Both Dr. Chen and Dr. Montane are so amazing. I have a lot of work to get done, but everyone here made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. My hygienist Jackie was an absolute angel with my cleaning! She talked me through the whole thing and kept my mind at ease. Cathy was also awesome during my root canal. & I can't say enough about how kind and comforting Teri is. I am so happy my whole family and I are patients here. read more

The hours are posted, just be aware if you book the 7:00 am Friday appointment online , you'll most likely be waiting in front of the door for 30 minutes unless you get to appointments 10 minutes early like I do then you are lucky enough to wait around for 25-30 minutes es as the staff makes their way past you to get in and don't acknowledge you standing in front of the door. It will though it's 1:3u and the door is still locked and the blinds are closed and the two people I saw go in don't answer the phone. I have no idea how the actual dentistry is but the service thus far has been literally non-existent. I've called no-answer, just went on their website site and it now says they open at 8. Wtf is going on???? read more

Dr. Chan takes the time to explain the full process, giving you alternative options to consider as well. This is a wonderful practice given that all procedures are not the same. With my emergency this past Sunday, he called me back a few hours later that night receiving my urgent message when the office was closed. That's true dedication to his patients! Went in once for some dental work before the rename (which I thought was good) and now they have someone from their office that keeps sending me the "you have an appointment at date X at time Y" (pretty sure they have a number spam list) - said I did not schedule an appointment with them and told them to remove the appointment. Did this twice. Yet they keep sending me text messages saying I have an appointment. I'm not interested yet they keep spamming my text message inbox. read more

Had my second visit there and I'm very pleased with the service. The personnel and dentist are all very friendly, personable, efficient, and do a great job. Dr. Chan was a delight to have as my dentist. read more

I had an excellent experience at Hillside Smiles & Co. The whole team is very friendly and professional. My wisdom tooth was extremely difficult to extract because I cannot open my mouth widely. Most other doctors had referred me to a surgeon for further operation. Before coming here as an emergency patient, I was very worried I would be referred again while suffering from severe pain. But Dr. Chan and his team accepted me right away, treated me with great kindness, and tried their very best for me. Dr. Chan handled my case with exceptional skill -- something ordinary doctors could not manage. I am so thankful for all of their care and professionalism. From now on, I will go to this clinic for all of my dental needs. Highly recommended! read more

If you're looking for a reliable and consistent dentist, look no further. A dentist that makes you feel welcome and is knowledgeable with their trade is a plus. And Dr. Montane is up to date with his credentials (ADA, CDA and the county dental society--stickers on his door!) His establishment is situated in the heart of Fremont l; next door to a park, library, police station and about a mile away, freeways of 880 and 237. I've been going to Dr. Montane's practice since I first moved to Fremont back in 2013 and throughout the years I've moved to different cities, I always remembered to come back for a dental visit with Dr. Montane. From getting chrome retainers made, routine visits and then my last procedure with the gum tissue graft, Dr. Montane is the only one I trust with my dental work. The most recent procedure, I literally avoided having done for two years and after all was said and done now that I'm a month into a successful recovery, it's like it never happened in the first place. The most painful part of the procedure had to be the administration of the lidocaine, and everything else was pretty smooth. I did not feel any pain in the beginning, during and after my gum tissue graft procedure from a month ago. This dentist does live up to his motto, "no pain with Dr. Montane!" If you're looking for a good and the only dentist you could trust with your teeth, Dr. Montane is the one and will not disappoint you. read more

I am really grateful to the people who work at this office. I was between insurances when I had a painful dental emergency. My new insurance was scheduled to start in a week or two, but I was in so much pain, I couldn't wait. Montane and his staff made a few appointments to keep me as comfortable and pain free as possible. They worked quickly and were super friendly and supportive during the whole ordeal. We came up with a financial plan that I was very comfortable with. read more

I was looking for an emergency DDS I came upon Montane dental care. I got the same day appointment. When they found out the pain I was in they made definitely some moves to make sure I was not leaving that office in the pain I came in with. From the time I walked in the door there was a feeling I was priority. The staff in the back was the same over 5 star treatment. Dr. Montane was the best. Although I was so nervous was waiting to get the riot act about how long It's been since I went to the dentist. He did the opposite he just wanted me to long feel any pain. FYI Dr. Montane called me himself the day after to check that I was feeling better. Not his staff but he took time out to call me. That had NEVER happened to me. Usually they get my insurance money the end. Trust me my husband will be getting his cleaning there. Anyone else who would like to have a DDS who cares beyond the office visit. read more

Dr.Montane and his staff are absolutely wonderful. I have had extremely bad dental anxiety for most of my life, and avoided the dentist until things got too bad to ignore. Well, I will no longer be doing that. For the first time in my life I have had a beyond pleasant experience at the dentist and probably would not have avoided the dentist if all my experiences were this good. My husband and I drive 5 hours just to see Dr. Montane and it could not be more worth it. read more

First time to have work done. Dr Montane was so nice and put me at ease. I get very dizzy when I'm laid so far back. The staff got me a pillow and after the work was done, Dr. Montane took the time to raise me back up slowly. First time in all the times I've been in a dental chair, I did not get dizzy. He told me everything he was doing and was so gentle I highly, highly recommend this dentist. read more

I recently this past year starting going to Dr. Montane Dental Care, and I'm very happy with the dental work I've had done. He's given me back my smile and it feels great again. I honestly believe and trust in his advise on what is the best outcome for what I need to have done to my teeth issues. I needed a bottom denture, he made and did an unusual denture so that I could still save the few teeth I had left on the bottom. I'm really happy with what he did for me. Also, he is such a nice dentist, as well as his staff, so very nice all of them. To be honest, I've seen and been to many other dentist in my life, and I must say he is the best I've seen, wish I had found him long time ago. Appointments are very accommodating too. read more

I absolutely cannot thank them enough. My son awoke with a tooth abscess. His usual dentist and orthodontist are closed Fridays. It was very swollen, infected, and painful. Dr. Montane's office was the only one in town open at 7 am. I called and they fit him in. Within 3 hours of calling, my son's tooth was extracted and he is on the mend. I am forever grateful to them and will be going back from now on. Their office hours beat out any other dentist I've seen so far, and they were so caring, kind, and personable yet professional. Hillside Smiles - Pediatric Dentists Near Me - Fremont, California

I have bad teeth and have had a lot of dental work done over the years. Dr. Montane is the worst dentist I have ever tried. I was referred to him by my neighbors, who love him. I wanted to find someone close to my house. His work was sloppy and he was rough. The crown (a replacement for an old crown) he put on did not fit. My cheek hurt, where he gave me my shot, for several weeks after he did the work, bad enough to take Advil for the pain for over a week - I have never had that experience before. When I had the crown redone by another dentist, he found decay under the new crown. I drive out to Saratoga now, even though I live in Fremont, just because I have a very good dentist out there. I also spent time in the waiting area, listening to the staff check charts, see if there was dental insurance left, then call people to get them to come in. read more

I'm writing this review as I am sitting in the dentist chair now. I have only been a patient since last year (3rd visit now) and has since recently became a mom. I didn't want to cancel my appt. so I asked my dad to come w me so that he can watch my son while I'm in this chair. Well, after my teeth got cleaned, I asked if I could check on them in the lobby so I did... It was just for a brief moment (bc I knew I was next for the Dr) but when I walked back, he went to the next patient. Ok, really?!? You couldn't have walked a short distance to come get me? That's what I thought would happen, someone would let me know to come back. It's a small office, where would I have gone?!? well, I'm sitting here now wasting my time waiting for him. Time is sooo extremely more precious to me eversince I've become a mom & this just really sucks. I can't even begin to express how frustrated I am. He went to a patient after me who needed to do fillings and other work... I am simply here for my checkup and should be in and out! That lady should've waited until after I was done. Yes, he's a nice guy and good conversationalist while being tended to, but I guess I took for granted that it's normal practice to see your patients according to arrival. If I didn't bring my son, well, it probably would've been a different story. read more

I'm writing this review with great admiration and respect for Dr. Montane and his amazing staff. I've been seeing him for over 20 years now and this past year I endured my first extraction and implant. The compassion and care that I received through the entire process was second to none. They are always professional, patient and took the time to answer all questions needed to calm my nerves. The end result was absolute perfection! Dr. Montane is a master at his craft and is surrounded by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Montane, Kathy, Terry and Yvette. I would highly recommend Dr. Montane for all your dental needs. read more

When I was 21 I finally sucked it up and picked a dentist. I hate going to the dentist as much as anyone but my teeth were hurting so what else could I do? I lucked out with Dr. Montane. He's not the type of guy that will make you feel guilty about not seeing him every 6 months. And because he doesn't force himself down your throat (so to speak), it makes it easier to make appointments to see him regularly. So 12 years later I still see him, and so does my wife and 2 boys. Very cool dentist. read more

I have been going there for 7 years and reallly like them. The staff is friendly and Dr. Montane is professional and quick! I just wish he would get TV's in there that play movies or shows and not a constant image rotation on the TV's of before and after surgery/procedures. Yuck! Unfortunately, I am going to get a new dentist since they are closer, but do recommend trying Dr. Montane. read more

I will never recommend this dentist. He told me that I have a cavity. He then filled the teeth. After the filling, I am still concern my teeth, because I thought this is not the only cavity I have. I go to find other dentists for second options. They all told me that the filling job Dr.Montane is not good and need to redo the job, besides that bad filling, I have other cavities, which confirm my thought. Since he already bill the filling on that tooth. I need to pay on my own for the redo filling. I would rate 0 for him. I have seem many dentists because I have bad teeth. And he is one of the worst I ever met. read more

Wow! I'm so impressed. Dr. Montane is warm, caring and extremely knowledgeable. I immediately felt comfortable as soon as we met. He came highly recommended by several of our friends. His office staff is fantastic, and I am so happy to have found him. I highly recommend his practice. read more

Dr. Montane has consistently been a compassionate and professional dentist for all of my dental care needs. I came to his practice for an emergency crown after breaking a tooth at the beach. His office got me in to see him right away. I was so impressed with his staff and genuine concern for my care that I have remained a patient ever since. In addition, my cleaning appointments have also been first-rate. I appreciate the customer service from the front office staff. Every one of my insurance questions have been answered and explained. Also, there is always a smile to greet me! In all, I have always felt like a valued customer. I believe it is important to mention that Dr. Montane has NEVER rushed me, or the work he is doing. I am so grateful for his patient and thorough effort to provide a pain-free experience every time. Dr. Montane always checks with me to be sure I am comfortable during any of his procedures. Since my first visit, I have had 2 other lesser quality crowns replaced with the same level of service and kind regard. In addition, I do like how approachable Dr. Montane is - and that he will explain everything he is doing. Dr. Montane's respectful, competent and kind regard allows me to recommend him with complete confidence. I am happy to report that there has been equal agreement from those I have recommended to his office. read more

I have to agree with some of the earlier reviews, Dr. Montane seems to be a very good dentist, but I have had awful experiences with the hygienist. Also, I went in for several procedures over the course of about six weeks. Honestly, I never really felt that they were as concerned about what work I needed most as what would get them the most out of my insurance. read more

Dr. Montane is the only dentist for me! He is kind, gentle and always makes sure I am comfortable when in the chair. He has been my family dentist for years and I wouldn't dream of going to anyone else even if I had to drive an hour! That is saying a lot for me because I hate driving! He has state of the art equipment and always seems ahead of the game when it comes to knowing all the best procedures and new solutions. He is the reason I have healthy teeth, gums and a radiant smile! Thank you Dr. Montane! read more

Dr. Montane is awesome, our whole family goes here and our kids love him! He is very professional and I trust that he will treat us right, so much so that I often will refer my clients to him (soon to be brides and grooms). Professional dentist with and amazing staff!! read more

Dr. Montane has been my family dentist for the past 7 years. I have tried several dentists before but I never stuck to a dentist until I found Dr. Montane. I read up on his experience and background and decided to go to him. My kids feel very safe in Dr. Montane's care. We come to his office very regularly for cleanings, etc. and the front desk costumer service is professional and friendly. The front staff always have little toys and stickers for the little ones. Even now they try to give my kids stickers or toys, but they have outgrown that. Dr. Montane does not advertise himself as a children's dentist but he should. He is excellent with kids. My kids have a had a lot of dental work done here and they have never been in pain, or any kind of discomfort other than the normal discomfort which is expected after a filling, extraction, or other procedure. My kids are not the most excited when going to the dentist but they know they are in good hands and they trust Dr. Montane as well. I have also had some dental work here like regular cleanings, fillings, and have had a wisdom teeth removed without any discomfort. I have observed that Dr. Montane is very ethical, intelligent, trustworthy, and maintains professionalism in his practice. He sees each patient himself. He calls me after any of us have any dental work to see how we are doing. I would highly recommend Dr. Montane. read more
