Went in once for some dental work before the rename (which I thought was good) and now they have someone from their office that keeps sending me the "you have an appointment at date X at time Y" (pretty sure they have a number spam list) - said I did not schedule an appointment with them and told them to remove the appointment. I had an excellent experience at Hillside Smiles & Co. The whole team is very friendly and professional. My wisdom tooth was extremely difficult to extract because I cannot open my mouth widely. Most other doctors had referred me to a surgeon for further operation. Before coming here as an emergency patient, I was very worried I would be referred again while suffering from severe pain. But Dr. Chan and his team accepted me right away, treated me with great kindness, and tried their very best for me. I end up with a dislocated jaw I stopped them two times to let them know that they were putting a lot pressure on my jaw. I left in pain and the next day I had a hard time moving may jaw. Is been over two weeks and I still in pain. I am going back today and will see what happens read more

And Dr. Montane is up to date with his credentials (ADA, CDA and the county dental society--stickers on his door!) His establishment is situated in the heart of Fremont l; next door to a park, library, police station and about a mile away, freeways of 880 and 237. I've been going to Dr. Montane's practice since I first moved to Fremont back in 2013 and throughout the years I've moved to different cities, I always remembered to come back for a dental visit with Dr. Montane. From getting chrome retainers made, routine visits and then my last procedure with the gum tissue graft, Dr. Montane is the only one I trust with my dental work. The most recent procedure, I literally avoided having done for two years and after all was said and done now that I'm a month into a successful recovery, it's like it never happened in the first place. The most painful part of the procedure had to be the administration of the lidocaine, and everything else was pretty smooth. I did not feel any pain in the beginning, during and after my gum tissue graft procedure from a month ago. This dentist does live up to his motto, "no pain with Dr. Montane!" I was looking for an emergency DDS I came upon Montane dental care. I got the same day appointment. When they found out the pain I was in they made definitely some moves to make sure I was not leaving that office in the pain I came in with. From the time I walked in the door there was a feeling I was priority. The staff in the back was the same over 5 star treatment. Dr. Montane was the best. Although I was so nervous was waiting to get the riot act about how long It's been since I went to the dentist. He did the opposite he just wanted me to long feel any pain. FYI Dr. Montane called me himself the day after to check that I was feeling better. Not his staff but he took time out to call me. That had NEVER happened to me. I recently this past year starting going to Dr. Montane Dental Care, and I'm very happy with the dental work I've had done. He's given me back my smile and it feels great again. I honestly believe and trust in his advise on what is the best outcome for what I need to have done to my teeth issues. I needed a bottom denture, he made and did an unusual denture so that I could still save the few teeth I had left on the bottom. I'm really happy with what he did for me. I absolutely cannot thank them enough. My son awoke with a tooth abscess. His usual dentist and orthodontist are closed Fridays. It was very swollen, infected, and painful. I have bad teeth and have had a lot of dental work done over the years. Dr. Montane is the worst dentist I have ever tried. I was referred to him by my neighbors, who love him. I wanted to find someone close to my house. His work was sloppy and he was rough. The crown (a replacement for an old crown) he put on did not fit. My cheek hurt, where he gave me my shot, for several weeks after he did the work, bad enough to take Advil for the pain for over a week - I have never had that experience before. When I had the crown redone by another dentist, he found decay under the new crown. I drive out to Saratoga now, even though I live in Fremont, just because I have a very good dentist out there. I also spent time in the waiting area, listening to the staff check charts, see if there was dental insurance left, then call people to get them to come in. read more

I'm writing this review as I am sitting in the dentist chair now. I have only been a patient since last year (3rd visit now) and has since recently became a mom. I didn't want to cancel my appt. so I asked my dad to come w me so that he can watch my son while I'm in this chair. Well, after my teeth got cleaned, I asked if I could check on them in the lobby so I did... It was just for a brief moment (bc I knew I was next for the Dr) but when I walked back, he went to the next patient. Ok, really?!? You couldn't have walked a short distance to come get me? That's what I thought would happen, someone would let me know to come back. It's a small office, where would I have gone?!? well, I'm sitting here now wasting my time waiting for him. Time is sooo extremely more precious to me eversince I've become a mom & this just really sucks. I can't even begin to express how frustrated I am. He went to a patient after me who needed to do fillings and other work... I am simply here for my checkup and should be in and out! That lady should've waited until after I was done. Yes, he's a nice guy and good conversationalist while being tended to, but I guess I took for granted that it's normal practice to see your patients according to arrival. When I was 21 I finally sucked it up and picked a dentist. I hate going to the dentist as much as anyone but my teeth were hurting so what else could I do? I lucked out with Dr. Montane. He's not the type of guy that will make you feel guilty about not seeing him every 6 months. And because he doesn't force himself down your throat (so to speak), it makes it easier to make appointments to see him regularly. So 12 years later I still see him, and so does my wife and 2 boys. I will never recommend this dentist. He told me that I have a cavity. He then filled the teeth. After the filling, I am still concern my teeth, because I thought this is not the only cavity I have. I go to find other dentists for second options. They all told me that the filling job Dr.Montane is not good and need to redo the job, besides that bad filling, I have other cavities, which confirm my thought. Since he already bill the filling on that tooth. I need to pay on my own for the redo filling. I would rate 0 for him. I have seem many dentists because I have bad teeth. His office got me in to see him right away. I was so impressed with his staff and genuine concern for my care that I have remained a patient ever since. Also, I went in for several procedures over the course of about six weeks. Dr. Montane has been my family dentist for the past 7 years. I have tried several dentists before but I never stuck to a dentist until I found Dr. Montane. I read up on his experience and background and decided to go to him. My kids feel very safe in Dr. Montane's care. We come to his office very regularly for cleanings, etc. and the front desk costumer service is professional and friendly. The front staff always have little toys and stickers for the little ones. Even now they try to give my kids stickers or toys, but they have outgrown that. Dr. Montane does not advertise himself as a children's dentist but he should. He is excellent with kids. My kids have a had a lot of dental work done here and they have never been in pain, or any kind of discomfort other than the normal discomfort which is expected after a filling, extraction, or other procedure. My kids are not the most excited when going to the dentist but they know they are in good hands and they trust Dr. Montane as well. I have also had some dental work here like regular cleanings, fillings, and have had a wisdom teeth removed without any discomfort. I have observed that Dr. Montane is very ethical, intelligent, trustworthy, and maintains professionalism in his practice. He sees each patient himself. I LOVE MY DENTIST!!! I have been going to him for 19 years and he does excellent work. What I love the most is when he gives me a shot. I do not feel anything. I hate getting shots! That's what I fear the most! He's very professional and very friendly. The front office does a great job. Very friendly and accomadating to my schedule. They also maximize my insurance and monitor it so I don't do over my maximum benefits. So, I dont have to pay that much.
