us. The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the revolving door that just reminds me of all the frustration of trying to get in and out of Morrisons and someone decides to take a trolly in and causes all sorts of trouble! Not to mention, with bags and wearing a wedding dress, it wasn't particularly friendly. There was a manager that assisted us and he was wonderful! So we didn't really get a special rate... Mr. Snarky is part of their rewards program and gets free upgrades, but when we told them that we would be staying there for our wedding he booked us for the 22nd floor with beautiful views over the city. On the eve of our wedding, we arrived and had an easy check in. The staff gave us a few different options for parking which were quite helpful as we really didn't have any idea of where to park. When we got to the room, it was gorgeous! The staff told us since we had the two rooms at the end, they could block off the hallway so our rooms could be 'connected', making it convenient to go back and forth while getting ready. There was a plate of sweets as well as 'Welcome' written in chocolate on the plate. The room was really spacious, enough room for our suitcases and bags, but still able to walk around. Our view over Manchester was absolutely lovely, not to mention sunrise on our wedding day was beautiful! The bed was so comfortable... a bit sad that I didn't get to have a lie in because it was so nice! There is a mini-fridge stocked with items, but careful, you'll get charged a hefty price for moving anything in there... as our friends found out. There was a lovely tea and coffee tray with a nice selection of tea and even two sachets of Cadbury Hot Chocolate mix! there was also a mending kit, which normally I pay no attention to, but it came in handy because I ended up with a hole in my skirt (not the wedding dress). While we received complimentary wifi access, I'm not sure that is the case for every customer, so keep that in mind. The bathroom was quite nice with a separate shower and bathtub... even a phone! We did try out the executive lounge, open between 6 and 8 p.m. for canapes and drinks. It is right next door to Cloud 23, without the wait. Again, lovely view and in front of the area with drinks and food, there is a spot where you can look down and see through the floor. I was expecting a larger area to be see-through, but it is just a small oval... probably for the best as I walked around it because I just a bit doubtful of it. Canapes and drinks are self-service, with choices of hot and cold canapes, even vegetarian ones. They have coffee, tea, non-alcoholic beverages, bottles of beer, red and white wine, and yes, even some hard liquor. So for those of you looking for a glass of scotch or a gin and tonic, you can enjoy one looking over the skyline. The only issue we had was that when we went to check out, the staff member ask for Mr. Snarky's card for payment. However, we were under the impression that the rate the manager booked us on was a pay-in-advance rate which was cheaper, but meant we would lose the money we paid if we had to cancel. So we were a bit confused. Mr. Snarky paid, but we did check his credit card statement later to make sure that we weren't charged twice. Other than that, it was such a great experience, especially for our wedding and I wouldn't mind staying here again! read more

Oof. I feel like I'm the neighbour banging on the door and coming in to whinge about the noise at the party, calling the police and complaining that there's all kinds of commotion. Everyone on Yelp seems to love it. To be fair, the Hilton is a thoroughly solid hotel, and a couple of nights here wouldn't cause you any stress, but lord above. *How* many things were wrong with Room 814? Yep, I capitalised Room to give it that Room 101 vibe, deal with it. Firstly, the view. Now I know the Hilton can't change what Manchester looks like, I'm not completely stupid, but a newbie visiting our fair city for the first time stuck in Room 814 would be vastly disappointed. One side of the Hilton building seems to showcase Manchester's worst bits, from the overflowing skips to the bit of car park and tatty green roof. Yeuch. Secondly, and this is just on principle, but proudly displaying a £3.95 bottle of water on the side table, inviting guests to drink it and make a severe dent in their room bill, is just ludicrous. What kind of opulence do they think they're dealing with here? It's only Deansgate. Thirdly, 814's clock was an hour slow and there seemed to be no way to fix this. Reception was notified, concierges were called to no avail, it was a complete mystery... until the daylight savings button was discovered underneath. Quoi? However to apologise for said debacle, a free bottle of wine was sent. Now that's nice. But fourthly, the air-con managed to trip off after ten minute bursts. Right. Waking up stuck to duvet...? I'm a bit confused as to the lack of wifi. It's a hotel where lots of busy business types do business, so surely conference rooms should have some kind of free set-up? Nope, it's the dreaded BT Openzone. *Facepalm* And nothing is available in the rooms at all, except a heart attack-inducingly priced ethernet cable. Tip: hop over to nearby Atlas, they have free wifi there instead. The beds, albeit firm, are quite comfortable and to be fair the rooms themselves and bathrooms within are spacious enough. Actually I'm not sure about the others, but despite its faults, Room 814 certainly was. The Hilton's definitely a good bet if you'd like to stay central, you couldn't be more conveniently located and - well, if the company's right, then anywhere feels awesome doesn't it. read more

Our friends from the States were visiting Manchester and they were staying at the Manchester Hilton Deansgate, so of course we had to go in and take a look! They were staying in one of plush executive rooms on the tops floors, The rooms were amazing and had awesome views of the City Centre from the floor to ceiling huge windows, the rooms were modern and bright and the beds were super comfy! If you book the executive rooms you do get access to the executive lounge on the 23rd floor which is the other side of Cloud 23, The lounge was amazing with huge floor to ceiling windows with the most stunning views of Manchester. There was loads of seating available with plush arms chairs and mini tables, The lounge offers complimentary Wine, beer, softs drinks and liquor, and also mini nibbles which was lovely. the staff we encountered was really friendly and was always asking if we needed anything. i was impressed! If i was to stay in a Hilton around the world i would pay the bit extra for the executive rooms as they do offer a lot more! From the beginning of our stay, there was an issue. We had arrived from Paris around 7pm and were told that someone had already checked into our rooms under my friends name and were using products from the mini bar and had checked in almost 6 hours before we had arrived. Trying to find another room took quite long as well and trying to figure that whole situation out was ridiculous. Not to mention we went to a wedding a couple days later and the bride and groom were meant to stay here as well but somehow had an issue and had to be sent to a different hotel, on their wedding night because of some issue. Manchester's most iconic building, The Hilton Hotel is a great place to stay or have a meal or a cocktail. Split across 23 floors, the Hilton really is impressive with some lovely rooms, a great conference suite and some great places to eat and drink. The rooms are spacious, light and nicely designed with a modern but cosy feel. Prices are pretty expensive but you do get a great service and some lovely extras. There is a spa and a gym and a good range of rooms from the basic to a deluxe suite. The hotel offers all the standard extras and some lovely toiletries in the bathrooms. read more

Before you read this review i must warn you that it is going to be overly biased.....................no i'm not Paris Hilton's long lost older brother and thus are next in line for the Hilton Fortune. I'll start with on Dec 25th while on a night shift i decided to buy a late christmas present for my partner which was x2 tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera at the local Palace Theatre. I then decide wouldn't it be nice for once if instead of being able to enjoy a drink (due to having to pick up our daughter either later that night or later on the next morning) and also not go home early (taxi back home after 12am = £30 and last train at 2300). I had then decided to stay over the night in the wonderful city. I searched and search and decided what the hell lets stay at the Hilton recommended for its great views of the city. Prices were steep but it didn't matter we were making it a special night. I stumped up the £175 a night price for a Executive Plus room due to it having a Jacuzzi (remember this was a special night). Roll on April and we arrive at the Hilton and go to book in. "Good afternoon Mr. Chadwick" said the very smart dressed man behind the check-in counter. Now i must state that as soon as we walked in we were impressed. We had never been to a Hilton Hotel. "Did you receive your phone call Mr. Chadwick" ? i started to worry, "oh what if something has gone wrong " "no i haven't, why is there a problem" The man starts clicking away on the keyboard very quickly and then stops and looks at us with a big smile. "you have been upgraded sir" "oh" i say "thats nice" "yes we have put you in the £1200 a night Presidential Suite" (see i told you i was going to be biased) The room was amazing, situated under Cloud 23 which meant the views were amazing. The room stretched the full length of Deansgate (not the actual street, but the hotels length), so i had amazing views of either end of Manchester North & South. The room included x3 bathrooms, x2 of them had walk-in showers. x2 Bedrooms with plasma tv's x1 dining room with wall hung plasma tv x1 business room x1 lounge with leather couches and plasma tv we also had access to the executive lounge which gave free soft drinks till 1900 and then free alcohol till 2100 and also got to the front of the line entry to cloud 23 which was a little expensive drink wise. An amazing experience thanks to the people at the Hilton and the kind thought of giving us the £1200 a night room for £175. Breakfast was the usual breakfast, Cereals and then hot food like Eggs (Scrambled), Sausage, Beans etc, I was a little disappointed with the breakfast as i remember going to a Marriott in Preston where the breakfast was amazing (waffles anyone ?) As we where in the "Presidential Suite" we had our breakfast in the Executive Lounge which gave great views of a sunny morning in Manchester. It didn't have a Jacuzzi tho ! read more

Conveniently located by the Deansgate train terminals. Clean, comfortable, modern rooms with a helpful and friendly staff. The executive lounge has a decent breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

This is a baeutifully decorated hotel. Pricey to say the least but worth it if you can afford. the views are breathtaking as the hotel is so high. Easy to spot too is your in Manchester and get lostjust look up! read more

Love it or loathe it the Hilton is certainly eye-catching. Cloud 23 is the much talked about bar on, you got it, the 23rd floor. The bouncers to the express lift can sometimes be somewhat of a jobsworth, but once you get to the bar you can't deny it offers you some of the most stunning views across the city. The layout and décor are lovely in my opinion, and the waitress service for your drinks if you have a table, is not exactly needed, but a pleasant service. However if you plan on drinking alcohol then you better remortgage first. read more

I am surprised by so many being pleased by the staff. After a day of traveling I arrived early and was told housekeeping had started so hopefully check back at 11. Then a bit of a different front desk person proceeded to tell me check in is 15:00. Yes I understand but there was no reason to be rude. Why not say you could advise when a room is ready but no promises it would be sooner than check in? Why simply be a jerk to a weary traveler. The hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast downstairs while waiting wonderful. Too bad front desk had to ruin the rest. read more

A fantastic hotel and great bar at the night time. The building is huge-the tallest in Manchester and a great place to go celeb spotting! They serve great cocktails but the atmosphere is a little pretentious. Recommended. read more

A great building that puts Manchester, deservedly, on the international architectural map. It also has that silly bar that is cavernous, has a glass floor but is largely empty because of fire-safety restrictions. A shame really. read more

After spending a few nights at a 4 star hotel in chester, we then stayed at the hilton in manchester as we were going out there. luckly we had paid discount rate so around the 69 pound mark. the spa section was awful. tiny pool, and sauna and steam, shower to use when you came out of the showere and steam was broke, no changing cubicles just a samll wooden bech everyone was cramped on. the rooms had a great view but thats it, the dressing table was set up so that the small light that were in the room were nowhere near it so you couldnt see anything and the showere kept twisting to the side when on. not impressed, wouldnt stay again. read more
