The staff was great with the kids and my students had a blast. They have a number of runs to use and plentynof staff to ensure safety of the participants. They show a safety video and debrief expectations before tubing begins. In addition to vending machines they also have an alehouse on top to order food and drink. The food is on the expensive side and they only sell combos (ex: burger with fries grilled cheese with soup). Students and staff definitely had a good time and would definitely go visit again.

The slopes move pretty fast and it's a great time for all ages. We roasted marshmallows and had a picnic by the fire pit as the sun went down making it a great date Our only issue was we checked in for our fire pit at 4 and the maintenance team didn't get it lit until 4:25 (and that's after we called back).

We got here Saturday at 10 AM right when they open and the place was a little busy at first and then pretty busy probably like 50 people total (parents with kids - there was a bday party) But there are still a lot of space to move around with parents and the kids. I was able to interact with her on pretty much everything going up and down the slide climbing ropes, playing with giant Legos and the ball pit. it was so much fun. Our niece is 2 and the big kids were super respectful of her speed on the larger equipment. This place is socks only and it was super clean! Our white socks were still pretty white when we got home. Staff was very friendly!

We enjoyed al the wonderful decorations of the boats and had a lovely time. I was starting to panic a bit since all the stores were closed and we all needed to use the restroom but we found a public restroom in the parking lot area. Thank goodness they have that. We came from an hour away and it was difficult to find a restroom around. Overall we had an amazing time.

We visited today to celebrate my 9-year-old daughter's birthday, and what should have been a fun…read morefamily experience turned into a very frustrating situation because of one employee. While we were there, I decided I wanted to surprise my older daughter with a new pair of skates. I asked an employee what skates they had available in the back, and they asked me what size she needed. I walked over to my older daughter, who was near the skate rental area, and asked her what size she wore. She couldn't hear me the first time, so I asked again. Out of nowhere, a female employee approached us and started lecturing my daughter about how she shouldn't be talking to her dad that way or using that tone of voice. She had absolutely no understanding of our conversation or the situation, yet felt the need to insert herself into a private interaction between a father and his daughter. She continued going on about it until I finally put my arms out in a gesture that clearly meant "enough." I didn't say anything, but at that point, I was beyond frustrated with how she was treating my daughter. Then, to make matters worse, she noticed my daughter's zipper was down and started making additional comments about how they couldn't have her walking around like that. **At what point did it become acceptable for an employee at a family entertainment business to lecture someone else's child over a conversation they weren't even part of?** We came to celebrate a birthday, spend money, and enjoy time together as a family. I was literally trying to purchase another pair of skates as a surprise for my daughter. I have no problem with employees enforcing rules or addressing legitimate safety concerns, but there is a difference between doing your job and unnecessarily inserting yourself into someone else's parenting. What should have been a great birthday memory was overshadowed by an employee who seriously overstepped her boundaries. Very disappointing experience, especially at a business that caters to children and families.

We parked at the visitors center and went inside to use the facilities prior to our hike. It's a cute visitors center with historical information about the area, the wildlife, and trees. They also sell trinkets, magnets, bug spray, etc. The rangers are always cordial and will answer any questions you may have. They have a charging station!!!! This was clutch as I drove my EV this time. It's free and had me charged and ready to go by the end of my hike. We hiked up to Wolf Rock, Chimney Rock, and back. The trails are rated (if you have the All Trails app and/or based on the map). I'd say this hike was moderate. It's mostly shaded which is nice. There weren't too many insects, but you should apply insect repellent nontheless. They have several other trails. This one was a bit over 3 miles, but the full loop connects all the trails. I would like to make it to Cunningham Falls. This is a great option for me as I live in Maryland. The trails are clean, litter free so take your trash with you. Come check it out!

Catoctin Mountain Park Visitor Center -- A Quiet Gateway to the Mountains…read more Tucked into the scenic hills of Frederick County near Thurmont, the Catoctin Mountain Park Visitor Center is a great starting point for exploring one of Maryland's more serene outdoor escapes. It's part of Catoctin Mountain Park, a federally managed park offering about 25 miles of hiking trails, plus camping and trout fishing. Worth noting: it's separate from nearby Cunningham Falls State Park, so plan accordingly if you're trying to hit both. We stopped by on a brisk, sunny weekday and were rewarded with light crowds and a peaceful atmosphere. There was some noticeable truck traffic passing through the area--turns out much needed road improvements are underway--but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The visitor center itself is on the smaller side but well maintained and thoughtfully curated. Informational displays, posters, and plaques highlight the region's history--from its Native inhabitants to the communities that later shaped life in these mountains. It's a nice touch that adds depth before you hit the trails. Inside, you can find maps, books, and a modest gift shop selection. The park rangers were approachable and knowledgeable, offering helpful updates on trail conditions and access points. Bonus points for clean restrooms and a convenient place to refill your water bottle before heading out. For the youngsters in your group. Don't forget to join the Junior Ranger program and get your booklet stamped! Fun way to get kids excited to visit and appreciate the many beautiful National Parks in our country throughout their lifetime! Whether you're gearing up for a hike or just passing through, this is a solid place to get oriented, learn a bit of history, and soak in the surrounding natural beauty.

Once you're in the maze itself, Crumland does not disappoint! Each setting is really well done and worth the cheap price for entry. There are also three haunted options total - haunted cornmaze, hayride, and asylum. We also did the normal cornmaze - quite fun but not as good as the haunted maze. There are also a lot of activities to do beyond the paid attractions. This is a great farm for a fall activity, will definitely go back next year to try a different haunt.

Two of the six or eight pedal buggies were working. As was the water for the 'duck race' (which was kinda pointless, anyway). The kids could feed the goats, which they enjoyed. Too bad none of the faucets worked and all the hand sanitizer was gone. The trash all over the ground really added to the experience. After pointing all this out, the person at the gate just shrugged their shoulders. They may as well have been wearing masks and taken money at gunpoint. Never again.

There's no charge to enter the station and every so often real trail rangers come in and talk about the trail conditions. The staff all know every answer to the questions with detail and live conditions of the trail 2-3 times a day. Get the feel and natural hit of it all- and while you are there buy some ATC merchandise OR make a donation for the trail OR DO BOTH! All the proceeds benefit the trail! It's free to enter and enjoy the store and map room and that's a great price! It's a worthy national treasure to support this one!

Great place to stop if you are beginner or experienced hiker…read more They have tons of resources available for you...from restrooms, to places to refill your water, to books, and a lunge for hikers. You can take a break and look through thousands of pictures of hikers who have completed the Appalachian trail or you can chat with one of the volunteers about their experiences. Either way, you will leave with more knowledge than you had when you got here!!! We will be back once we have completed the trail!!!
