i have just moved to woking and i found out i was pregnant, i went to register with them, tenancy agreement was not good enough, they wanted utility bill, i did tell them that it will be a month until i get one, anyway.. i went to the bank and i got a letter from them. So i filled in the form, they said it will take up to 3 days, 3 days later i call them, i am not in the system, i told them i am pregnant, the lady on the phone said '' whats the rush? you are probably less then 8 weeks pregnant' how would she know how long i was pregnant? and i feel like pregnancy is not a big deal in this center. Anyway i called them next day, and the day after, still nothing.. obviously pregnancy is not a reason to register me within few days, they did say that they were really busy, and they have many application forms, so one lady, probably she got fed up with me calling everyday, but i do appreciate that she took my name and next day i was in the system. To book an appointment you have to call 2 days before, i called to book an appointment, she just booked it!! she didn't give me a chance to ask question or anything, when i hung up the phone i couldn't understand who am i having appointment with, so i googled that i dont need to see gp, i just need to see my midwife, i called them again, i said i don't know who is my appointment with, she said its with a doctor, i said i need a midwife, then she asked where am i giving birth. I was so confused, i don't even know if my baby is ok yet, i dont even know my options, thats why i was looking forward to see my midwife, because i have all these questions, receptionist said that they dont want to waist 20 minutes if i am not choosing ST. Peters WAIST ( what a word) so i had to tell them ok, ST. Peters then, or i wouldn't get an appointment again. So far I am really disapointed, i know it is just another pregnant patient for them, but i wish i could feel a little bit safer, at the moment i feel that i will not be looked after as i should be, i just hope that i will like my midwife, so then i will stick with this center, if not i will have to look for something else, but getting to see a doctor when you pregnant should not be so complicated, reception stuff surely needs to behave nicer, i know they have to work hard, but they should give a second to ask what i want to ask, i feel that when i call they just want to hang up ASAP. read more
