I have been coming to Manchester for many years and have lost count the number of times I've stayed in a hotel in the city.
Whilst there are some decent properties in the city, none seem to have that sense of fun and in a purely complimentary way, quirkiness. That is until now....
The Innside Manchester, located under the arches, not a stones throw away from Deansgate Metro Station, is a delightful hotel.
Initially I did wonder, is this my hotel?, a red brick box, but open the pages and inside (pardon the pun), you get excellent service from a truly professional and dedicated team that really care about their work and moreover their guests.
The rooms are spotless, well kept, have plug sockets by the bed (10/10 for the person that thought this one through), are very comfortable and the beds afford a superb night's sleep (my first night anywhere is always a chore, but not here).
Whilst it didn't bother me in the least, as I sleep alone, you ought to be aware of the bathroom layout. Well, they are open plan to room. On one side you have the shower, but the door opens into the bedroom area. Don't worry though, the toilet has a door on it, so you aren't required to show all, or be on view to passing traffic. The sink opens on to the bedroom and you dry yourself after a shower in "public", but living alone, I have no worries. Once you can leave this one behind, you'll have no problems.
Room amenities are great. Tea/coffee making facilities, a stocked minibar with cola, orange juice and water (two of each), come as complimentary! Iron and ironing board, flat screen multi channel tv, free wifi (which is reliable, works perfectly and is fast).
Bathroom amenities in the form of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc, plus razor, toothbrush etc, mean a huge amount and saves taking things with you.
Hotel facilities such as a steam room and sauna, exercise room with weights and bikes, make this a hotel worth so much more.
The restaurant is good, with some great food. It is pricey, and sometimes needs a magnifying glass to find it, but if you like "Nouvelle Spanish" food, then you are going to be happy. There are other restaurants within easy reach, so you won't go hungry..
With regards to breakfast, just one word says it all, IMPRESSIVE!
In my humble opinion, definitely the best ever in the UK, definitely exceeds anything in the USA, similar to Europe (in a very positive way, but then you have Spanish & German influences at the Innside Manchester, so hardly surprising). There is a huge array of food on offer, which is constantly replenished.
It's a buffet affair, but you can order fried and poached eggs (scrambled eggs are on the buffet). I ordered the poached eggs, which were done to perfection.
The breakfast team will look after your needs down to the very last thing. Ask and you will get the assistance.
My advice is to stay at the Innside Manchester and enjoy your stay!
I'll be back again, for sure. Oh, and if you see Winston, give him a pat and have a selfie with him. read more
