I stopped here after checking out of the Holiday Express inn and this gas station is open early on a Sunday morning. They have a full convenience store. They have several islands with gas pumps and they also have diesel. The person working there that morning was very friendly. Hilltop Valero - Car Wash Near Me - Redding, California

It's been a while since I've written a review, but I have to share my recent experience at the Valero gas station on Hilltop (likely Hilltop Valero at Cypress and Hilltop Dr.). I called to ask about their propane services--specifically, what time they stop filling tanks. The employee was extremely rude from the start and hung up on me multiple times when I called back to get a clear answer. This is unacceptable and reflects very poor customer service. I ended up taking my business elsewhere. I hope management addresses this, as no one should be treated that way. 1/5 stars - won't be returning. read more

The young man behind the counter is so rude and disrespectful to my wife, and to me on the two separate occasions talks loud on his earpiece in Arabic, and he just flat out rude. I will never ever go there again shame on him. read more

So the employee is exceptionally rude. Despite purchasing gas and despite him still being open and taking money from other customers, he would not allow use of the bathroom because he had just cleaned it. It's 1055, so obviously he is closing up and leaving early. As I'm sitting here, he is welcoming yet another customer into the store. As noted by another customer is the price on the sign on the corner versus the price that was on the pump are two different things. I would definitely not recommend. read more

Rude employee, pumped gas and asked to use the restroom, when done (5 minutes later) and took the key back he was complaining that I took too long and he had to turn down customers. There was literally no one in the store, not sure why he was complaining unless he had to use it himself. read more

Don't come here. Owner is very rude and physically grabbed my a cup out of my mothers hand and told her no more after pouring out a flat soda and proceeded to yell at her and tell her she can't buy anymore fountain drinks, even though she was just getting a cup of ice. He proceeded to argue and throw the cup in the trash. We were planning on buying more from this store but we will NEVER be coming back. Hope the owner will see this and fire this god awful employee. This behavior is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable and is right on par with the rest of the reviews for this place. read more

came here for a gas today (july 6, 2023 @3pm) the employee didnt really bother helping me was very busy on his phone watching porn. Very disgusting. I asked for my receipt after my payment and he just looked at me and throw the receipt on the counter I was about to fight this guy. whoever owns this business better hire a dedicated employee. VERY RUDE ASSAULTIVE EMPLOYEE - While my husband was filling the tank, I went inside to purchase fountain drinks. The soda was flat. I tested it before I even got the cup filled and then had to pour it out. I was not going to pay for flat soda. I filled the cup up with another beverage, and then proceeded to get another cup of ice only. Before I could finish getting the cup of ice the employee ran over to me shouting "what did you do! No, no no!!!" pointing at the dumped out ice/soda draining properly. I tried to explain the soda was flat. He pulled the cup of ice from my hand and told me I was done in his store; to pay for the already filled cup and leave!!???? I asked if I could get the cup of ice for a cold case beverage. He told me NO and continued to be aggressively RUDE.. I could buy a beverage in a can, but no ice. WTH. My son witnessed the entire thing. Another man came in and asked about the pumps tap-and-pay. He yelled at him too! I refused to get anything further from that store at that point. I took my "soda" to the counter where I had to ask him 3 times how much I owed. He finally said $1.75. I threw 2 bucks and a few choice words at him, then left. Avoid this place. read more

Gas was 10 cents cheaper than anywhere else I had seen in the past fifty miles. Clean bathrooms. A car wash to scrub the dead bugs from my windshield if I so desired. And the gal behind the counter was able to direct me to an internet cafe 'WiFi thing.' read more

No open toilets for men or women. No explanation and could care less after just filling up

I parked to go and get something from the smoke shop that is located in the same parking lot. to chill the fuck out after a long day. I bought my stuff and then went next door asking the Valero guy if he had any tape or anything I could buy because my car had recently been broken into and I was just trying to tape the window. My girlfriend was sitting by the car to make sure no one tried stealing more stuff from my car. The guy starts yelling at me saying I can't park there for more then 20 mins when I was only there for 10 talking to the cops on the phone about my car.. I couldn't understand when he was saying so I kept asking him excuse me I don't understand and he just kept getting madder and madder. He had a very strong accent and kept referring to me as "boss" like we don't have tape "boss". You can't be parked there "boss". I then asked if he has cardboard or anything out back I could borrow and proceeds to yell at me in front of other people in the store. I could not understand him at that point. I tried apologizing and that made him more mad. I then asked for his name and he yelled I'm the boss and you can't do anything or something around those lines. Idk what the dudes deal was but once my girlfriend caught wind of what was going down she got super mad and flicked him off and knocked on the window. I did not approve of that behavior but once that happened the Valero guy came out with a mop stick and hit my car with it. After everything that has happened Today this was the cherry on top. On Saturday night I ran out of propane and so because I know they will fill tanks late at night I drove to town to get tank filled. They have always been so nice and never told me they can't fill my tank. So I go in and the guy behind counter who was playing on his phone tells me no he won't fill my tank, they dont fill them after 4:00. Now I have been there as Kate as 1:30 am and the man who usually is there has never told me no not after 4:00. So I asked him why and since when and he said I just can't. I am sure it was because he was to lazy to get off his ass and do his job and whatever he was doing on his phone!! Not good business and I will not go back and he is gonna cost the owner alot of business. read more

Bait and switch. Not sure if its a regular thing or not but gas prices listed on the corner are not what they charge you. As of today the listed price is 2.63$ which would make them the cheapest. However they charge 2.71 which as of current prices makes them the highest in town. Its not a big deal but its misleading. Besides that station is clean and well staffed. Near the highway. read more

Gas pumps need to be recalibrated. No way I had room for 11 gallons! Also bathroom was very dirty and smelled of urine. Had "out of order" sign on door, but the guy let me use it. That was nice. I had the impression the guy didn't want to clean it, so put "out of order" sign on door. Won't be back. read more
